George C Liu, DDS

Really, really nice dentist! I have been searching for a dentist because my previous dentist was retired. I met with a dozen of dentists and Dr. Liu definitely stands out to be the most caring, knowledgeable with patience to listen. He offered to check my teeth free of charge and gave me some advice which definitely makes sense and is not too radical, since I have no intention to have celebrity-​type white and perfect teeth.
I called his office for some questions. Within 10 minutes, he returned my call and scheduled me a visit in the next couple of days. Wow, quick services. And he works on Saturday too!

Amazing! I have been to several Dentists and he tops the charts. Dr. Liu is so honest and patient. I am afraid of dental work and he made the experience very pleasant. I had three cavities filled an was amazed at the results as well as the affordability. If you’re looking for a REPUTABLE dentist that is honest in the Sherman Oaks area, search no more. Very affordable compared to the other dentists in the whole area. He has the MAGIC touch. It was so quick and painless!

I hardly give great reviews unless I come across something special. Dr. Liu and his staff are very friendly and they have your best interest at heart. I was seeing another dentist (beware of these guys) in Encino on Ventura Bl. and I find out that I do not have gum disease, 14 cavities, all cracked teeth and in need of a whole rework. Dr. Liu was great, he answered my questions without an attitude, took the time to explain and was gentle and fast. I am truly amazed at how HONEST and AFFORDABLE he is. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!

I’ve known Dr. Liu for about 20 years, when he was just starting out. We all know there are several types of dentist; Dr. Liu definitely belongs in the «healer» class. He truly cares for and recommends what is in his patients’ best interests.
Clinically, Dr. Liu has a very light yet deft touch, making visits quick and painless. During a procedure, he continues to ask how you are doing, and doesn’t mind giving you a few minutes to get readjusted.
Dr. Liu graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry, so you can trust that academically he’s in the top ten percent of his profession, and takes continuing education to stay on the cutting edge.
The staff are kind and helpful, the clinic immaculate, the equipment up-​to-​date and they even validate for the structure next door! How many doctors do that anymore?
Honestly, what more could you ask for?
In light traffic it takes me about 45 minutes to get to his office, but I wouldn’t go to anyone else: A doctor you can trust is (forgive the triteness) worth his weight in gold.

There are several reasons why my family of four would drive here for Dr. Liu from the west side (only a 20 minutes drive anyway). Dr. Liu is skilled, caring and a doctor with excellent work ethics. His patients’ health and interest is his top priority. The office staff are also very helpful. If you are looking for the best dentist and one who is honest and genuinely cares about you, look no more.

My family has been going to Dr. Liu for over 8 years now. He truly is one of the best dentist in the industry. His work is flawless! In addition, his office staff are friendly, well trained and considerate of your time. I would highly recommend Dr. Liu.

I’ve been going to Dr. Liu for 4 years. He has great attention to detail. And, what a kind man. Office staff are great too. Highly recommend him. I especially like that he suggested I try a crown before having a root canal instead of jumping right to it. After a couple of weeks the crown was great.

People, this guy has a flawless mountain of five-​star reviews for a reason. The best dentist I’ve ever encountered, and I was a dentist shopper.
All I have to add is that Dr. George excludes integrity. He doesn’t avoid questions. He’s not afraid of conversation. He actually enjoys explaining the science of dentistry to unknowledgeable patients!
When he doesn’t have the answer to a question, which isn’t often, he says «I don’t know.» This radiates confidence and honesty. Why this escapes so many dentists, and people in general, is beyond me.
Oh, and Dr. George’s chair-​side manner is considerate and gentle too.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Liu for many years now and I love the warmth of his office team, particularly Claudia. She runs a tight ship! I’ve never waited more than a few minutes before I’m whisked into the chair. Dr. Liu runs what must be the most efficient dental practice I’ve seen — in, cleaned, x-​rayed and out within 30 minutes. It’s an awesome dental experience. The building is convenient and the parking is super easy, which is a major benefit. As others have said, this is a small town dentistry experience in the middle of LA and it’s a very pleasant experience at that.

I work with dentists as a profession and I speak with over 20+ a day. Dr Liu is one of the most caring, respectful honest and on point dentist I know. He is so trustworthy that I would go with any recommendation he makes without having a second thought. I have been going to him for over 10 years and there is no way I would ever even consider switching. You feel like family at that office, and that’s because you know they love and care about every patient. Claudia is so educated and professional, yet is so personalized and comfortable and the adorable hygienist gets the job done so well that an hours work goes by in a flash. I’m looking forward to my next appointment just so I can come back to see these amazing people again! On top of that they validate and the parking is extremely convenient. Thank you thank you thank you dr Liu and staff, you are all greatly appreciated by me, my family and all the referrals I have sent that had nothing but positive things to say!!!

BEST DENTIST EVER! I went for the first time a few weeks ago and George Liu was very informative, patient, nice, friendly and very well educated. He took his time with me, explained every detail on procedures and also recommended several things. He was very personal, at the same time very professional. I will continue my treatments with him and I also recommended my sister there. His staff is also very friendly, professional and they had all great personalities. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Dr. Liu is awesome. Smart, kind, honest, and down-​to-​earth. No ego, no upselling– he honestly makes you feel like family. Claudia the office manager does too. Dr. Liu does cleanings himself, doesn’t pass you off to someone else, answers all of your questions and never makes you feel rushed. And if Claudia is out to lunch and he isn’t with a patient, he answers the phone himself. (I know this from experience). Small-​town office atmosphere in the middle of LA, what a gem.
And yes LA folks, they validate.

Feel very fortunate to happen upon this wonderful dentist for my family. I don’t know what is better the friendliness of the office staff or Dr. Liu’s manner with his patients. It feels like a small town doctors office, but in LA. They are very reasonable/​fair with their charges and payment process and take insurance. Appointments are super easy to make with them as well. Overall great experience for myself and my teen!

Dr. Liu is a caring and sensitive professional. His staff is always friendly. His receptionist/​assistant, Claudia, is the best! She knows all the insurance ins and outs. The office is always clean, has plenty of magazines in the waiting room, he gives away free toothbrushes, travel-​size floss, and Listerine after your appointment. They have late afternoon appointments and also are open every other SATURDAY! Super convenient for us working people!

I meant to write a review years ago. I was referred to Dr. Lui from my previous dentist in San Francisco. I have been going here for at least 7 years. He is very friendly, remembers me well, great staff, and never sells me on extra work. Prior dentists normally have the assistant handle cleanings, but Dr Lui often does it himself and has the assistant handle the polishing only. I have never had to wait, and they validate parking no matter the time (makes sense to validate for many hours, because if I am there for too many hours that means I am paying a very big bill and am probably worth the extra $ 10). His wife is also a dentist, which somehow makes me feel more confident in his work and credibility. He has always made me feel comfortable and cared for all these years. I definitely recommend him.

Besides being an outstanding dentist he is very kind and considerate… If you like Honestly he is the one for you… I am 100% satisfied with his consultation and what has to be done. Had an emergency with my boyfriend. his bridge in the front of his mouth came out. I panicked.went through Unilocal.stumbled on Dr. Liu office. the office manager Claudia picked up the phone and told me to come in. not only was it fast. But this office is the best when it comes down to customer service. I’m from the South where customer service is everything. this was the best.!! They told me upfront how much everything was and what needs to be done. Dr. Liu took his time and all of his medical assistants were beyond helpful in the process.!! Not only will I come back. but I must tell anyone who is looking for a dentist that he is the one. I highly recommend this office.!! Thank you Dr. Liu and staff… God Bless.

My husband introduced me to Dr. Liu and am glad he’s now our family dentist. Wonderful, friendly assistants with careful, steady hands! I would recommend him to anyone for general dentistry and teeth whitening!

From the moment I see his office, I know this is a different place. Totally change my view of a dental office. George is so nice and patient so you won’t even remember that he is a dentist. I think most people are like me, going to a dental office is automatically assigned to a low priority for many reasons. Unless I am suffering from a life threatening dental issue, I won’t think about making a dental appointment.
So why a dental-​phobic like me would write a review of a dental office?
First of all, the wall color of his office hallway is the same as the one in my living room. This is very clever. What’s a better to calm the patients down than providing a homing feeling.
Second of all, George explains everything so well that there is no «surprises» there. I have done some dental work that I didn’t even know why and what other options were in the past. So I feel more comfortable when the dental work is not just a black box.
Last but not least, you need to trust someone who is operating a power tool in your mouth. You can sense that George is very professional and experienced right away.
The only thing I can complain about his office is that it’s just so far from my place.
