My definite go-​to for any auto need.
I moved to the Valley (and LA in general) less than a year ago, and after such a drive (from Austin) — of course there were car needs to brush up.
I’ve been here for oil changes, brake replacements — even windshield wiper updates during rainy-​night fiascos! And they always take care of me right away — or let me know when to call them to do so.
Today was such a day — an oil change — to remind me to write this review! Vick had other cars in front — so instead of waiting, he told me to call him an hour from to check in. I got some record-​shopping done at Freakbeat, called him, and he told me to come on by to fit me in between his other clients. I zoomed by (as quickly as traffic and construction could allow me) and he got me in right away. He’s really great at explaining what my car needs, without making me feel silly for not knowing much about cars. He also told me my options, and when I considered synthetic oil — which would be more expensive — he told me to not go that route, since it wasn’t what would benefit my car. And I very-​much appreciate that he delivers the truth over profit.
He’s always busy, which proves his popularity, yet always efficient and reliable — in that he doesn’t waste one’s time, whilst always being there for them, and is honest and prompt on top of it all! — to warrant my return service.
He explained how I needed coolant and transmission-​fun for my next visit — without trying to hustle it for today’s trip, and while explaining it in a way I could understand. So yes — I will be back to Vick for those exact things.
And, oh yes — the brakes work great, as LA traffic is certain to ascertain soon-​after. Very grateful for Vick’s work. Stay safe, Y’all, and get fixed up here!

If you read my review about Just Tires, then you know the story. After getting the run around from them, I called these guys who gave me a quick quote over the phone. Brought my car in for an oil change, and was out in 25 minutes. Price was ½ of what Just Tires and Jiffy Lube wanted to charge.
I really like these guys. They’re a small shop, not some big box store, so they take care of their customers. They know customer service means more business and referrals. You would think the bigger shops would get this, but they focus on customer acquisition and not retention (yes, I rock at business marketing).

Very clean shop, they are honest, quick and very professional.
They didn’t have the part that my truck needed, so they ordered from their parts shop and 20 mins later it arrived and they installed.
I will definitely be coming back.

Just came here for a smog check. I called ahead of time, he said come in about an hour. We showed up. They checked it. Gave me my paperwork and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. Pretty sweet. Totally nice. We found out their prices for oil changes are less than Jiffy Lube up the street, which we used last time. Looks like we found a solid, low cost, quick automotive shop. Thank you guys.

Thank you Vahik for fitting me in immediately. I called and said that I was in the area and wanted to get a smog test. He said come by now, I did and was out within 15 minutes!

Great service & attentive staff! Very reasonable prices as well. I don’t know much about cars, but they walked me through the process and made it seem like a breeze, unlike some other shops I encountered in the valley. They were honest & cheaper than anywhere else I had been to for the same repairs, yet the service I received was still amazing. Highly recommend!

Got in and out quickly. The Unilocal deal makes is sound like you’ll get the SMOG inspection and certificate for $ 29.75. The certificate is an additional $ 8.25. So it’s $ 38. That price is average. I did randomly show up on a Saturday and was seen right away but maybe that was luck. Would recommend but the Unilocal deal is misleading.

Excellent service and very friendly. Would have got 5 stars but they are suppose to open at 8am and no one showed up until 8:20.

Vahik and his team are great.
I took me and my bf’s car here initially for an oil change last year and I got great service at a decent price. Both cars were done in about an hour.
When my A/​C stopped working on my car this month, the 1^st place I thought of was to bring it to Vahik since he gives complimentary diagnoses. I decided to proceed with him fixing the expensive problem b/​c I just can’t go without A/​C in this hot LA weather.
He did a great job with the part replacement and repair and I was on my way. BUT, weeks later, the A/​C started blowing hot air again, so I went back to Vahik to look into the problem because I thought it was fixed. He hooked up my car to the diagnosis machine and assessed the engine with his colleague and found another problem with some loose wiring/​circuit. He told me to leave my car for a few hours and repaired it free of charge.
Now that’s what I’m talking about! :-)
Sucks that I had to take the car back since the problem wasn’t fixed the first time, but I really loved the customer service i received and the time they spent on my vehicle without asking for more money.
Hopefully I don’t have to go back anytime soon, but if I do, at least I know I can trust Vahik. He’s a very honest man.
*On a side note. if you plan to use the Unilocal Deal, please let them know before they complete the invoicing.

The guy who did my smog check was cool. Decent price and went early on saturdays so we didnt have much of a wait. I woulld definitely suggest this place to anyone who wants to get this painful process done for their registration.

Easiest smog test ever. Drove up and was helped right away. The mechanic was not very talkative, but offered me a seat in the office while I waited. He told me before hand that is would be $ 38 and after I agreed he went to work. I expected it to be about the average 20 minutes, but a little more than ten minutes later I was DONE! I was shocked and very pleased. It was a total $ 38 and out the door I went. Come here, it is in the same lot as the 76 gas station.

I’m quite remiss for not posting this sooner. This place is the best repair shop around. My Cavalier wouldn’t start and I took it to Vick to check it out. Turns out the engine was busted and wasn’t worth fixing. Vick didn’t charge me anything for the inspection and even made sure I got a good deal on my car. I recommend this place to everyone!

There are oxymorons (jumbo shrimp, civil war, good grief), and then there’s the ultimate oxymoron: honest mechanic.
Vic and his team are a dream. End of story.
Plus the super-​sweet hunnies at the adjoining ’76 station have Pellegrino, pistachios, and a shaded place for customers to sit on the side of the shop. If your car requires a longer stay, head down to the famous Corky’s and The Cork Lounge, grab a Maker’s, flip open your laptop and get some work done.
It’s a very relaxing day, having Vic and the boyz work on your car. Seriously.

I needed some maintenance on my car and a friend referred me to Vick. My battery had died and my tires were just about worn out to the rim. Not only did I get a great deal on the products, but I received fast and excellent service.
I had previously taken my car to one of those chain auto repair shops and they quoted a ridiculous amount to me. They also told me that I needed to change the bearings on my tires because they were making a strange noise when I would brake. Not only did Vick charge me way less than what I was quoted at the chain store, but my tires stopped making the noise and I didnt need to change my bearings.
I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

As if registration renewal isn’t enough of a pain, dealing with a smog check always proves to be a hassle. My experience here was one of the least painful car situations I’ve dealt with.
Vick was extremely welcoming and did not miss a beat. I stressed that I was rushing and while usually employees take that as «well its LA, who isn’t rushing?,» Vick really stepped it up and I was ready to leave within 15 minutes of being on the property, and without a dent in my wallet.
He went as far as pointing out a problem on my vehicle that he did not know had already been diagnosed. He described the issue honestly, not knowing that I knew all about it. No exaggerating, no magnifying the problem… put quite simply: no BS.
Best of all, he didn’t relentlessly pursue the repairs, or you know, nag me to death like most people in the industry prefer to do after I tell them I’m not interested at this time. Instead, he chose to hand over a business card, thank me for my business, and wish me a good day while letting me know he’d be happy to fix the problem should I choose to repair it there.
Nice, genuine mechanics are hard to come by, and Vick fits the bill. I’ll definitiely be back… but probably 24 hours before my car threatens to explode due to my negligence.

Vick-​is the guy I dealt with at this station. I would trust him with my girlfriend and ATM card. My experience began by being towed to this station as it is the closest AAA blessed repair station near my house. I was VERY skeptical. I have a favorite mechanic but… he just happens to be 25 miles away. «Sorry previous mechanic but I’m breaking up with you– no don’t cry — it’s a distance thing.»
I had a fuel pump issue and it was diagnosed for free. Then I was given options and they were all honest and reasonable. He kept the car an extra day to make sure it started the next morning… who does that? Vick. That’s who. I have found my new neighborhood mechanic.
