I’ve been seeing Dr. Kirsch for 12 yrs and loved him. I referred many patients to him. 10 of his patients are probably my referrals. Whenever the subject of good doctors would come up, I would totally sell him. He was patient, listened well, calls you back personally, etc. If you needed to see a specialist, he would call the specialist right there and explain your situation and setup an appointment for you. He had the best bedside manner.
Today something happened that was very disappointing. I’m an alcoholic and was 18 years sober. I had surgery and was given pain medication. I abused the pain medication and relapsed after 18 years. It was very difficult to get sober again, but I did.
I’m 7 months sober now and have a serious medical issue that’s putting my life at risk. I cannot work because I’m not able to function. I was seeing a specialist and was frustrated with him so I called Dr Kirsch. He basically said he wanted nothing to do with addicts and wouldn’t help me. I wasn’t asking for drugs, in fact I told him I couldn’t take any addictive drugs. But I can’t work or drive and need help. He said he wouldn’t help me. It was really shocking and upsetting.

Dr. Kirsch has been my primary physician for over 20 years. I have always received the best care and attention from him and his courteous staff and have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for my appointment. You get personal old fashioned no nonsense care. I chose Dr. Kirsch for convenience because I lived around the corner, I still drive half an hour to see him after I moved 10 years ago! I do not mind at all paying the annual fee to help keep this establishment going and to get my prescriptions called in and renewed in a prompt manner.

Saw Doctor Gordon as a new patient. Great guy, gave good advice and made sure I understood everything he told me. It had been years since I had been to a doctor and he made me feel totally comfortable. Great bedside manner. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would go again or get a beer with the man.

I have known dr kirsch for over 10 years for theist part he is a good doctor but he has to learn to control his mouth and carry himself as a doctor and not a messenger since I have taken my daughter there and my daughter said that dr kirsch told her that she is smarter than she looks can you believe that comment? My daughter is a psychologist and she certainly looks and acts smart and dr kirsch didn’t take care of my ear problem to clean my ear and it was infected and his staff told him that they couldn’t clean my ear so I had to go up urgent care on a weekend and sure enough urgent care did take care of my problem and I paid them too by the way dr kirsch has charged me $ 125 and didn’t do anything Such a shame

Ive been going to Dr Kirsh since 20 009, he’s has changed through the years especially after the death of my gran mother, he doesnt want to sign medical forms from my employer, ive been cursed at by him, i asked for a doctors note for my employer and put me on ristricted duty whithout telling me, cause he wants me ta come back and pay my bill, he stated i should be fired from my job, because he always writing me doctors notes, and im always calling off sick, even though he states my illness is job related, this is a very bad doctor. i have ppo, but im always hit with a 25 dollor co-​pay, i received a bill for 120.00 dollar’s and then two weeks later, i recieved another bill for 253 dollars and he states beacuse of Obama care, your insurance doent cover, my new doctors states you dont pay anything, you have ppo, not even a co-​pay Dr kirsch is a ripp off, he cares more about his money than your medical condition, he usually gives me medication from his cabinet, but this time he says i only give out medication to patients who pay their bill on time, mmm OH REALLY !!! i NEVER HAD A DOCTOR TELL ME I SHOULD BE FIRED FROM MY JOB … THATS CRAZY !!! I INFOMRED MY BOSS AT WORK ABOUT THIS DOCTOR, HE SAYS GET RID OF HIM !!!

Just got a letter in the mail stating that I should send these jokers a check for $ 175 for administration fees… Seriously? THAT’S what’s costing your office so much to run? Sending emails and letters? No. I’m sorry but no. An annual fee to go to the doctor about once a year is freaking ridiculous. How about I charge you assholes a fee every time I have to wait past my appointment time or when I have to write you checks? I’d like to be reimbursed for gas for driving there and to get my prescription, but noooooo we don’t get everything we wish for right? Yeah, sorry, Dr. Gordon is a nice guy and all, but this is seriously outrageous. I already hurt for money as it is, I don’t have the money to pay your office random over-​the-​top fees. It’s sad because they’ll probably lose a lot of patients. I definitely won’t be back.
My Previous Review:
Dr. Gordon is a wonderful old guy. He’s really funny, very nice and always gives the best care. This place is hidden on Sherman Oaks Ave, in a cute neighborhood where there’s basically always street parking so you never have to worry about finding a spot. They now have this cool little system that they use to digitally send your prescription to your pharmacy of choice so you won’t have to wait as long for it. My only gripe is one or two of the receptionists can be a little stern, but usually I just kill ‘em with kindness and it works almost every time. I’ve been seeing Dr. Gordon for quite a few years now and he’s definitely a doctor I trust.

A hidden gem. This is an old-​school practice — some of the equipment around the office looks practically like it belongs on a movie set. But these guys are smart doctors with tons of experience, and these days you’ll find them zipping your prescriptions off to your local pharmacy from their iPads. I’ve never waited in their office more than a few minutes for an appointment, and they’ve always been able to accommodate me with an an urgent-​care issue.
