History
Established in 2010.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2009, Sugar Babies Cupcakery sisters and co-owners Rachel Crystal and Kassandra Workman quickly tiring of the over-sized, cookie-cutter local sweets. Taking a chance, they began forming Sugar Babies Cupcakery in January of 2010, and by October that year, their first food truck had hit the streets! Since then, they have expanded from a one-truck-cupcake shop to two trucks, a storefront, and a growing line of custom creations. Now in their 6th year, their sweet treats have been a hit on the E! Special «LA Sugar», the Queen Latifah Show, and Disney’s Home and Family, in addition to publications like People, LA Magazine, and the LA Times. As the popularity of their shop grows, the sisters continue to expand their dream, bringing desserts all over Southern California, and eventually nation-wide!

Sisters Kassandra and Rachel grew up in Salt Lake City, UT, and later in Dallas, TX as they moved around with their mother and younger brother. After graduating highschool, Kassandra was briefly a flight attendant before pursuing her dream of opening a bakery. Originally catering macaroons and cookie bouquets to friends and local businesses in Las Vegas, she moved to Los Angeles to expand her business in 2009 with sister Rachel. In 2010, the women saw a need for fun, flavorful, and reasonably-priced and portioned desserts in L.A. In just a few months, the delectable minis of Sugar Babies Cupcakery made their debut. The sisters still frequent the store many days a week, and pride themselves on providing direct owner-to-client customer service.
