Clean Peace

I was really excited to use Clean Peace when I found them online bc of their eco-​friendly products. I even had 2 houses lined up who wanted appointments. I received an initial email with a questionnaire for me to fill out, which I promptly did, but I never heard anything back! I wrote multiple follow up emails to see when they were available to start with both houses and never even received a courtesy email back!
I was between housekeepers and just needed a little extra help, no more than 2 times per month but they couldn’t even have the decency to call or email me.
I wish they would have had better customer service or I would have probably stayed with them just for the eco friendly products, regardless of the cleanliness.

At first, this service was great!!! I absolutely loved it. However, the cleaner that used to come to my home left the company. Too bad too because she was awesome! So I gave it a shot with a new crew… that didn’t turn out so well. Plus it was always a bit challenging to get appointments and hear back from the office, even though I tried via email and telephone. I have since used other random people and now will be trying a new regular service cuz my house is narsty!
Two stars is the middle between my initial 4 star experience, and the decline in service at the end.
To be fair, I haven’t used their service in probably about 6 months, FYI.

I have had reguarly cleaning with Clean Peace for almost 2 years now and once in a while, they’ll have to reschedule or cancel my cleaning due to someone leaving the company which is fine. However, in these past few weeks, I’m really perplexed. I’ve tried to call and email several times to re-​schedule a cleaning (since they emailed that they were closed Thanksgiving weekend) but no one has answered the phone or returned my email. Is this business even open and running? Seriously, if I have to constantly call/​email to re-​schedule a cleaning and not get a response, then they’re not a reliable business and its not worth my time and money.

I made a purchase, October, from their online website and they happily took my money and have not sent shipping info nor responded to any of my inquires.
Not worth the hype… look elsewhere for Clean Peace options!
As of December 2^nd my money was retrieved via my bank as the company failed to provide product or service. What conversation I did get in regards to my online purchase was in such a manner to drag out the transaction so that I would not be eligible to receive a refund.

So far we’re totally impressed.
Cat and Clay were super friendly and asked us what we wanted them to focus on for the first clean. We gave them a few problem areas and then just let them go to town with the rest. They did an excellent job and we were so thrilled to come home to a house that was deep cleaned.
A few days before, I noticed some dust on in a crevice framing of one of our accordion doors (very hard to see unless you’re looking for it) which I left there to get a sense of how thorough our new cleaners would be. Sure enough, when I came back the dust was gone.
Other things they did a great job on — they cleaned the microwave, the bathtub (not sure how, but they got it cleaner than I do), the faucets were sparkling, they offered to put new sheets on our bed, and they brought us some flowers and left teabags on our pillows. Nice touch!
Perhaps the best part about this company is they use earth-​friendly cleaning products so I didn’t have to worry about myself, my pregnant wife, or our dog breathing in chemicals. When we came home the house smelled great.
We are planning on using Clean Peace again in the near future.

I waited until my 2^nd cleaning (the upkeep cleaning) before posting a review.
Clay and another cleaner were right on time, just like the first appointment. They did everything I expected and much more in the 2 hours I paid for. As other reviewers have said there is really nothing nicer than coming home and having everything in order and organized all at the same time.
I most appreciate the small touches like wrapping up cords, tucking bed sheets like we were in the military, and even if they aren’t «organizing» stuff feels more in order after they’ve come through. This will definitely continue to be a recurring service.

I bought a new Dyson. I have two long haired cats. I do my best.
But sometimes… I just need someone to help out with the things I can’t get to… and the awesome people from Clean Peace are always SUCH a spectacular help.
It’s not only that they’re great at their job; they’re genuinely trustworthy, down to earth, chill and articulate folks. And they use those two hours wisely.
I just had my apartment done by Clay U. and what a great experience. We chatted intermittently and it was a real joy; I’d recommend not only the company but definitely him as an exceptional artist of cleaning, haha! Made the time fly by.
Check them out. You really won’t be disappointed.
Also– every person I’ve had clean my place has been super nice to my cats even though they are super interested in «helping» clean: aka, getting in the way!

Forever, it seems, I’ve been dying to get my place clean. I work all the time and just dump my stuff everywhere all week, then have maybe a day off to clean it all up, run all my errands, see all my friends…
I just can never get to it all. I promised myself if I could get things picked up, I would have someone else do all the cleaning!
I called Clean Peace and was not disappointed. Jilly, my cleaner, was right on time — not too early for me to be unprepared for her and not too late. She was super friendly. We did a walk through to discuss problem areas, expectations, etc. and she asked if she could rearrange anything that she thought might be better in a different arrangement, etc.
I was out running errands for the majority of her time in my place. When I returned, I was so happy. Everything was clean, AT ONE TIME! It gave me such peace to have a clean home again. And Jilly did some great rearranging & organizing so that everything looked better, too! Not to mention the beautiful flowers she placed all around my apartment — a really sweet touch. And there were no toxic fumes, since they use all natural cleaners!
It was nothing short of great to have all that spring cleaning done and not by me! Thanks, Clean Peace!

Buyer beware.
Look for the pattern in the negative responses, and you will see if this place is for you. Ignore the good reviews because they can’t all be real.
I now reduce my review to 1 star (because I can’t give a zero) based upon the recent fraudulent response of the business owner regarding deep scuffs on the floors and walls. What BS!!!
I just had my walls painted so besides of a couple of removable marks made by a moving box or something, the walls were spotless. Also, the floor scuffs (there were maybe 6 – 8 tiny tough spots in a small kitchen) took not even ten minutes each to remove entirely — SO it was actually just dirt in the cracks of the floor that was not cleaned up thoroughly by this service.
Since posting my initial review, I learned from my housemate that the girl who cleaned our apartment, Jilly, strangely spent the bulk of her time upstairs in my rather small bedroom/​bathroom. Was she texting or something? We will never know. What I do know is this seems to be CP’s typical response to their negative reviews and there is a definite pattern here.
Buyer beware.

I’ve been using Clean Peace for several months now, and couldn’t be happier. I love the way my place feels (and smells) walking in the door after a visit, it looks like a model home. My cleaner Sharece always does an amazing job, but last visit she brought extra firepower in the form of Emily. When I returned, the place gleamed, and they even took the time to put a set of sheets I had in the washer into the dryer and swept up a broken light bulb sconce near the back of my place, both without me having to ask. Not to mention my cat totally digs them, he follows them from room to room. He’s a guy cat, I don’t blame him. Excellent service, supreme attention to detail, always punctual, and very concerned about meeting your specific requirements, I don’t intend to use another cleaning service while I live within range of Clean Peace.

Clean Peace is great! Most cleaning companies send multiple people, and while that may be time efficient, I feel that I am always getting in the cleaners’ way. Clean Peace sent one person — Emiko, who is very professional and a great communicator, and she worked without me feeling like I was an intrusion in my own apartment.
Clean Peace also goes a step above — tea packets on the bed, flowers, all stuff they advertise, but Emiko went even one step above that by rolling all our socks that were strewn on the ground and organizing the hangers we had thrown in a corner.
The cleaning process was relaxing rather than stressful, and I will be using Clean Peace forever!

I had a great experience today with Clean Peace. I booked a few weeks ago, and Jilly and Sharece showed up on my doorstep right on time. I really appreciated the courtesy that showed. I was quoted for three hours, and Jilly and Sharece spent those three hours cleaning every inch of my apartment. Everything is spotless, and they were so considerate with all of my things. They asked me what I wanted them to focus on but they were able to thoroughly clean everything in that time. I couldn’t be happier with their work and will definitely be using Clean Peace again.

My apartment is so clean! I would have expected to pay more for organic products, but it was totally reasonable. Everything smells lovely and natural, not chemical-​y and cancer-​y like most cleaners. La Vonn is really cool and did a great job, even getting stains out of my tub that I thought were permanent. Victoria was friendly and helpful in setting up my appointment, and she took a full inventory of my needs ahead of time so La Vonn knew what to focus on. Overall, a great experience. I will absolutely use them again.

Clean Peace is just as awesome as their name suggests!
Not gonna lie, I am a total weird-​o. I like my stuff where my stuff is and I have organizational methods that make sense only to me.
I exchanged rapid fire emails with Clean Peace’s owner and she was very specific with what to expect (labor, cost, added values). La Vonn arrived and no joke, it was like an non-​annoying Mary Poppins entered.
At first I thought she was a mind reader or we were twins, separated at birth– NO, she’s just a flipping bomb-​diggity professional.
I grew up with house keepers, I’ve gone through 3 in LA (excused for theft, lying and lack of performance). I have realistic and basic expectations.
La Vonn did a once over, while being totally in tune with my crazy (general ‘OMG my place is a wreck’ paranoia). She will chill your blood preasure with her laugh (I sound like I am in love and well, sh*t, I kinda am with Clean Peace).
Her description of what could be accomplished in the time I scheduled was spot on. She checked in frequently giving me options to do more or less, always mentioning a price estimate. I extended my slot. Money is always on my mind, but damn best $$$ I’ve spent and it WAS SUCH A FAIR PRICE!
She worked for 5 hours, professionalism and steam never wavering. I literally could have eaten off my bath tub. I think my total was about $ 220.
I asked special attention be given to my wonky hard wood floors (that have unfortunate gaps between slats) — AGAIN, amazing results.
Clean Peace is LITERALLY the find of the CITY. (again, I am so hard to please or not annoy). I work from home and my spot is my writing and living sanctuary– that might be weird, but it’s my reality. Even my cranky Chihuahua didn’t bark at her!
They keep you in the loop as to what to expect, what to pay and what more or less they can do.
They are straight arrows AND AND AND are eco friendly!
I haven’t even mentioned the flowers, the aroma of the products. To die!
5 Stars– forwards, backwards and sideways.
These gals are smart business owners and kick ass at their execution of service.
Already schedule my next 2 visits.
Clean Peace fo’ life!

I contacted Clean Peace on behalf of a client who has been through several other cleaners in the year we have been working together. I was drawn to the eco-​friendliness of the business, despite not being impressed by their website (sorry, V … but it needs some work!).
From the moment I spoke to Victoria on the phone, though, I was hooked. I knew that Clean Peace was the business i was going to «sell» to my client, and that I was going to continue lobbying until he let me hire them to clean for him. Luckily, there was very little convincing needed — he heard «green cleaning» and he was anxious to give it a whirl.
Another huge bonus: Victoria seemed perfectly comfortable with the fact that I had not ever seen the house and was having to give approximations on everything she asked. (As a Virtual Assistant, my clients do not live in the same city — or even state — as I do, so sometimes hiring a contractor, subcontractor, or service provider can be extremely difficult.)
I contacted Victoria again, who was able to schedule the day AND time we needed, and as any good business owner should, portrayed complete confidence in the La Vonn, who would be doing the cleaning. La Vonn was prompt, thorough, and AMAZING. She called me, as requested, to let me know when she was completed with the job. She spent a few moments on the phone with me reviewing the nuances she found during the job, and going over what she thought might need to be done differently in the future. She double-​checked her list to make sure she’d covered everything I wanted done, and let me know what else she could do to help out.
La Vonn has been to my client’s home on two subsequent occasions — once for a «normal» cleaning, and once for a deep cleaning after he had 10 guests within a week’s time frame. All three times La Vonn has been to the home, my client has been completely satisfied with the work. While I have not had the pleasure of meeting La Vonn in person, we have spoken over the phone a few more times. She is pleasant and fun to talk to, and I can imagine that if she were cleaning my personal home, I’d would want to invite her to come early or stay late for a cup of tea and some refreshments.
Clean Peace is the FIRST cleaning organization I have found in the Highland Park/​Pasadena area (my client lived in Pasadena until January) that was not only cost-​efficient, but also thorough, practical, and eco-​friendly.

In early February I moved into my new place, and I had a short window of time for it being completely empty. I wanted a thorough cleaning before moving in all my stuff, so after calling around I found Victoria and Clean Peace here on Unilocal– so glad I called.
Victoria was so sweet and helpful on the phone, she suggested two girls for two hours of cleaning (it was a big, empty, 2BR/​2BA). I thought it would take more time, even for two people, but she said they’d take as long as it needed.
She sent over Adi and Lizzie, two English-​fluent, extremely friendly and extremely hard-​working young ladies. They seriously worked their butts off for 3 hours, and left me with a place fit to move into. They cleaned the walls, the blinds, inside and under the kitchen cabinets, asking me if there were specific places that needed extra attention. Let me say, the grimy nasty fridge and vents above the range (in the stove hood) were spic-​n-​span by the time they were done.
In a few months, once this place is dirtied up, I’ll be looking forward to having them back for another cleaning.
…and to boot, they left me some beautiful smelling flowers for my new place! Thanks Victoria, Adi, and Lizzie!

I have a lizard (technically a Tokay Gecko) that lives under my oven. The last time I hired someone off of Craigslist to clean my apartment, I tried to explain to her the situation, but either she did not believe me, or did not understand, because when she tried to clean in the area and was faced with the surprise of an unexpected relatively large reptile, a good deal of what I assume to be swearing and/​or praying en espanol occurred. I tipped her well, but she never returned.
A couple of months later, the place desperately needed cleaning. I wanted someone who used products that would not hurt my lizard or my dog, so Clean Peace seemed like a good fit.
The person I was sent was so nice, and super efficient. She seriously worked her ass off and got the place sparkling in a couple of hours. She was so friendly, spoke English fluently, and made me feel less embarrassed about the mess and the fact I was hiring someone to clean for me in the first place. I plan on hiring Clean Peace regularly. You should, too.

Triple win here.
1) Your house will shine and will never have looked cleaner. These woman are skilled at what they do and extremely professional.
2) You are helping a start-​up company and empowering hard working professionals to make a decent living. The customer service is also top-​notch with each person very friendly and skilled at their task.
3) They only use earth friendly materials so the environment is not sacrificed to make your home clean. How they get these detergent free products to work so well is beyond me.
I emailed Clean Peace for an estimate, and they called me back within an hour. Extremely impressive. I’m delighted to hire a housecleaning service that uses green products – safer for the cleaners to handle, and safer for me (and my pets) to live with.
Two very groovy ladies showed up on time, assessed my apartment and went to work right away. Three hours later I had a beautifully clean apartment from top to bottom. Every surface from the floors, windows and sills, counters, shelves, tables, rugs, moldings, tub and tile to the stove were all free of dust and grime.
I was left with some time to actually enjoy my clean apartment rather than giving the stink-​eye at the dust bunnies that are usually scampering around, but I also was left with a good feeling about supporting this worker run and owned business and the added bonus of being kind to the environment. I couldn’t have been happier and will be calling in for quarterly cleanings.
I’m elated. My house is immaculate. This is totally, totally worth the (affordable) splurge. I used to oppose the idea of having other people clean for you, but sometimes you just have to treat yourself.
I give this company the highest rating!

I’m very disappointed by clean peace. I was really hoping they would be great, but I was definitely let down.
Here’s what happened:
My appointment was scheduled for saturday at 3pm. I get a call from them at 2 or 2:30pm saying they are having car trouble. They said they would call back in half an hour to let me know if they were just running late or if we would need to re-​schedule. They did call back and needed to re-​schedule for the next day at 11am.
I have no problem with that. I know stuff happens, and they called me to let me know what was going on, so no big deal.
Sunday comes. It’s 11:10am and I get a voicemail saying they are leaving a job, running 10 – 15 minutes late, but they’re on their way. Again, I have no problem with this because they called me and let me know.
Here’s the problem:
By 12pm, no one had showed up. I called back the number they called me from and left a message asking if they were lost or if something happened.
No one called me back.
And no one ever showed up.
I didn’t leave the house until 4pm that day, so I know I didn’t miss them.
I waited to write this review until a couple days had passed… thinking the company might call me to explain what happened. To date, I have not heard from the company at all.

I think it’s pretty crazy when people can turn down work in this economy. Especially when clean peace ISN’T particularly cheap. I really wanted to use them, I mean REALLY wanted to! I loved all the little green details they talked about. I wanted to use them so bad, I called 7 times!!! No exaggeration, I even sent a nice email too, I got one phone call back after leaving 2 messages and I called back like 1 hour later and that was it I guess, I lost my ONE chance to talk to them? Get this too– on every message I left, I said I’m so sorry to bother you, You can email me, or call me anytime, I also said they can come at any time on the date the lady said they could come out on her one and only call back! I was basically as nice, easygoing and flexible as possible…
Is it just me or Is that really insulting? Just looking on craigslist, seeing just how many good hardworking ladies want work, and these people don’t have the decency to call someone (that wants to give them money!) back after 7 times!!! Use someone else, this place doesn’t reflect the values they talk about on their website, listen, if you’re busy, great! But call someone back!
