Nader’s Furniture Store

What’s with all the hate on Nader’s?! Ive come here several times now for furniture pieces that are more unique and better quality than IKEA, yet not as expensive as Pier 1 or Ashley’s and have been consistently pleased.
Every time I come, I’m greeted by nice staff and they let me stroll through the store without any hassle. They have lovely sofas and dining tables for very reasonable prices. I got a leather sectional sofa with cupholders, 2 recliners and a chaise for only $ 2,000! –significantly cheaper than the $ 4−5k I was seeing at Ashley’s and LazyBoy. It comes with a warranty, which was nice because 1 recliner did have an issue, but was able to replace it quickly for free. The warranty also covers any damages done to the leather, but luckily, I haven’t had any other problems with it.
I also bought a vintage inspired TV stand and a natural green and cherry marbled cabinet for $ 3 – 500, both of which look like one of a kinds to me. :)
Their delivery service is about $ 100 and the delivery crew are very careful not to scratch or scuff anything. However, if you can fit the furniture in your car/​truck, save the $ 100.
I recommend checking the store out if you’re shopping for new furniture. I’m pretty sure you would find something you like! :)

Bought a mattress set along with a headboard and bedframe two months ago the mattress started dipping after the first 30 days I called and complained then it took me two weeks to get a replacement after picking up the replacement this last past Saturday and unwrapping it once I got it home and noticed that the pillow top was flat and was wet inside the plastic that surrounded the mattress called in for my refund was told I couldn’t get a refund was told I have to switch out the mattress again this Saturday I don’t know what kinda furniture they are selling or what kind of business they are running but I will never purchase furniture from this furniture store

I came into the store about 15 minutes before closing time. I needed to buy a sofa and love seat. The sales person (Annette) was courteous and respectful. She showed me a few models and finally showed me a floor model which I liked. Since the store was closing, I was feeling a little rushed. Since they do not take orders over the phone and I knew I could not come back to the store to buy it, I decided to buy the floor model then and was ready to pay the full price. I only asked that they hold off on shipping it for one day until I’ve had a chance to look at the Nader’s website to make sure there wasn’t something else I could have liked better. I also felt I need to do this because the Signal Hill store is relatively small and it wasn’t possible to see all the sofas because some of them were elevated on shelves due to lack of space. Upon hearing my request, a gentleman (whose name I later found out to be Steve) came out and said that he would absolutely not refund or exchange the item after I’ve paid full price for it it, even if it hasn’t shipped. I reiterated that I only wanted a day to look at the Nader’s website before giving the OK to ship. The amount I would have paid is about $ 1100. I was shocked and informed Steve that I shopped at many stores and no one ever threatened to keep my money after I bought an item, if the next day I requested to exchange it for something else before it was even delivered. Steve was not all sympathetic and was rather harsh and aggressive. I informed Steve that I was feeling extremely uncomfortable at purchasing an item under such conditions. Steve then proceeded to say, «If you’re not going to buy anything, then I’m going to have to ask you to leave the store» as he escorted me out of the store. Shocked at amount of disrespect (not to mention what seemed like a barbaric store policy), I called Nader’s customer service to make a complaint. They were surprised at what Steve had said and done. They recommended I call the store and speak to Steve’s boss in order to make a complaint. After calling the store, Steve himself called me back and tried to explain to me that the store policy says there are no returns on floor models (even on an item that wasn’t even delivered yet). I asked him to read to me the store policy he was referencing but he refused. He was also unapologetic about the way he treated me and the way he asked me to leave the store. I asked him for his manager’s name but he said «I’m as high as it gets» and refused to provide a manager’s name or phone number. Since Steve provided me no avenue to escalate the complaint, I had no choice but to leave this review online. Whether or not this was the store policy, I had a terrible customer service experience. I think Annette (the previous sales woman) was courteous and respectful. Unfortunately, the manner which Steve treats customers does a great disservice to the business and to the customers.

This is my second time making a purchase from Nader’s in Signal Hill.
The store is always clean and has enough furniture to spend about an hour looking around.
Prices are fair for what you get, they have furniture for every budget. Would be nice if they offered a «returning customer discount»

I was in need of a new futon couch, and after searching all over Long Beach I found exactly what I was looking for at Nader’s for a very reasonable price. I came in on the fly about an hour before closing time and the sales person who helped me was friendly and engaging. I live about 5 – 10 minutes away from this location so I had thoughts of maybe taking it home that night, but seeing as I drive a Toyota Corolla and the only way they said they could make it fit is if they strapped it to the top of my car, I opted to pay $ 85 for their delivery service which did not include assembly.
Flash forward to the next day when it was supposed to arrive between 11 and 3. I had errands to run that day so I called and asked if they could push the delivery closer to 3. Now I should probably mention that the reason I needed a futon couch is because I had a family member coming to stay over that night, so getting the couch delivered and and assembled before they arrived was of importance to me. Anyway, the woman I spoke to about pushing the delivery told me that she would call the warehouse and the delivery driver would call me about ten minutes beforehand to notify me they were on their way.
Well it got to 3:00 and still no couch or phone call, so I called Nader’s for an update. The same woman who answered the phone earlier (and who rang me up the previous night) picked up. After I explained my situation and was placed on a brief hold, she informed me that when I opted for delivery the previous night she never put the delivery on the schedule. So my couch was still sitting in their warehouse, and all of their trucks were already out and could not deliver it that day. I asked to speak to the manager, and the manager offered his apologies but told me there was nothing that could be done to get the couch delivered that day. Well desperate times call for desperate measures, right? I grabbed a blanket, hopped in my car, and drove down to Nader’s. I was met by the manager, who again (not very sincerely) offered his apologies. He told me that they would refund my delivery charge and assist me in getting the box tied down to the top of my car.
Overall, I just can’t shake the feeling that there was no remorse for my situation what so ever. Both the manager and the woman who made the mistake just didn’t seem to care that a mistake was made, and didn’t seem willing to do any extra than what they were obligated to do to remedy the situation. I guess you can’t expect great customer service from every place, but it’s just such a let down when something like this happens and nothing is done to turn the experience into a positive one. The only reasons that Nader’s is getting two stars is because of the gentleman who helped me the night I purchased it, and the fact I didn’t have to pay a delivery charge when in fact bringing it home was something I was able to do myself. I don’t envision I will be bringing my business here again.

Be very careful about buying anything from the store in Signal Hill, especially if Joseph is the sales person. Delivered different bed frame than I ordered. Recliner is broken and I tried for 3 days to reach customer service only to find out I was given the wrong number. Sofa legs are scratched. I wanted to return sofa and recliner and found out there is up to 50% restocking fee. Just be very careful.

first off cris is awesome second when hes not there lousy service bought a living room set for 2 grand im a disabled vet and this is alot of money to me first they deliver my stuff 1 lamp short and dont tell me and have no eta on its arrival but both lamps were in the store yesterday. then the t. v stand has no instructions and i am waiting on that this is horrible not cool for 2 grand… joe p. took care of all the issues thank you for your expedited care

Save yourself the headache and your hard earned money someplace else!!! This store has horrible customer service and does not stand behind their product. We bought a sectional for $ 2,800 +tax. All of the pieces were not the same height. I called, we had to wait a week for someone to come out to look at it after I’d emailed pics which I am posting here. Then we had to wait another week for the replacement piece which still was not the same level.
I didn’t want to let the delivery guys leave but Yasenia said they would give us $ 500 back if we just kept it we said ok.
The next day the salesman calls and says they won’t give us $ 500 they will only give $ 200. We said no we wanted to return it because for $ 2,800 we want it to be perfect. They then told us we would have to pay a 10% restocking fee white was crazy! Why would I have to pay to return something that is defective???
No integrity, liars, a rip off, bad quality, poor customer service.
SAVE YOURSELF & YOUR MONEY DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! RUN!!! Do now wast your money!!!
This update is in reply to the stores statement below. No I did not ASK for $ 500 I asked for a replacement or my money back, Yacenia asked what would be fair for us to keep it… I then said $ 500, you said $ 200, I wanted to return it for a full refund then you all backed us in a corner by saying We wouldn’t get all our $ back you would charge a 10% restocking fee which wasn’t fair or even reasonable when the sectional was in perfect condition in your store, you even lied in your response, no one would spend over $ 2,800 for something that isn’t perfect, you all are liars, have no integrity, selling bullshit and giving people a hard time when they want to return the crap. I’ve read your other reviews. You deserve to be blasted you’re crooks! You should have given us our money back that was the right & honest thing to do!

We used to like Naders, in fact, we directed everyone we knew in need of furniture their way. We’ve actually bought 2 complete living room sets, 2 Queen-​size beds, from the frame to the memory foam, as well as a full kitchen set. Nothing really bad to say about all of the items, except the kitchen set, you know, the one with a full wrap-​around bench.
Well, we scrambled to get it so that we could have something to eat Christmas dinner on. See, until December 1^st, we had been homeless due to our apartment being a sick building along with 16 strains of mold. We lost everything we owned… everything.
We had our lovely Christmas dinner just as planned! My husband and I are gone a lot (3 – 4 times a week) for doctors appointments. So, to make a long story short… we finally had a few neighbors over it literally collapsed! The entire «wood» underneath cracked and fell to the floor. Even the side that my 105lbs neighbor sat on.
Since then, since there are only two of us at home, we only used the chairs… until they started to wobble and eventually collapsed. We have on chair left, but you have to tighten it each time before you sit on it.
We called, thinking we were going to get the same service, but oh how we were wrong! We were told everything from «we didn’t put it together correctly to it was a $ 400 set, so what did you expect?
All we wanted was a store credit so that we could add some money to it and just get something made of more than dry-​rotted furniture put together completely with an Allen wrench.
And I’m pretty sure you know the results. I’m federally disabled, a Veteran, and walk with a cane. They wanted to give us a couple hundred bucks, and we have to drive it to Gardena from Long Beach.
After fighting with a terrible management team, I’m stuck with the set. We are both disabled… we can’t make it happen as well as their embarrassing credit offer.
So, thanks for losing out on a loyal customer. And, I’m quite sure we aren’t the first…

Great selection, service and prices. Have been shopping at Nader’s for years and was so happy when the Long Beach location opened up. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family! Check our their Facebook page, they often list their specials there.

I went to Naders to look at sofas for my new apartment. I’m the type that likes to just look around and if I have questions I’ll ask. If you greet me at the door that’s usually sufficient. I had my 17 year old daughter with me and we were looking and talking amongst ourselves. A female associate proceeded to somewhat follow us in the store and felt the need to make comments about every sofa we looked at. I don’t like to flat out tell people I’m just looking and to not bother me but I feel you should pick up on my cues and know when to stop. Then a male associate started chiming in. They do have the prices clearly posted as well as color swatches so if you can read, which I can, I know all I need to know if I’m just browsing. But this male associate wanted to tell me all of this info for each sofa I glanced at. Sadly, the service was so overbearing that we left. There were some nice pieces I would have considered but I hated the high pressure. My advice to Naders is calm it down a bit. I won’t go back…

I bought a couch at the Signal Hill store that cost almost $ 1,000. It began to discolor after within one year which was very disappointing. My last couch lasted 10+ years. Over the past 3 months I have been trying to get the store to resolve the issue. A lot of run around and BS blaming the manufacturer. They will not guarantee their product so stay away if you value your spending dollars.

After spending countless hours scouring local furniture stores from Cerritos to West LA and even craigslist, we decided, on whim, to try out Nader’s. I was pleasantly surprised by the modest selection and the more than reasonable prices. Shannon was extremely knowledgable and helpful during our quest for a new sectional. She didn’t follow us around or watch us like a hawk, but when we needed her, she was there! We had such a great experience that we ultimately ended up sealing the deal and buying our sofa. They were even able to deliver the next afternoon (since we paid for it the following morning)! I feel like we got the best deal possible, and I love our new sofa. Nader’s will definitely be our first choice in furniture from now on!

Excellent customer service. We walked in and were immediately helped by a young lady who was very knowledgable and very helpful. We came on a Sunday and the warehouse was closed but they offered to break their rules and let us take the floor model. I would definitely recommend Naders for any of your furniture needs.

Nader’s Furniture Store is the all American original mom and pop store that built our country. They believe in good old fashion service and quality product. I had the pleasure of meeting the entire family at their Grand Opening Ceremony. I purchased a fabulous kitchen table with a lazy susan and 6 chairs. The price was fantastic, the table real wood, and chairs wood and leather. Clean in design. Nick Nader was impeccable in service. I appreciated his attentiveness and patience in showing a wide variety of stock to choose from. I recommended two more of my friends who also made purchases from Nick and loved him.
It was nice to know who started the company his father and uncles, and to meet the rest of his family the brother, and sister. If you are in need of any furniture and or home accessories I highly recommend any of there stores. I’ve been looking unsuccesfully for a sofa for many months, many stores. Stopped in Nadars just on a whim and ended finding THREE designs that I loved — and good prices. After settling on which one, i made the purchase of a sofa and love seat. Day before delivery I wanted to swap out the love seat for another chair I saw there. I called the store. I was initially very worried they would give me a song and dance…) but they were super friendly, made the change on the phone, and the truck arrived next day. No drama. :D Ps /​the truck was on time and the delivery guys were super neat/​clean and professional. Top rated business in my book !

Have you ever fallen in love with a couch to the point that you go into the store several times in hopes of one day owning it?
Well this happened to me… I fell in love with a couch at Nader’s and I waited patiently for the day to come that I can finally purchase this beloved couch. Unfortunately, Nader’s did not have this same adoring affection for me.
I called to confirm the price, I asked to speak to the associate who previously assisted me. You can find her below in one of the bogus reviews, her name is Shannon B (shame on you for the bogus review, btw). The representative at Nader’s told me that Shannon B was on break and I could call back in an hour or so. Since I only needed the price and the representative was on site (about 15 feet away from the couch), I thought my inquiry would be of no issue.
Boy, was i wrong. «Sir, I’m not going to do that since I’m not a sales person.» I said, fine, I will go somewhere else and she said «OK» and hung up.
I would think… in a small business environment, EVERYONE pulls together to assist a sale.

Recently my Wife and I went into Nader’s looking to buy a new bedroom set; we’d gone to other places without really being impressed so we’re glad we stopped by. They have a wide selection of bedroom and dining room sets so there’s lot to choose from. Shannon who is one of the Sales Representatives made it soo much fun, she took the time to help us choose exactly what we needed. For someone soo young she knows A Lot about the furniture she’s selling, She’s great and Super Funny. So, go and check it out, ask for Shannon and you’ll feel like you’ve made the best decision in whatever you buy. enl

I purchased a table here for a great price and they also had a Unilocal deal so I saved even more money. The employees are friendly and helpful, except for one of the ladies who worked behind the window had a slight attitude.
