History
Established in 2007.
designer + printer + photographer paul r. rivera is a well-balanced creative, pulling his inspiration from his passion for music. paul carries an organic sense, substance, and aesthetic in his designs and his photography. the bottom line is he likes things to be authentic and natural as possible. While working for «the man» he got to a point where it didn’t make sense to work full time for someone when his part-time gig of freelance design was out working and out paying his day job. Paul didn’t choose Paulifornia. Paulifornia chose him.

Starting off at Kinko’s in 98′ and renting a room from some random dude in Costa Mesa’s (most likely) crappiest house. Was just the start. Paulifornia has been an uphill battle but also the most rewarding thing in my life.
Having no car I was forced to skateboard a few miles a day to work and while there learned everything possible about the industry. I saved up until I had enough money to buy a crappy computer and a trial cd of photoshop. I was able to jerry rig my computers date to make the computer think i could still use the 30-day trial cd. Since then I’ve continued to work very hard and spend tons of hours, weeks and months learning this trade. I’m proudly self taught. I’ve spent my time, energy and finances learning really how to understand these fields (graphic design, printing and photography), because they really do relate to each other. Now that it’s 2013 I’ve learned what it takes to run a functioning advanced Creative Company that I can proudly say is successful.
