I use acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to support you in recovering your optimal health, to restore your natural balance, and to tap into your body’s innate ability to heal. Your symptoms are your teachers, your body’s way of telling you that it is time to tend to yourself. My job is to listen, to evaluate, and to resolve the underlying imbalances that are behind your symptoms. It would be my honor to assist you to come to life more fully, and bring your best self to the world. Together, we will craft a lifestyle that will remove obstacles to your wellness, engender healing and allow you to realize your greatest potential in your health and in your life.

History

Established in 2007.

My interest in Chinese medicine began while studying Tai Chi and Kung Fu at the Hung Tao Choy Mei Academy in Washington, DC. I received my Master of Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts, now called Maryland University of Integrative Health, the oldest accredited acupuncture program in the United States. I continued my study of Chinese medicine at Tai Sophia where I completed an accredited program in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Currently I am adjunct faculty at MUIH where I supervise student practitioners. I am licensed by the Maryland State Board of Acupuncture and practice at The Spectrum Center for Natural Medicine in downtown Silver Spring.

Business Owner

I was born and raised right here in Silver Spring, MD. I went to high school at Our Lady of Good Counsel and received a swimming scholarship to Indiana University, where I graduated with degrees in English and Economics. After a few years in accounting and finance, I made the switch to Chinese Medicine and I have never looked back. Every day I am humbled and honored to carry forth the tradition of this ancient medicine. I am grateful to the many wonderful mentors and teachers who have helped me develop my skill as a competent and compassionate healer. I hope my patients and students will be inspired, as I am every day, by the powerful practice of Chinese medicine.
