Local Brews & Local Grooves was a solid event. I had a lot of fun.
The bands were all cover bands, and they were amazing. Really, really good. I wish I could post a video on here to show you how awesome they were. Plus, the Fillmore is an amazing venue whether you’re on the floor or in the mezzanine.
Natty Bo’s and Utz’s mascots came out, jumped around, posed for pictures. DJs were great, super funny, played games with the crowd. Super fun group of people at this event, dancing up front by the stage. Lines weren’t too long at all.
This place was pretty packed at 7 when I got there (not packed enough to make people wait outside in a line though, come on guys). Not sure if the brewers didn’t plan for the number of people who attended or if they were just trying to drive up demand of their product, but lots of the booths ran out of beer pretty early. Otherwise, perfect night. Thanks, Unilocal,for a great night out in Silver Spring!
