Saw this in 2011. Cool thing to watch or do around Halloween. Quite entertaining though not overly amazing. I still would recommend checking it out if you’re free and looking to go out.

This is a free annual event about 1 week before Halloween on a Saturday night. My 6 year old daughter(she’s a brave one) and I went this year(2011), and we had a great time. The evening started with costuming. We ripped old clothes, made fake blood(corn syrup, water, flour, food coloring and cocao), splashed mud and fake blood all over each other(including dunking our hair in mud and vegetable oil), added dried leaves and twigs, and did our makeup before heading over to the parade at around 8:15. Starting time was 8:45 or so, and we enjoyed the walk from the parking garage to Jackie’s(the starting point) almost as much as the parade. It was lots of fun zombie-spotting along the way. The area outside of Jackies was a photo-taking paradise of costumes, and my daughter was happy to see a fair number of other kids dressed up. My daughter’s big complaint was that not many people ACTED like zombies — they were talking in their regular voices, and so she felt self-conscious about acting like a zombie. Didn’t stop me, though. I embarassed her thoroughly by growling«BRAINS!» at everyone I saw. She also remarked that too many zombies were too clean — they just did facepaint, no mud or fake blood. My daughter takes her zombifying seriously! The«parade» stayed on the sidewalk the whole time, and there were plenty of entertaining acts in the crowd. Very fun people watching! Best places to watch: Pacci’s patio or Ellsworth Drive, which is closed down for the parade and features spooky music and a fog machine.
