Thanks to Lenore of Fetch! My husband and I can vacay without worrying.
She takes great care of the kitty and even sends pics. We have an auto feeder and waterer for her but she needs a visit and play time while we are gone.
I highly recommend this service for homebound pets with owners who are not! Very reasonable in price and excellent quality. Thanks Fetch!

Fetch and all of the wonderful people that work there are great!!! They are life savers and treat each and every four legged fur baby as if they were their own, specifically, Traci. Traci has time and time again saved my tail when stuck by coming and walking my very particular English Bulldog.

I have been a Fetch customer for several years now. My dog walker, Ester, is simply awesome and I cannot say enough good things about her. Last September, I adopted a toy spaniel mix with a history of abuse and neglect. Zoe was terrified of everything and shook like a leaf when she was brought outdoors. Ester was so gentle, kind, and patient with her! She scooped Zoe up and carried her outside each day until Zoe began to enjoy her walks. Ester even took the stairs (5 floors) a few times (despite a hurt ankle) because our building’s elevator was broken. Zoe has blossomed into a calm, friendly, happy dog with Ester’s support. Ester is also fantastic with our cats. Fetch is very easy to schedule and reasonably priced for walks and visits.

I have been a Fetch customer for a few months now and it has been a really positive experience. I have a cat and as a frequent traveller, it’s such a relief to know that she is well taken care of while I’m out of town. The process to set everything up is pretty easy. After contacting the Fetch offices they assign someone to your home. I was assigned Mr. Bill. A sweet and gentle retired gentleman. During the introductory meeting, he came by my house to get a set of keys for my condo and discuss my pet care needs. Mr. Bill is fantastic! He writes me detailed notes during every visit and sends me text updates to let me know how Daisy is doing. Although this is my only experience with pet care service, the prices seem reasonable and in line with other companies that offer the same services. I also really like the fact that I can request service online and that payment is made at the end of the month and not after every visit. If you’re in need of pet care services, Fetch is definitely the way to go.

We’ve now been using them for several months for regular walks each week for our 2 pups. We really value and trust our walker, India! She is wonderful and patient with our boys. Fetch overall is great to work with. Very easy scheduling and great communication.

I got a dog walker to see how my dog would do for when I start taking evening classes but I don’t think I will get one from here again.
The dog walker, while it was a nice thought, tried to clean up my dogs mess when he had a stomach problem. He didn’t quite mention that on the note or what he used to clean it. So I threw my dish washing sponge away just incase because it did look suspicious.
Also, he put a doggie bag in the kitchen trashcan when he could have just threw it away in the dog park or doggie stations outside. Kind of gross so I cancelled my service. They never asked why or anything.

Fetch! and Caitin took care of my older cat for 2 weeks. He was always independent, but getting more and more anxious about being alone as he got older, and at his age of 19+ this was the first time I looked for a sitter. I asked Fetch lots of questions and took lots of time but the staff was always patient and informative and pleasant.
I loved the updates and the closing note from Caitin.
I didn’t need the full service visit, since my cat didn’t need walking and had an automatic feeder and waterer, so on that score it was al little pricey just for the TLC visit (but I understand that home visits require a minimum investment of time, etc). But they were professional and trustworthy and loved my cat. I recommend Fetch! highly!

We used Fetch for the first time over Christmas break for about a week and a half. Our low maintenance cat, Potato, was taken such good care of by Rachel. Rachel was fantastic! The free consultation was great as it gave us a chance to meet one another and to show Rachel around the apartment.
Rachel came over every other day (the minimum visits required by Fetch). She made sure the food and water was refreshed, her litter boxes well cleaned out, brought in our mail and watered our plants. Potato hates all humans, so Rachel couldn’t get her 30 minutes of playtime in. Instead, Rachel helped tidy up the place and vacuumed the loose litter around the boxes. That was so appreciated, especially after coming back from a trip.
I will definitely use Fetch again the next time I am out of town. It was well worth the price ($ 20 a visit) to have peace of mind while we were gone.

We have been using Fetch for two years now and could not be happier. My wife and I both work long hours and tend to have unpredictable schedules. Fetch always finds a way to make it work. Adding new sessions could not be easier, and in those rare situations when our usual sitter can’t make it, Fetch always makes sure that we get to meet and consult with any new sitter before they work with our dogs.

I have been using Fetch since they opened. My dog is difficult — but they have always handled him well. They show him love and take great care of him. Highly recommended.

I have been using Fetch’s dog walking services for over a year now and have nothing but great things to say about them. They always respond within a few hours, if not immediately, to my requests.
My dog walker, Valerie, is amazing. She walks my baby Dakota usually twice per week. She leaves me detailed notes every visit. She has even gone out of her way to send me a picture of my baby when I was out of town and he was sick b/​c she knew I was worried about him. Although I have never used an alternate sitter, Fetch always offers one if Valerie isn’t available on the day/​time that I request.
I like that all the payments are automated by credit card so i just get charged at the end of the month and don’t really have to think about it. I also like how they send me updated billing information any time I make a change to the schedule so I am never surprised about my bill at the end of the month.
The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because they are a little pricey and they charge me more for living in the 20 852 zip code than the 20 850 zip code, which I thought was kind of annoying. But obviously it’s worth the price to deal with trustworthy, honest, reliable and professional service. Nothing but the best for my pup!

We’ve been using Fetch for our dog Roscoe since ⁷⁄₂₀₁₁. This is the best decision I’ve ever made.
Their walkers (we’ve had 3) are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The company is amazing, and the customer service is outstanding. In the time using them I’ve never once had a problem.
We started using them when we got our first dog, about a month into using their service I was in a car accident on my way home from work. Our dog was 6 months old at the time and it was not a «dog walker day» I was so panicked that I texted our walker, and told her what happened. Without missing a beat she came to make sure our dog was OK. After that I called my husband to tell him what happened (priorities right?).
That experience sealed my opinion of Fetch and their employees. They treat you and your pets like family.

Fetch is awesome! We’ve had multiple dog walkers for my VERY energetic lab mix and none of them worked out because they couldn’t control him or had limited hours. Fetch is great because they offer walks anytime of the day (not like most local companies which only do mid-​day walks – which we don’t need!). Prices are OK, definitely a little on the high end, but in my opinion it’s worth it. They’re always very responsive – when I send an email, I get a reply that they’re checking with my dog walker almost immediately. Our dog walker is Ester, she is AMAZING and always has such nice things to say. She really goes above and beyond – not just walking and feeding my dog, but she washes out his bowls, leaves a light on for him, etc. It’s the little things that make this company better. We’ve never used them for sitting, just because the price is very high and we have an excellent dog sitter that we use.
Also a nice perk is that you can use a credit card and don’t have to leave a cash/​check for the dog walker — it’s all done at the end of the month automatically. So convenient!

I’m surprised to see only 3 reviews here, because this is one of the best businesses I’ve encountered in a long time. We had used a few different dog walking companies before we found Fetch a few years ago. I won’t go into some of the dramas we experienced with other companies, but suffice it to say that none of them would ever receive a good review from me. With Fetch, it’s always just good, reliable service and my dogs love their walkers. We have an assigned walker, and in the very rare occasion that she is unavailable, Fetch arranges for us to meet the substitute walker ahead of time so we know who will be in our house and caring for our dogs. Any time we’ve had minor bumps in the road (for example, when a walker was arriving a little on the late side), the owner quickly and professionally resolved it (in this example, by adjusting the walker’s schedule so she could arrive within the time frame we were comfortable with). It might seem like a no-​brainer, but that was the type of thing other companies never seemed willing or able to address.
I wish more businesses were like Fetch!

I’ll admit it, I was extremely nervous about Fetch and the concept of home dog walks/​visits while I was on vacation vs. traditional boarding. In other places I’ve lived, there are numerous, quality dog boarding options but the culture seems to be different in DC — instead favoring dog walking/​house sitting services. An owner of the kennel in the area told me recently that this is because the zoning laws in the area are very strict and it can take 1+ year to get a license to open a boarding facility. Well, when in Rome…
I was going on a last minute vacation. Ok not really, I was about to lie. I knew about the vacation but I waited until the last minute to make arrangements for my babies assuming that there would be tons of boarding options. Boy was I wrong. Once I decided that boarding would not be a great option because the lack of options I set about the task of finding a good pet care service.
Fetch came highly recommended from fellow Montgomery Country-​ers. This was not enough for me or my sweet monsters because my plan was to arrange as many home visits as I possibly could and choose the one who I trusted the most. After hours of phone calls and emails, the only service that answered me and was able to make arrangements for a home visit immediately was Fetch.
I was impressed with their efficient follow up and ability to accommodate my poor planning and they sent over an excellent dog walker who I got to know during the complimentary home visit and felt instantly comfortable with. During the home visit, their staff gets to know your pups, what you want, and the general routine. They’ll even water your plants and bring mail in.
I took off a star because the text updates decreased as I used them more often and my dog urinated in the kitchen, which I can understand happens, but I was not notified and had to find the dirty paper towels used to clean it up and then follow up. I think messes in the house should be mentioned to the owner — especially since my dogs generally have a bladder of steel. I would like the same type of consistency I had with the first service period.
At $ ¹⁹⁄₃₀ minute visit and only $ 5/​second dog, this is a steal. They require 3 visits per a day, but are able to accommodate partial days on the days you’re leaving/​coming home depending on the flight arrangements. I was thrilled with the text message updates and journal of events that our walker left. Since then, I have used Fetch several more times. I like that we have had the same dog walker since we started using the company and that they get back to me immediately whenever I request a service via email. They charge your credit card at the end of the month for your services.
If you’re like me and your pups are your children, feel safe entrusting them with Fetch.

I used Fetch! services for 13 months and couldn’t be happier with the quality of service my pet and I have received. The dog walkers we’ve had have all been fantastic, communicative, approachable, flexible, and enjoyable to write back and forth with every day. I had never needed or used a dog walking service until I moved to SS and the peace of mind that Fetch provided me was priceless. Whether it was a normal work day or I was traveling for work, Fetch was always able to accommodate the needs of my schedule and truly enjoyed providing service to my pet. Logistically, requesting/​modifying services is simple via email or phone and they are great about updating your service schedule/​bill very quickly. If anything ever came up while a Fetch sitter was walking my dog (i.e., dog being too possessive over a toy and preventing a walk, smoke alarm beeping, etc.) the sitters were proactive and called me right away to problem solve. The owner Jamie was also fantastic and communicative; I felt completely comfortable putting my dog’s care in Jamie and her sitter’s care. I highly recommend Fetch of SS!!!

Wow! I, like the other reviewer, had never used a dog walker until my move to Silver Spring this past summer. One thing I’ve noticed in the area is the lack of boarding facilities. At first, I was a little wary of letting someone in my house to walk the dog. But with Fetch, you have nothing to worry about.
Every dog walker and dog boarder we’ve used has been amazing and loves dogs. The highlights:
–Scheduling service with Fetch is really, really easy. There’s an online form and you can also email the staff directly. Often I email a service request and get a reply within hours, even on the weekend.
–Each person who has cared for our dog has tons of experience and seems to love animals. I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a walker come by and get home and the dog is so happy, he’s napping the rest of the day. I also like that you can meet each walker/​boarder in person for an «orientation» before you use a new person to walk or board the dog.
–The prices are really fair and all listed on the Fetch website. Whenever you add a service or change a request, Fetch sends you an updated invoice so you know exactly how much you are going to spend.
–For people who don’t have cars (myself included), Fetch also offers a «pet taxi» which is cheaper than a regular taxi and a great option if you’re boarding your dog because the sitter can pick them up and drop them off.
–MY FAVORITE: The updates. Even if the walker comes by just for a midday walk, they will leave a note telling you what they did with your dog. When I boarded my pup this past Thanksgiving, I got email updates and even an music file of my dog’s funny snorts and whistles (I have a pug).
Overall, amazing services that I would highly recommend. I never worry about my dog when he’s being taken care of by Fetch.

I never considered a pet service until a job change made it necessary … now I wonder what I ever did without one! I’m in my 10^th month using FETCH and could not be happier with them. They are always there — even last minute — when I need them, whether for afternoon walks, dinnertime or even overnights when I travel for business. FETCH is really good about making sure I’m comfortable about any sitter before sending them (like if a sub is needed). I have an assigned sitter but if she’s unavailable (rare!), there’s always coverage … so I’m absolutely certain I can get support as my crazy schedule shifts. Most importantly my dogs LOVE the sitters — they are like part of our family.
