HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I would give 10 stars if I could!!! I bought a vintage table on Chairish at a bargain, and I thought I would run to D.C. and just throw it in the back of my Jeep. Well, the seller told me it was very heavy and I would need two people to carry it. I found an ad for a guy with a truck and he gave me a reasonable price, but the seller and I could not coordinate our schedules due to travel. Two weeks later when we did connect, the I couldn’t reach the guy with the truck. That was a stroke of luck for me. I checked Unilocal and got several quotes for a small move from D.C. to Rockville. Some didn’t make moves that small and others cost more than the table. Charles gave me a very reasonable quote and was able to accommodate a weekend move between other jobs in his schedule. The seller and I both had travel plans, and a short window to make the move or wait another 2 weeks. Charles managed to coordinate the move within an hour on a Saturday morning. When Charles delivered the table to my condo, it was wrapped in mover’s blankets, and he and another gentleman used a dolly to bring it in. The table was iron and granite, and I never would have been able to do this by myself or with help. The other guy I was going to hire was going to throw it on the back of his pickup. Wow, everything happens for a reason. Charles took care of this table, and the quality of his work was impeccable. I will call him every time from now on.

I sold a sofa on craigslist and the buyer called Get It Done to pick up and deliver his purchase. It was a large couch and an awkward hall/​staircase combo. They took great care with the sofa and listened to my suggestions on the most effective way to get it out (it was a bit of a struggle to get it in when I first bought it). I would definitely use them for any move that I personally have.

I was introduced to Charles (Get It Done Moving) via a craigslist sale I was making — the person buying a large cabinet piece brought Charles with him to help move. The purchaser explained he met Charles through a CL posting as well. We exchanged our concerns about CL postings.
Charles was very pleasant and helpful. I ended up contacting him to help me move from a house to an apartment just a few weeks later. He showed up with a friend who quickly got my stuff loaded and moved! He was communicative through out, and fairly priced!

I was searching for someone to move my HHG one-​way from storage in Maryland to Atlanta, GA area for a reasonable price and I was already in Atlanta so the coordination was all done remote with Charles, the owner. He was awesome and reassured me through the process that all was okay. I sent him my keys and access to storage. He ensured the storage room was cleaned up and kept me abreast of his progress and travels to Atlanta. He arrived on time and he and his team unloaded the truck with out any problem. He was very accommodating and kind. All of my HHGs arrived unharmed. He wrapped up fragile items and took good care. I would definitely recommend Charles. Very trustworthy and gracious.

Charles helped me move furniture at the last minute on a Sunday. He could not have been more pleasant and thoughtful. His prices were excellent and he did a great job. I will definitely hire him again and recommend him to my friends.

I used Charles tonight to pick up some chairs I bought on craigslist. I emailed two people on craigslist and he was less expensive. He was available right then. Charles was extremely flexible about timing as the seller and I took a while to work out the details. The seller have us some extra chairs that we initially didn’t want. Charles offered to haul them away if we needed him to. He was very quick, professional and a nice guy. We will definitely use him again.

I caught this sleazebag illegally dumped mattresses and other debris on my property. The owner is an extremely unethical drain on society. Do yourself a favor and don’t hire this a$$hole.

I recently found a gorgeous armoire on craigslist, and after one look at it in person, I realized I would not be able to simply throw it on top of my SUV and drive it to my house as I had planned. This thing was HUGE (83“x54“X22″) and very heavy.
I called Charles and told him about my massive armoire and he quoted me $ 150 flat-​rate to move it from SE DC to my house in NW DC, and was able to come out to help me out the next morning. He and his associate arrived early with a pickup truck, a couple dollies, moving blankets, and shrink wrap. They moved the piece out of the previous owner’s house and into mine in no time.
Charles and his associate were extremely polite and maintained an excellent attitude while moving my huge and heavy piece of furniture. They were creative and tenacious when dealing with my low ceiling in the staircase and a narrow landing at the top of the stairs.
Overall, I am thoroughly impressed by Get it Done Moving and highly recommend their services.

Excellent service. Called Easter Sunday morning for pick up of debris and he arrived that afternoon on time. Amazed that he offered to come out on a holiday and get it done. Much cheaper than getting a dumpster.

Charles of Get It Done really lives up to his name. I needed to move a small storage unit in VA to NYC in a matter of days. I did the whole Craigslist bit only to be inundated by ridiculous prices and flakey movers who didn’t seem to care much about my move or items. Finally I stumbled onto Charles and not only did he come with great recommendations all the way from GA but he diligently called me and was available for when I needed to call him. Whats more: I had a NYC apartment issue where I couldn’t move my items in the day we scheduled. I called Charles to let him know the unfortunate situation. He was still able to accommodate my move and my items were safe and sound when he arrived the next day. Easily the easiest move I’ve ever had to coordinate — even with the delays. Great price and timely service? Call Charles and he’ll Get It Done.

I am a huge fan of Charles and Get It Done movers. I totally screwed up my previous move and called Charles from my work number and then texted him my address to the wrong number. The next morning, I waited and waited, only to realize my error. Charles had been diligently trying to reach me at my office number and when I finally realized what I had done and called him again, he was still able to fit in my move without much delay. Once he and his team arrived, they were extremely nice and professional – just really great guys. They worked their butts off and the move was much bigger and more difficult than I had realized. I don’t know where they get their strength and energy! We are really picky about our stuff and they took great pains to handle everything with care. Now I am using them again tomorrow for a small project and Charles remembered me, remembered where I live and was as professional and courteous as I had recalled. Oh, and the price is right, too. My advice is to look no further than Charles and Get It Done Moving.

I needed 2 large pieces of furniture moved the next day from Alexandria, VA to Gaithersburg, MD. Charles was responsive and professional. Although they ran a little late on the pick-​up, I really appreciated his communication with both me and the party awaiting his arrival. They were considerate and careful with my belongings. I would certainly use them again and recommend them to friends. The price was reasonable.
