I really like this salon. I love the selection of Aveda products. The facials from Christina are great. It has been my way to relax as mom when I just need time for myself. And it is fun to get gift certificates at Christmas and indulge myself with some pampering at the beginning of the year.

After moving to the Kitsap peninsula from King county and leaving behind my old Aveda salon I found Seaport and have been very pleased with my services. I have had full color and conditioning treatment with Ranita, and I’ve had a few gel manicures. I love the Aveda products and I really love the little extra pampering that is part and parcel with the services. I’m scheduled for a cut and color soon and I’m certain I’ll love my cut. I am hoping to be able to treat myself to a massage or facial in the new year so I don’t have an opinion on those services yet. If you are looking for a very good salon on the peninsula then definitely give Seaport a try. There’s less expensive places out there but it’s worth a little extra for great service.

A really great, Aveda salon. Everything is very well organized and clean. I was greeted and checked in promptly. Refreshing orange water and trail mix provided as you wait. There is a very good selection of Aveda products to browse as you wait. I wasn’t there long before my stylist, Meg, came up to take me back. She was very nice and attentive. Listened to what I wanted and did an okay job of doing that. The actual cut was good but I asked for no bang. Somehow I left with an annoying bang that I’m still growing out. Sigh. Even with that being said, I’d still schedule with her again but maybe be very firm on what I do NOT want.
When you schedule just a cut be aware that you are getting just that. You have to pay an additional fee for your hair to be styled afterwards which I thought was a little peculiar. It really took away from that «feeling like a million bucks» as you walk out effect. But next time I guess I’ll just pay extra for it.
You can «request an appointment» online through their website but it’s not an actual appointment calendar where you can see who is available on what days at which times.
Nail services– since my initial review, I have received a mani– pedi and a gel mani. I called same day for one appt and the receptionist got me in a few hours later but they only had time for the most basic manicure and most basic pedicure. This seemed fine so I took it. Both times the services were so very gentle. Which is lovely and almost unheard of nowadays. However, the finished product both times was a little disappointing considering the price tag. The paint was uneven and my regular polish Mani chipped within days. I’m not even at day 5 and they look horrible. The pedi didn’t include scrubbing the feet with a pumice stone (an extra add on from what I was told.) can you really call it a pedi if you aren’t even getting a pumice scrub? Sigh. For the most basic mani and most basic pedi (no pumice scrub) I paid $ 70. The gel mani lasted much longer but I wasn’t overly impressed with it either.

I’m in the same boat as the person that posted a negative review about a prenatal massage recently. I have been going to Seaport for about 2 years now, so I’m going to leave one review for all of my experiences, but this is the very last chance they got. I will never return to this place again. Here’s my review for their pedicures, hair stylists and massages…
HAIR: First of all, I used to get my hair done here, as I moved from Seattle and places to get your hair done in Kitsap county are limited. I asked my stylist if she knew what a balayage is. She confidently said she did. I explained to her what I’d like done. She completely fried my hair to the point pieces broke off and to top it off, she had no clue what a balayage was, as she bleached the entire bottom half of my hair. It looked awful and I was embarrassed to go outside with it. I reached out to the owner to get my money back, as I immediately needed to fix my hair, but there was no way I was letting them fix it. She asked me to send photos and gave me a portion of my money back. Lesson learned, as I never returned there for my hair.
PEDICURE: I booked a pedicure, which was generally speaking okay. They put you in a tiny room with the door shut (the room is literally about 6 feet long), so as you can imagine, it’s very uncomfortable to breathe. I had to keep asking the lady to open the door, as I was getting light headed. The rest of the experience (when she finally left the door open) was pleasant. However, at the very end she told me I couldn’t wait to let the polish dry, as she had to leave and they’re closing. Of course, it was super wet so I scuffed it getting into my car. Why book an appointment where you can’t even let your client wait 5 minutes to let the polish dry? I gave up on pedicures. Apollo Nail Salon down the street is half the price and twice as better.
MASSAGE: Okay, here is where I gave up on this place. I’ve been going to Angela, but I think everyone has figured out Angela is the only good masseuse there, so she’s become increasingly busy and it’s hard to get in with her. The last time I got a massage was my first prenatal massage (unfortunately, I took their word for scheduling me with someone other than Angela and said this woman was really «great»). The masseuse moved the chair around (like the last reviewer mentioned) non-​stop. She breathed very heavily and frequently stopped in the middle of the massage for several minutes. At one point, I had to look up to make sure she was okay. She said «oh, sorry» as if she had forgotten she was supposed to be giving a massage and was taking a break. What do I do? Two months later, I give then yet another chance. When I called to make the appointment they told me Angela wasn’t free, but there was someone else that was just as great and I’d just «love» her. Well, I told them to make sure it wasn’t the same person I saw last time and they looked in the file and it was indeed the person I saw last time. That should have been a warning sign, but I was desperate since my back was killing me. Then they scheduled me with someone else and I had to ask over the phone if it was a male. Not a big deal, but the fact that they didn’t offer that information and I had to ask is unprofessional (see review below from other reviewer). I can’t speak for his massage techniques, but when I got up to the room, there wasn’t even a pillow. He told me I could use the face crate to lay my head in. For pregnancy massages, you have to lay on your side and the face crate is already lower than the table, so he was asking me to lay my head a good 4 inches lower than my neck (and on it’s side)! Really? Does that seem okay to you as a masseuse? I tried just for the heck of it and it hurt pretty bad. Then he proceeds to tell me that they don’t have any pillows, so they put sheets in a pillow case to go between my legs. LOL! I walked out and told the receptionist to cancel my appointment. Of course, she is very nice, but I would never go back here again. I asked for the owner to call me, as I took time off work for this appointment and I drove all the way from Bainbridge. I doubt I will get a call. Just beware that when they say «oh this person is fantastic». I’d highly recommend going elsewhere and save your money. This is the worst place I’ve ever gone to and I only gave them chance after chance out of pure desperation.

I was so impressed with this salon! My stylist was amazing. I just feel horrible I didn’t catch her name. I believe it was Candy? I could be wrong. She’s got a great, positive personality and is very skillful. I will definitely be returning! The staff was so accommodating, and they were quite reasonable.

Well, I feel like a dick because the other reviews for this place were so great (which is also the reason why I went here in the first place). I… did not have as great an experience as the other Unilocalers.
I booked a prenatal massage. I am six months pregnant and am really feeling the strain on my body. My first prenatal massage was when I was four months pregnant at a different location and that experience was wonderful. So, points for a very friendly cashier/​receptionist. They were very prompt in bringing me paperwork to fill out and bringing me up into the massage room. They did not, however, tell me that the person would be male and I felt that there were two opportunities for this information to be brought up; either over the phone when I was initially booking, or when I had first arrived and checked in at the front desk. It was a little surprising, but not that big of a deal for me.
The massage experience itself was lackluster. First, I had been expecting the fancy prenatal pillows with the cutouts for the breasts and stomach so I would be able to lay facedown. This place did not have that, but bully on me for not specifying or asking about it when booking the appointment. Second, the pillows they did provide for me to place between my knees and under my head did not have pillow cases or any sort of cloth; my face was riddled with lines from the plastic liner… unhappy mommy… Third, the guy that was massaging me just felt clumsy. He constantly moved the little stool with wheels around for what seemed like no reason and, worst of all, he kept using one hand to scratch either his facial hair or his hair and then it felt like he wiped it on the sheet I was laying on and then resumed massaging me with the hand he just scratched himself with! Also, the lights in the room stayed on the whole time so instead of a relaxing spa experience, it just felt clinical. Like I was waiting for the OB to come look at me…
When checking out, the same woman that greeted me was again, very courteous and noticed that I was paying with a Navy Federal credit card and asked me if I was military (yay for military discount!).
I would probably come back for other services, but never again will I book a massage through this company.

5 stars for wonderful service! The whole atmosphere is inviting and friendly. I LOVE Aveda products and so happy to find them here! I moved to Bremerton 6 months ago and was in search for the perfect Salon & Spa and I definitely found it in Seaport Salon & Spa. I’ve had a facial done with Cristina– it was so relaxing and she was very helpful with my skin in offering tips and products for me. I had my hair cut with Renita– she is amazing! Fun to talk to, positive personality, and she’s very talented!

I LOVE this place. The service is friendly and staff remember you. I am always pleased with my hair cut from Renita. I have thick, curly hair and she does a great job of making it comfortable and look amazing! The products are the best and I just don’t have enough nice things to say about this salon.

Tonight, I had a Brazilian wax done by April. I’ve had them done before by others, and the previous discomfort has varied between moderate to almost severe. I’m not sure what all she did different, but there was minimal discomfort in comparison to my other experiences. For as much as this service can be an enjoyable experience, it was.

Lovely place in Old Town Silverdale, right down the street from the waterfront park. I had waited a bit too long to get my hair cut again after having a bad experience with another local salon, and thankfully wasn’t disappointed!
Everyone there was so friendly and kind! When you come in they offer you some water or tea, and the place generally has a soothing atmosphere. They didn’t take too much off of my ends, as I want to keep as much length as I can while getting rid of bad ends– most places tend to take WAY too much off, but both stylists I saw did a great job with it! Yes, I did come back after my first cut :)
This is also a great place for people with chemical/​artificial smell sensitivities. I can be sensitive to synthetic smells (makes me feel ill) and I LOVE that they use natural products! I also have anxiety issues, and for some reason the smell of hair dye can cause me to feel like I have issues breathing and make me panic (probably a part of the chemical smell sensitivity as well). The 2^nd appointment we started off in a chair that the person in the next chair was having dye applied, and I let her know it was an anxiety issue. She was more than happy to move to a chair on the other side of the room so I could be comfortable!
I’d recommend this place– it has a calm atmosphere, in a lovely location, everyone is always very friendly and kind, and they do a great job!

For the longest time a few years ago I was trying to find a right salon/​hair stylist who would do my hair the way I wanted to and luckily a friend of mine had recommended this place. Loved the atmosphere of the salon and the receptionists always greet you with a smile. I had bought some products from them as well and they had scanned them in the computer so the next time I come back they can refer to what I had bought the last time so I won’t forget. Shawna was the one who had cut my hair last and she did such a great job! Part way through the cut she would always ask me if this was the look I wanted for reassurance and I appreciated it! Superb customer service!

This salon sells aveda products. I got a mediocre massage and literally got a sales pitch before I left the room. Then I got a really terrible hair cut. My mom’s day out was sort of a bummer. I wouldn’t go here again. I find it interesting that the considerable number of negative reviews are all on the not recommended page.

What a great experience! I was greeted and offered water or tea and then was given a fabulous scalp massage. Inga did a great job with my hair and I’m very pleased with my cut. She even touched up my lip gloss before I left. It was professional start to finish.

Tried the facial cleansing line offered, and had a manicure. They don’t do anything badly at this place. Prices are on the high side, but you always get what you pay for…

After the hell I went through dealing with gene Juarez (you can read my review), this place was a breath of fresh air. The lady, Brittain, was very nice and understood exactly what I wanted. The price for the cut was $ 40 which to me is reasonable for my length and cut. Overall just a great experience and they were able to get me in the same day I called. I will most likely be returning to get my hair colored.

Love this salon! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now– service is always amazing, folks are very friendly, salon smells amazing (gotta love Aveda products) and beautiful calming atmosphere. Refreshing cold cucumber water upon check-​in. Love the option of sugar or regular waxing service. Always professional and fun!

I recently strolled into the olé Seaport boutique & massage parlor looking for that last minute Christmas gift for my daughter. I mean, there’s really no pleasing her. But that’s beside the point (she gets that from her mother). The real point here Kristin, lead makeup artist is an absolute godsend. Not only did she remember my daughter & what her preference was for makeup, but she wrapped my present on the spot. It looked so darn beautiful, you would swear she moonlighted as an elf in the North Pole back in the 1980’s. lol, that was a joke. She’s clearly too tall! Thank you Kristin, thank you Seaport!

so we just moved to the area, and my hair was a hot mess.
i was still kinda bummed that my hair stylist didn’t move to washington with me, so i searched Unilocal for a new salon & stylist. i really wanted to come to seaport primarily because it is an aveda salon, and i am obsessed with the sweet basil tea that aveda has. so i drove down there and made an appointment. the girls at the front desk were really sweet, and they recommended shawna to me, as she loves doing crazy red hair, which is what i have. they were able to fit me in for the next day, which was excellent since my bangs had grown so long i could barely see, and i just looked ragged.
it was time for my appointment, and i was so excited when i saw shawna. she has bright red and purple hair (just like my old stylist!) she was nice, listened to what i wanted, made suggestions, and did what was best for me. i wanted to go bright bright red, but i’m not sure if my new boss will go for that, so she made it a nice safe bright red, with brighter red panels underneath.
i also appreciate that they offer complimentary bang trims for up to four weeks after your haircut. my hair grows like crazy, and i usually have to have them touched up within two to three weeks. i also appreciate the fact that they give a 10% military discount :)
i did feel that it was kind of on the pricier side, even with the discount, but all in all was a great experience, and i’m sure i’ll be back :)

I absolutely LOVE this place!
The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is wonderful, and the location that you can look out of is simply stunning in its simplicity!
The place is located in downtown Silverdale, whisking you away from the modern world for a few moments in time (nothing medieval about it but I suppose the historic value of the early 1900s adds a little charm). The building is a small two-​story structure that’s painted in a seaworthy blue and white trimming. When you walk in, you are welcomed with a pleasant aroma displayed by the Aveda products in front and the inviting laughter and chatter of a plethora of women. I was greeted by the staff and received a glass of water with lime, I believe (my choice of beverage).
For my first time, I had set up an appointment with Angela for a one hour chakra balancing massage. I used to go to another massage parlor but the prices were starting to become a little too high for the meager budget I had. Anyway, Angela and I went up this small flight of stairs (shallow steps for those who have leg or feet problems-​a definite plus!) where above was the massage and facial stations. All I can say is «WOW!». Everything just felt so relaxing-​the atmosphere, the décor, the colored hues… perfect. Simply perfect.
The massage was great (she has a definite professional touch) and it was time to pay up. Now this is where their customer service was amazing: I had forgotten my wallet at home and I was starting to panic at the front desk. They were very attentive and reassured me that I could go home and come back to pay. I was SO grateful! No cop-​calling, no glares; it was all smiles and reassurance. So I came back to pay then set up another appointment for a stress-​fix massage.
I highly recommend getting the stress-​fix massage! That massage targets all stress points and the smell is just superb! I bought the bath salt and calming fusion oil to be used as an exfoliator at home and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and smelling fantastic!
I can’t wait to continue using their services and will definitely go in for one of their package deals soon. If you want to be pampered at an affordable cost, come to Seaport!

I have utilized many of their services from massage to pedicure and manicure.
Everyone there is pleasant, and I enjoy listening to the other employees interact with their clients but I wouldn’t use anyone else now. The interaction I have during my appointment with Renita is amazing. It’s like an afternoon with an amazing girlfriend who remembers what you said the last time you were in and you pick up from there.
Stellar performance. Bravo!
On the massage and nail services. I love how the massage area is sectioned off from the bustling salon into it’s own upstairs oasis. It was a nice quiet retreat.
On the nails — again; sanctioned off so you have a retreat like aspect… my only dislike… the request to not play with my phone while in there. Beyond that. The nail work was perfecto.
