History

Established in 2014.

We originally started as Mooney’s Property Service in 1986. We grew to a business of nearly 100 employees services commercial and residential landscape customers until we sold the business in 2007. Of course the country went into recession about a year later and we had to go back to work. After working at other landscaping companies it was decided that we needed to work on our own again and thus MoonCo landscape and Maintenance was started.

The now father and son team combine nearly 40 years of experience in the industry. We are well versed in all types of landscape. We are licensed, insured, and carry all necessary permits to apply any herbicide or pesticide at your residence or community. We service both residential and commercial customers.

We are part of the exclusive Celebrity Greens installation network provided service to all of Southern California for synthetic turf, synthetic putting greens, pet turf, and sports turf.

Business Owner

Matt started working in his dad’s landscaping company at a very young age and stayed working with his father until the company was sold. During the last few years of the business Matt attended college a California State University Northridge and obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working for a few different outdoor lighting companies it was time for a change. Sitting behind a desk for Matt was near torture and something had to be done. Matt approached his father in early 2014 about starting a new business in the landscape industry. Of course his dad thought he was crazy but once Matt’s mind is made up there is no turning back. Matt has been full force since the day his dad agreed to help him get the business going. There is nothing that is going to stop him from reaching his ultimate goals and building a business based on integrity, quality, and customer service that will be bested by no one.
