We are a full service, state-​of-​the-​art, quality oriented family dental office. Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment in which to accomplish your dental treatment. Painless injections, a soothing atmosphere, digital x-​rays and a friendly, cheerful staff are just a few of the things we provide. We treat both adults and children and most dental conditions for the entire family. We offer both traditional and metal-​free dentistry. We also provide treatment for some periodontal conditions, root canal therapy and some extractions. There are dental conditions that would be better served by the appropriate specialist. We have an excellent working relationship with several of the specialists in the immediate area and they treat our patients with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Some of the procedures which are referred to the specialist include periodontal surgery, orthodontics, some extractions, implant placement and some root canal therapy.

History

Established in 1994.

The Gentle Dental Office was founded in June of 1984 at the present location (corner of Sycamore Drive and Cochran Street) to provide quality dental care to the residents of Simi Valley and the surrounding area. Dr. Bankhardt acquired the office in September of 1994, and since then our office has seen phenomenal growth in both patient satisfaction and office reputation for delivering the highest quality of dental care.

Dr. Robert D. Bankhardt is a native southern Californian who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Dr. Bankhardt attended Los Angeles Pierce College where he received an AA degree in Business and California State University, Northridge where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Cell/​Molecular Biology. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Bankhardt attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors in 1986. Dr. Bankhardt has continued to update his education by attending numerous continuing education programs yearly to stay abreast of the latest developments in dentistry and dental health.

When he’s not working, Dr. Bankhardt enjoys spending time with his wife and two active children, along with playing golf, both water and snow skiing, reading, working on the computer and coaching soccer and basketball.
