Bomb ass tacos! I had been here once before and left without ordering because nobody spoke English and I wasn’t confident enough in my Spanish and I didn’t see anything that looked like fish tacos. This time I was craving meat and I figured I could accomplish that regardless of language barriers. As it turned out, the charming young man with a welcoming smile spoke perfect English. I had tacos al pastor and they were taco-truck delicious. Standard arroz con frijoles on the side with a dab of guac. No more expensive than a combo meal at Del Taco. I can’t wait to go back!

Only went here because we were with a group that chose this place for lunch. It was dirty inside and the trash was overflowing. I ordered taquitos and they were bland and flavorless. The menu is only photos no titles and its hard to tell apart all the dishes. The small salsa bar had no covers over them. I was concerned how sanitary they were so we chose not to take any. The paper to go menu had no prices and again only photos. It makes it really hard to determine what they have to offer. The prices are a bit high for what you get. We will not be returning.

I had the al pastor nachos and they were loaded with toppings that we’re all equally delicious. Chips are super crispy and didn’t get soggy. Al pastor was so flavorful. Grilled onions, beans, quac, cheese, etc. nothing disappointed. My husband got the 5 taco plate and tried the al pastor, carnitas, carne asada, and chicken… He said the al pastor was the best but the others were good as well. We will definitely be back!

I have been going to Tacos Goyo when it was formerly named Burritos Michocon. My fiancé has been visiting the establishment since it opened. The service is always extremely quick and the food is consistent, mouth watering and never a let down. I am obsessed with the red sauce and order it in bulk at times. They sell it in small and large sizes. I use it on everything when I cook. Pretty much they are a staple in our«hole in the wall» Mexican restaurants.

Great little hidden place. Just good down home mexican food. Nothing fancy. Just 5 tables. The only bummer is no beer. On Tapo St between Cochran and Alamo.

Nachos of carne asada are fireeeeeee. It’s the only thing i’ve ever ordered because i like them that much but I’m sure everything else is good as well. Always got to-go and they were never busy while I was in(late lunch and late night). Could use some costmetic changes to inside and out but i go for the delicious food and quick service not the view! Price is not high

The food is delicious, the carne asada is amazing, the salsa is seriously my favorite(and Im usually a pico de gallo gal). The nachos are my favorite nachos from anywhere ever, but we usually order to go since the building is tiny and kind of gives the feeling of being dirty, even though the kitchen has looked clean every time I’ve been in, the part where you sit and eat isn’t really nice. The little awkward parking lot reflects this as well. Those are the only things that make this place 4 stars instead of 5. The people and food have been great every time I’ve been there!

Honestly, the food here is tasty and authentic. The best carne asada in the area bar none, plus it’s family owned and operated. They serve Jamaica amongst other regional and imported favorites, both on tap and in bottles, they even have mango Snapple. So far the burritos, tacos, nachos and chile verde are the favorites, tonight my bud had the gorditas(#4), and was most impressed. Probably why everyone I turn onto this place keeps coming back. Try some street tacos and a bottle of Mundet, an imported Mexican apple cider, on your next visit, it’s very pleasant.

I’ve had their shrimp ceviche which is pretty good when it’s not too salty. The rice is pretty bland, Tacos are OK but I would highly recommend the owner to get rid of their current salsa recipes. The salsas are HORRENDOUS! Not authentic and super salty. The girl in the front counter is very rude and always gives you an attitude, bad customer service. I won’t be back just because of her, Luna Llena on Tapo Canyon has way better food.

I’ve been a customer of Carnitas Michoacanas for about 5 years. They used to have good food but with the years the quality and flavor of the food has gone down the drain. The service is not very friendly and the place is dirty and run down. They used to have a salsa bar with a couple different salsas, now they only have a container with pickled carrots. After I received my order, the woman asked me if I wanted salsa, so they are keeping the salsa behind the counter, I guess to make sure people don’t take too much, very tacky. You can clearly see they are trying to cut down by taking the salsa bar out and raising their prices, they really don’t have anything special for me to recommend this place at all. In the last year or so they have raised their prices a few times, the food is totally overpriced, you also have to pay for drink refills and on top of all that, they charge you to use your debit card. The woman told me this as she was ringing me up but she said it under her breath and while she was looking the other way, I didn’t know what she had said until I saw her adding it to my total. Needless to say, I’m never going back, I don’t mind paying good money for my food, but not at this place, the service is bad and the food is terrible. There are many restaurants in the area that are much better and you can get a decent meal for the same price or for less.

Love love love this place for nachos and their salsa!!! My husband usually gets their Carnitas tacos and loves them. Daughter gets a carne asada torta and our son loves the bean and cheese burritos. Everything is flavorful. I don’t care for the chicken. All in all great little hole in the wall. Not very big inside, good for a quick lunch or to take home.

If I could give zero stars I would, we went here last week and at first glance the place looked nice from the outside. The inside was a different story, it was hot and dirty looking. The food was overpriced and tasted awful. When we sat down to eat the tv above us was showing novelas at full volume, it hurt my ears and made it hard to enjoy my already terrible meal. There were no free refills on drinks so we were suckered into buying a large. The environment was terrible and so was the food. My meal was supposed to come with guacamole, instead I got a light drizzle of guac on top of a bed of lettuce. They intentionally disguised the guacamole on top of the lettuce so you don’t realize how little you got. The place charges premium prices for terrible food, I will never go back.

Wow! great mojara frito for $ 7 and change saved nearly $ 60 compared to driving 50 miles to San Pedro for the same deep fried tilipia. Generous portion for lunch and the carne asada for $ 7+ was also large. So $ 20.25 with medium drinks for two great lunches. Unique flavor for the Sala Rojo, something extra in it but the salsa Verde was too salty for me. Parking lot in the back unusually large for the building.

I have been a faithful patron of this restaurant for over two years. After being out of town for a few months I was excited to come back for my favorite Mexican joint. I have to say, after my visit today I don’t plan on going back. I ordered some ceviche, paying for extra avocado, and when I got home it was all rotten. So disgusting. That is how people get sick. It wasn’t the«normal» crew I used to see, so not sure if it’s just the staff that happened to be working but they showed no concern over the situation. Wasted 40 mins driving there and back to get a refund. What a shame, used to really love this place.

First of all, I’m pretty picky. I”ve been to A LOT of Mexican Restaurants all over the nation(large ones & small ones) And most of them dont really incorporate true taste & spices into the food. Pretty much mainstream bland stuff. This place has Excellent Authentic Mexican food!!! Burritos are pretty big, reasonably priced. Carne Asada Burritos are absolutely awesome! And the Red Sauce! OMG, it is the best I have ever had! I’m serious you have to try their Red Sauce, its a taste unlike any other!!! Once you try it, you’ll be hooked!(I want the RECIPE!!) Trust me, your good to go at this place, they rock!!!

Honestly the BEST authentic Mexican food! I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little girl and I love it more and more. They have really good carne asada and pretty good menudo! Tripas are super good I prefer small pieces that are extra crispy but you can’t deny any tripas taco! Awesome service always nice, and fast.

I love their authentic food especially the tongue taco plate. They are now charging $ 0.50 per card charge now contrary to California law. I hope they stop this soon.
