With an extensive art and design background Leslie has the unique ability to visualize and then realize the perfect cupcake that both sparkles in flavor and beauty. Designs are created with frosting, sugar flowers, gum paste, royal icing and fondant or any combination of techniques to create the perfect use of color, pattern and composition. Our motto is that «Everything Tastes Better When it Looks Good». One of the most popular items at The Cupcake Garden is the 3-​tier cupcake cake. This miniature three layer cake can be decorated in a variety of ways but the most popular is the Swiss Meringue Butter Cream Chrysanthemum Flower.

History

Established in 2011.

After 30 years as an accomplished Interior Designer with a passion for cooking Leslie Dawson-​Mouzis decided to make a career change combining her artistic abilities with her gift of cooking and baking. Leslie introduced her cupcakes to the community by donating them to the Santa Susana High School Instrumental Music Department to sell for fundraising. The students and parents became instant fans of the cupcakes and she has helped the department raised hundred of dollars. The Cupcake Garden is a totally custom ON-​LINE business. Leslie makes herself available by phone or e-​mail at all times (with-​in reason), so feel free to call with any questions you might have. It is her dream to open a shop in the near future.

Leslie is married and has 3 sons as well as a step-​son and a step-​daughter. She is a graduate of the UCLA Interior Architectural Design Program and has run her own successful Interior Design business for 25 years. She has always had a passion and talent for cooking and baking and in 2011 she decided to follow a dream she has had for many years and start her own cupcake baking business. Her love of the creative arts and her design background is always pushing her to new limits in creating a new cupcake flavor, filling, frosting and decoration.
