I am completely appalled by the lack of service I received today. I called in, think I was calling the Simi Valley store location, placed an order provided my entire credit card information. I went into the Simi Valley location to pick up my order that was never issued for a pick up time at 6:40 pm. Call back to the call center and asked to speak to a manager. Then was advised it is not per your regulations that a customer can speak to a manager. I was then given the headquarters number and tried to leave a message for someone, however, pressing zero to do so was not an option. Then I took the liberty of typing in random names into the directory to leave a message. I left a message on Adam Barry(?) voicemail and will hope to receive a call back. The lack of service and help from a customer service department is completely unacceptable. With the lack of service I can I feel confident that my credit card will not be used. Wouldn’t even have given one star, if the system didn’t force you to do so you could post your review.

The habit is a great place for burgers and my favorite is actually the veggie burger with avocado! The service is wonderful they’re always checking on you and I feel like it is clean and nice to sit out on the patio outside if it’s not too hot. My favorite place to stop for lunch since it is very close to the stable where I ride at! I really love their chocolate malts as well!

Superior customer service yields a more satisfactory customer experience. Gabriel Beltran really leads his team to perform well in very crowded situations. The orders are correct and service with a smile. When the flow slows down team members are proactive with keeping standards high. Fresh fast food. This is my favorite habit and I have been to several. Clean.

Ate here again today and we had a conversation about how well run this chain is but also that this store in particular must be very well managed. The service is always spot on, we are greeted quickly, our order taken quickly, they use pagers for«foods ready» and the food is served in a timely fashion. The food is very good as well. I must admit that I don’t stray from the burger menu often but that’s because they get the burgers right. They always taste juicy and fresh with just the right amount of kitchen goods and condiments. The fries are always very consistent as well. It’s really hard to beat this place amongst the other burger chains. They also have lots of nice touches that make the experience stay pleasant, like the staff when not busy come around and fill drinks or take your trash away. It’s silly but feels like they care and that possibly these folks enjoy working here(i hope that’s the case). Often when at other burger joints when the staff is not busy you see them just stand around and chat or on their phones(only really bad when they don’t realize new customers have walked up). OH and the ranch dressing is amazing on the fries(just ask when you pick up your meal).

BESTONIONRINGSEVER. Whenever I’m craving crunchy, greasy, goodness I make my way over to the Habit. I’m so disappointed they don’t have more locations scattered throughout southern California because it takes so much work to explain how good it is. Some people might say the onion rings from Red Robin are better, the Habit’s onion rings are crispy on the outside, perfectly salted, and melt in your mouth once you bit into them. I know this a burger grill and meat is probably what most people will go there for, but their veggie burger is surprisingly tasty. A lot of places bring out a piece of cardboard disguised as real food, but the Habit is different. Their charburgers are juicy and you have the option to add bacon, cheese and avocado(yum)!

This place is the best burger place in town. Their kids meal can fill an adult and it’s only four bucks. I love their fries and their ranch is the best in town.

Enjoyed the burger was very juicy, the place is small and has limited seating, but if you are lucky and grab a seat first, you will wait for your fresh cooked burger, not reheats like some places. I enjoyed it. If I’m in this area again I’d go back.

I have been eating at The Habit for many years and have always loved it. They have burgers, salads, and sandwiches here and all are great. The chicken Caesar salad is great and so are the burgers, but my go to in the chicken club sandwich. The food is always ready quickly but is high in quality. The service is great as well. I would recommend eating here for sure.

Food was good as I expect from this chain but what really impressed me was how the manager treated his guests and employees. Everyone gets a genuine smile. The employees were pleasant and working hard at cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors and assisting customers. All in love a very good vibe here today.

I usually come here cause my coworker or boyfriend wants to eat here. There’s nothing wrong coming here, I just eat a lot of burgers and like my breaks. They have a great selection and I’ve never been disappointed each time I came here to eat. I have tried the original char, mushroom char, tri tip sandwich, and the albacore sandwich. 1 sandwich or burger per visit. For sides, I have tried the french fries, sweet potato fries, tempura green beans, and onion rings. From the list I have never ordered a salad. Oops. I know other people who order and like them. Everything on the menu is worth a try if you want to mix things up and not get the usual. Normally I drink the cucumber lemonade with sprite(yes ½ and ½ for mixture. Just a habit i have, but feel free to mix this drink up and try! The service here is great and the people are friendly. One time they made one too many chocolate shake and asked my table if we wanted it even though we didn’t order it. That was a nice them to offer it and my coworkers ended up having me drink it cause I was the only female at the table. There’s plenty of parking since it is in a shopping/eating plaza area.

Santa Barbara style burger is pure awesomeness. The onion rings are a little more hit and miss and the«blue cheese» dressing has an «off» taste. Not a one time thing. They need a new supplier on that one. Their other burgers are really good too and online ordering is a breeze.

I have to update my review because I come here way too much and love my meal each time. I’m still bummed that ordering to go is such a hassle compared to before. But they wait is never too long, and I can always finish my meal while my daughter stares at the fans on the ceiling sitting in her stroller.

You really can’t go wrong with The Habit! I grew up in Simi Valley, and my family regularly came here when we wanted a break from the local In-N-Out. I personally love the Charburger & the BBQ Bacon Charburger. Their onion rings and fries are also great! I’ve even gone on to order their kids nuggets :-P Very spacious inside & out, although sometimes it gets packed and hard to find seating. Whenever I am visiting and in town, I try and stop by this place!

This place reminds me of just an upscale version of McDonald’s and the place is not that great. Food is super greasy and the burgers have no flavor whatsoever on the meat. All the items on the menu are also overpriced for the portion size that you get. For being my first time at this restaurant I don’t think I would ever go back. I have to say the only good part about the meal was the onion rings and it was the only thing that actually had flavor to it.

This location the employees do a fantastic job in catering to the customers. When I’m on this side on town and I’m craving a burger this is where I come. I’ve been here several times and have never had any issues with my food or anything. The store has always been very well maintained and most of all very clean. For a fast food location its a plus that your food come out as in a reasonable time and its has always been hot and juicy. Great Job. Very important in my book. Don’t serve something that you yourself wouldn’t eat. Good job. There’s also a place to eat outside that has a fire pit. I’m sure during the cold nights it would be nice to sit outside and enjoy the fire pit. The other thing is the Restrooms also very important and they have done a good job in maintaining them. Good job. This location has no drive-thru. 2015 Unilocal Challenge.086/100

My kid and I have a small Habit habit. Whenever we get the chance, we head for here. Its a fun place with good food and decent service, mainly its a handy location to stuff our faces. I’m partial to either the chicken or salmon sandwich, but the burgers rock as well. Clean place, fresh tasting everything, and a staff which knows how to smile. Lots of great menu choices, a decent beverage selection, and plenty of seating all make this Habit a handy local asset.

Food: The chicken sandwich on sourdough with teriyaki sauce is phenomenal. I can’t recommend this particular item enough. The food here is generally really good, you can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches or burgers. The ingredients taste fresh and the kitchen is actually visible, which is a welcome change. Service: Service here is friendly and attentive. Even with a lunch line going out the door, the employees are friendly and efficiently handle all of the orders. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

This is the first time I have ever eaten at a Habit, and I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment was super clean; even the restrooms were spotless. That is very unusual for a fast food place. The staff was very friendly and helpful, walking around and offering to clear used trays. The menu is simple and classic. All the food is made fresh and to order. I would definitely return here if I am in the mood for a burger.

Nice, clean yet sterile environment, fast & efficient, friendly service, It’s a chain that has a lot going for it in its corporate formulation. Get in line, order, pay, get a translucent plastic disc that buzzes & has red LED lights that flash when your order is ready. Pick up your bag, and go out the door. I ordered the Hatch Green Chile Char Burger with Chipotle Salsa, Swiss Cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce. The Hatch Green Chile was grilled to soften, the Swiss cheese was melted. The Chipotle Salsa was MIA in that it was not smokey nor piquant. Another victim of corporate homogenization to standardize to a monotonous mean. The double meat was only $ 1 extra so I went for it & glad I did. The ground beef is mildly charred and had a mild, pleasant beefy, meatiness. «Hatch chile refers to varieties of species of the genus Capsicum which are grown in the Hatch Valley, an area stretching north and south along the Rio Grande from Arrey, New Mexico, in the north to Tonuco Mountain to the south of Hatch, New Mexico. The soil and growing conditions in the Hatch Valley create a unique terroir which contributes to the flavor of chile grown there. Most of the varieties of chile cultivated in the Hatch Valley have been developed at New Mexico State University over the last 130 years.» A year ago my Sprouts Farmers Market sold 3 varieties of Hatch Chiles, and the greengrocer there explained that the 3 varieties ranged from mild, medium, hot in the capsicum range of piquancy. The grilled Hatch chile at the Habit was, of course, the mild variety which, to me, did not add much of a taste sensation to this burger. I wish that I could give a big squirt of Sriracha to wake up some of the flavours in this Hatch Chile burger. The onion rings weren’t coated with a thin, crispy batter, but more soft & bread-like that seemed sweetly herbed with possibly sage/marjoram. The onions inside were cooked through to a mellow, mild funk. Good onion rings for this type of genre. I sampled the Tempura Green Beans which if it weren’t called«Tempura» would be fairly decent, but described as such, don’t expect the exemplary Japanese Tempura at Hannosuke at the Mitsuwa Market Place in West LA nor at Otomi~san in Boyle Heights. Either the green beans were parboiled too long & too much, or the green beans may have come out of a bag of frozen«fresh» green beans, but whichever way, the beans came out mushy, pulpy, watery, & flavour deficient. The batter came out bready & not crispy in a teeth shattering texture. This is definitely not a winner if you’re a Japanese food cognoscento. If one is not, well, these Tempura Green Beans may be quite acceptable. Excluding the Tempura challenged green beans, the food at the Habit is quite decent. I may still like In & Out burger a bit better since the beef patty seems to have more beefy Umami, but the Habit is no slouch either. Overall, a nice, decent 3 Unilocal stars which is a pretty high rating since I consider most corporate chain fast food joints to be far more subpar.
