Not bad for a strip mall area spot… The dinners are fairly priced and the rice is good… try the special sauce on the scallops its delicious.

I visited this restaurant Saturday night. I just have to say that everything from the food to the customer service was absolutely fantastic. My sons and I ate on the hibachi side. I had the hibachi shrimp with teriyaki sauce and fried rice, my oldest son had the chicken with fried rice, and my youngest son had the teriyaki shrim poo with fried rice. The food was so delicious. We all ordered double rice ao that we could have some more for lunch the next day. I will definitely return to this restaurant very soon!!!

Found bone in my eel roll. I guess there’s a first time for everything. It was a half hour before close but that’s no excuse. I also got salmon skill roll and it didn’t taste right. Nothing was fresh. Ebi nigiri was okay.

This has been our go to Japanese restaurant for 16 years. The staff is always friendly, many are family members who treat us so well every time we go. Consistently good, have never had a bad meal here. Service is excellent.

This is my favorite hibachi spot around! The staff is very friendly and the food is consistently delicious! The fried rice is perfect! My family and I usually dine in later to Avoid the dinner rush. The ginger house salad and brothy soup are very simple but truly tasty! I recommend getting the Filet.

Went yesterday for lunch. Server was mean. Place was dirty. Was scared to eat the sushi. Miso soup and fried rice was okay.

Late post, but I’m just getting use to Unilocal! This place is wonderful and very lovely. My children wanted to go here for Mother’s Day. At the last minute, we were able to get in and sitted us within 30 minutes. Tasty food and my kids were greatly entertained. Nice spot.

This was my first time experiencing hibachi and I must say the food was good. Walking in we were greeted and seated right away. The staff was very cordial and made sure to acknowledge you. During my visit I saw what appeared to be regulars as they were greeted warmly and some even got hugs. Our waitress was quick and got us situated quickly. As this was my first time she did guide us and was on the money. Once the chef arrived he greeted us warmly and repeated our dishes to us. We watched the master at work and I picked up a few tips along the way. The food was good, the service was good, and the portions of rice, vegetables, chicken and steak were good. If ordering the shrimp be aware it is only six pieces. With all the other food I was good with that but some diners might be expecting more so be aware. As the meal went on they kept our glasses full while the chef made sure our tummy was full. I even talked shop with him and learned about the seasoning he used, I will be doing this at home to try. At the end they satisfied us with some ice cream either orange sherbet or Neapolitan. This dining experiencing was such a great experience I will be dining there again soon. Enjoy!

I’m pretty lenient with my five stars, this one was probably closer to four and a half, but nevertheless this restaurant is very good! C: They have a wide array of seafood, sashimi, many kinds of sushi rolls, a few soups, some non-seafood and such. I’m a sucker for salmon, so I was so happy they both have onigiri and sashimi. I love yellow and whitefish too. I especially like their seashells with the scallops and fensi on top, except sometimes the fensi is hard. I just wish there was a change of taste sometimes :) the seafood is generally very light and there weren’t many rich options except the meat(but I’m pescetarian.) Their small dessert table is cute too. The chocolate fountain is bound to be a favorite for kids and I especially fell for their crème brûlée. They have some assorted fresh fruits and little cakes and flan too, along with a very nice ice cream machine that I couldn’t sample(can’t eat cold). Sure, the price is a little hefty, but I’d say it’s very worth it :) the seafood is delicious, the restaurant is clean, and overall it’s a very lovely place!

Great place! The house soup has fried onions at the bottom making it taste great. The vegetables don’t have carrots but still good. Local and still family owned. The son still cooks.

Tried this place for the first time and everything was delicious! Has the spicy tuna roll, fried crab roll and shrimp tempura roll. Then we had chicken and shrimp hibachi, and scallop and filet hibachi. They are not skimpy on the portion sizes! Enough for leftovers tomorrow. Rice was the best rice I had ever had! Will be back.

Food was great as others have said. Service was pretty slow. We also wanted to substitute vegetables for extra rice, but they would not do it, we have never had a Hibachi restaurant refuse to do this before.

The Volcano Roll is a must & the Q-Roll is good also, they even made us a extra Q-Roll so they didn’t waste the food. Very friendly staff, good family place.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Disappointed that we weren’t given a choice before being lead to a Hibachi grill/table. A overly salted ginger salad, and a cup of broth came with our meal. I ordered the Teriyaki steak, my lunch companions ordered the shrimp and chicken. After sitting there for 20 minutes wondering where everyone disappeared to a server appeared, I asked her when someone was going to start cooking and was told we had to wait for the grill to heat up. Ok, this is not my first rodeo and I know it doesn’t 30– 40 minutes for the grill to heat up. I told her we only had another 25 minutes for lunch. She left and the Hibachi chef appeared. He’s lucky he was cute. I was disappointed with the amount of steak I received, it was maybe 3 oz. My companion who ordered the shrimp got 6 pieces(and left still hungry) the other companion who ordered the chicken seemed to come out with the better deal. But we did get enough rice to feed about 10 people! Veggies also came with the meal but by the time they were done the rest of the food was cold. Hope you like mushrooms! I did get a few pieces of zucchini and some onions. If you are looking for the whole Hibachi experience, do not go here. I don’t feel its a good value for what you get and there is no entertainment or fancy cooking. If I do eat here again it will be because its close to the house.

My family and I dined here on Easter Sunday, so maybe our bad impression is just a fluke Holiday experience. We sat down at a hibachi grill that was otherwise unoccupied. I ordered an iced green tea, which the server said was no problem to make and she brought out some lemons for me because that’s the way she likes it too. I was pleased and even began to think«oh, a private table» and how I may be able to order a vegan hibachi dinner, a rare treat for me. However, we were shortly joined by a solo diner so I changed my mind as a request for no butter, no egg is probably a pain with more than just a couple of people at the table. So I ordered veggie tempura, edamame, and a vegetable roll. My grandma ordered the Chicken and Steak hibachi and my boyfriend ordered the Steak hibachi. Then we waited, and waited. It seems like they wanted to make sure we had a full table before the dinner was served. 20 – 30 minutes later a party of 3 was finally sat with us. I can understand wanting a full table for the hibachi experience when the place is busy, but keeping a table of 4 waiting for a half hour is a little ridiculous. My grandmother was unimpressed with the fact that no one came over to clear the soup bowls and salad plates when the chef started firing up the grill. I was unimpressed with the chef’s lack of entertaining or welcoming attitude. He didn’t really talk to us and just kept watching the basketball game on the t.v. There were none of the usual hibachi show elements. As far as the food goes, the vegetable roll was decent and so was the edamame, but the tempura was very oily and heavier than I’m used to in other places. My grandmother and boyfriend both said the rice was pretty bland and that the whole experience was really not worth the money. They do seem to have regulars, so maybe it was an off night, but we will be going elsewhere for our Japanese steakhouse needs.

Of course the best thing about this place is the taste of Beni hana… at an affordable price. Hibachi for 2 and drinks for under 50.00! Try to do that at Beni hana!
