My friend’s band was playing here so I thought I’d stop by. When I walked up to the door, there were two or three people standing well down the sidewalk to the right smoking and chatting. I offered my ID to the door man/bouncer/whatever and he got up right in my face and rudely said«Hey, if you think you are getting in, you need to get in line and wait LIKEEVERYBODYELSE ! » I looked at the pack of smokers about 15 feet down the sidewalk and said«hey, I didn’t realize that circle of people smoking over there was a line, SMARTASS ! «and walked away, with all my money I was going to spend there. All this guy should have done is say«hey, we got a short wait, so hang out for a second and we’ll get you in», or something to that effect, but he seized the opportunity to be a dick about it instead. Especially frustrating because the«line» wasn’t anything even close to resembling a line, to begin with… and what crowded bar doesn’t have a gaggle of people out smoking in front of it, anyway? This was on Saturday, 01−30−16 at around 9:00pm. I hope the owners read this because they really need to think twice about posting a jerk like that at the front door to run off customers with his pissy attitude.

Went to the Oxford last night for some dinner and a couple drinks. I was immediately asked for my ID, which is no big deal. I pull the ID out(I’ve recently moved to WA from Tempe Arizona) and hand it to the bartender. She takes a look at it, shines a light that she obviously doesn’t know how to use and hands me my license back telling me it’s fake and that I need to leave the bar. The reason for the 1 star review is the bartenders here aren’t educated enough to tell a real identification from a fake. In fact, I’m willing to bet as soon as she saw its out of state and that I look like a younger gentlemen she convinced herself it’s fake. I’m 25 years old with a beard Also, every bar is supposed to have a book with every states different identifications in it for bartenders to quickly be able to tell if it’s fake or not. She failed to even bother looking.

I love the atmosphere, the people, food. But my biggest problem is having my server eat behind the bar and going to her smoke breaks and not washing her hands. I would give a 5 star but that is not cool.

Stopped in for lunch. Sat at the bar for food and drinks. Good food(I had the bacon cheese burger) and reasonably generous pours. Good, clean, unpretentious atmosphere in an old building that fits in with all the antique shops on 1st Street. If I’m going to nitpick, the bartender was a little bit indifferent considering how slow it was, though she was friendly and in her defense was handling all the tables at that hour too. Good place to go if you’re in the area and your tastes lean away from the sports bar type joints.

I’ve been there a couple of times for Seahawks viewing parties and we had a blast! The staff was very engaging and friendly. The food was delicious! The Mac n Cheese is to die for! Large portions kept us very full. The second time we had eggs benedict with bacon, sausage, hash browns, biscuits & gravy. The bacon is amazing — thick & crisp. The ambience and historic charm of the building only added to the experience. A few of us were brave enough to take the tour of the upstairs and learn about the Oxford’s haunted past. Creepy but made it that much more fun. We enjoyed it so much, we’re going to have our next Seahawks party at the Oxford instead of the other venue. You have to check out this place at least once!

The best fish ‘N’ chips around. Truly. And the service is always great. I love the food: price ratio. Very fair prices for the portions and quality. Any food item I have gotten here has been amazing. Their wraps are epic too. Only small complaint is I wish they had more«exotic» beers and mixed it up more with IPA’s, but that’s just me. 5 stars.

Music good, atmosphere eh, service awful. Waitress completely ignored our table, literally had to go to bar to get our own drinks.

With a saloon or bar experience the staff can really make or break your rating. I am, in this case a little on the fence because some of the staff is just great. The rest is kind of awkward and make you basically dislike the experience. I had this awesome bartender who was making really fun drinks and wanted to chat with me. I was having a great time and really felt like the top of a mountain. Then I was invited by a group to join them at the second bar… this immediate went sour, the bartender was in a bad mood or just generally not fun. She did not turn the mood at all and seemed put out to serve me. It was not fun and I started to feel awkward like I should leave or something. I was still having fun with a group of friends and continued to drink and be well. Then I started to notice there was one of the employees was staring at me like some kind of prison guard. I started to feel weird when I realized the security was standing around staring at our group and not saying anything. Not sure what it was but definitely the staff at the second bar was making us feel awkward and it was not at all the mood of the main bar. I assume they were experiencing a group headache that night.

The Oxford is the kind of place you can rely on to have a fair meal at a fair price. It’s been there as long as I can remember. The halibut and chips are always on point, I’m a big fan of the turkey, avocado, and bacon sandwich, not so much on the pasta salad, but the onion rings are great. Nice folks, versatile crowd. I’ll be back for sure

A friend and I needed a girls getaway so we head out to Snohomish to check out the antique shops. Lo and behold it comes time to eat and WOW! We hit the supreme jackpot finding the Oxford Tavern! The food is amazing! The service top notch! Brian was a very attentive host, even suggesting a burger for me! Topping it all off: he brought us a sample of their YUMMY house made mac and cheese! OMG it was bomb! I would make that drive again just for the food/experience! If I could I would give it a 10 star rating! Thanks too, Brian, for sharing the ghost stories with us! Try it! You’ll it!

Came in near the end of the breakfast rush on Father’s Day(6−21−15) and had a pleasant enough time sitting at the bar. The food was solid, good portions for the price, we had the eggs Benedict and the buffalo chicken wrap. The service, understandably, was not the greatest. The poor server was mostly busy dealing with some less than happy customers, but we are low maintenance and didn’t mind that so much. She also missed some minor detail things, but over all we had a pleasant experience.

I went here with a group and will never be back. The bartenders/staff walked right by me several times with no acknowledgement. I ordered a drink and was told they cannot serve me with no explanation. I was stone sober. I realized the root of the problem was an over zealous, bitter woman who I saw yell and scold staff, she must have been the manager. The doorman was the only good thing, he had class. Hire people that understand customer service.

Visited recently for the first time on a sunny Thursday afternoon. The food was decent enough and the portions were HUGE but despite that, it was still overpriced for what we got. The wait staff(really only one gal behind the bar) was nice enough but seemed more preoccupied with chatting with the locals at the bar than she was serving us. We used an Entertainment coupon so one meal was free but doubt we’ll be back.

Been there a couple times now; service is a touch on the slow side but super friendly. When I’ve gotten cocktails, they’ve been mixed strong, and all of the food has been unreasonably delicious and in nice, big portions. Reviewing tonight because while I was picking up a food order to go, I overheard the bartendress refuse to serve more alcohol to a customer who already seemed pretty intoxicated. She was as kind, respectful, and professional as anyone could possibly be in that situation, even when the customer got snappy and beligerant, and she offered water multiple times. I’ve been in the service industry for a decade now, and I know how hard it is to say«no» when you work for tips, so huge props to her for that.

We had fun! A cold beer and a ginormous order of nachos. These were loaded(multiple layers not just on top) If you love cheese, ground beef, olives, onion, tomato, sour cream and salsa on your nachos this is the place! It could serve 4 people easily. It was crazy busy with nice servers. It was full of real regular folks and motorcycle lovers as it was Sky Valley Antique & Vintage Motorcycle Show. We rode up on the Ducati. IT was a gorgeous day for it.

Best burgers in town, best tartar sauce too. The lady’s that work here are always friendly and take good care of there clientele. I like downstairs too, old western feel to it. Basically original from 1890. This place has old school history, it’s haunted as well which gives it a little twist.

Been here twice and both times downstairs; yes there’s a downstairs! You should party there. You’ve got your own bar, pool tables, and dart boards but the darts are pretty… well they’re bar darts. The staff is very friendly but if they’re busy it can be a hard to get their attention even when you’re looking right at them in a they see you see them and you see them see you kind of way. Anywho. It’s a great time if you’ve got a big group because there’s a ton of room to spread out and mingle. Plus the beer isn’t grossly overpriced. #winning

It’s a fun little spot in the downtown waterfront section of Snoho. It’s been a bunch of different things through the years, but it does a pretty good job of looking now like it has been a saloon for a century or more. It hasn’t, but the façade still has that historic look, and it was a saloon(and brothel) in the 1800s. So why shouldn’t they play up the historical angle? They say it’s pretty haunted, too. At least downstairs. Upstairs is a dining room where you can bring the kids, with a bar off to one side. The barback looks very antique, though there are mirrors affixed to the front now with a dozen tap lines coming through them. Nice effect, though. You walk in through swinging doors that will hit you in the back if you pause long enough. They play up the local antique row feel with some vintage signs here and there, and a gigantic suit of armor suspended from the ceiling. At the far end, they book local cover bands and whatnot for entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights, and they kinda pack the place. You can go downstairs for pool and more drinks, but it gets pretty tough to escape the noise, once it’s late enough. The kitchen does a decent job. Burgers, sandwiches, caesar salad. My french dip was good but a little too salty. The onion rings were alright, but kind of in that hot spot between housemade and from a bag. It was actually kinda hard to tell which they were. The tap selections were 90% safe for mass appeal, with a couple nice IPAs thrown in. All chosen to sell quickly, but the tap lines are clean and so are the glasses. A pint of 10 Barrel Apocalypse was all I needed. Staff is of the variety that can handle volume – pleasant, and organized, but mostly there to run their asses off, rather than make small talk. Bottom line, I’d come back here just to relax and have a beer or meal if I were in the area. If you’re up here antique shopping and need a meal, this place will work just fine. Nothing fancy promised, so go in just to relax and eat.
