CLOSED??? My 5 star review has fallen for 2 reasons. The place was fantastic for a many months, then in late summer I noticed the service was dropping off, the hours got cut back by an hour at night, and then… I show up to the Solana Beach location and their is a sign on the door that THEYCLOSED? The place was busy most of the time I went unless it was off hours. Here is my previous but now retracted review: «The quality of the organic food here is phenomenal. Especially the condiment bar. Don’t pay attention to the reviewer claiming the food is bland. They don’t understand that you are supposed to add any of the rocking seasonings, dressings and salsas in the bar to enhance the flavors of quinoa, kale, white meat chicken, and so on. By the way, the organic, GMO free tofu is beautifully flavored and delicious. The kale salad is amazingly good, large portioned, and so good for you. Great food, great service. Eat here! Go now!»

I love this place for lunch, but was disappointed to see today that this location has closed(a sign directs people to their Carlsbad location). That’s really too bad because CBW is great. Their location here wasn’t the best due to placement in the shopping mall, so I hope they come back to Solana Beach with a new location

This is the only location that I’ve been to. They have the friendliest staff and that’s why I come back. Also the food is pretty bomb. I like the fajita bowl. But a big thumps up to the staff. Very refreshing to see happy employees that actually want to help you and enjoy their job.

Agree with the other reviews this place is a refreshing change of pace and exactly what I have been searching for! Healthy and quickly prepared and very yummy! Tea selections also very nice!

The best fresh tasty food around! Much better quality then other comparable priced restaurants. The menu is a bit over whelming but the staff is extremely patient and helpful when deciding on your order. Chicken fajita bowl with quinoa is my absolute favorite!!!

The service was amazing. Ricky helped us and went out of his way to be kind and helpful. I would go back again just for that. The drink selection was amazing and they had all kinds of sauces and even hummus and the salsa bar.

The food here isn’t bad, it’s what you might expect from a chain. It’s quick and easy when you’re in a pinch. The guy at the counter seemed to have a hard time tracking what we were ordering. My bowl came with onions even though I asked for no onions, and double checked on that. The music was pretttttty bad in there, if I do say so myself. We also talked with one of the servers about the AC being on full blast. It was hard to enjoy the meal because it was so cold in there. She was very friendly about it and apologized. Overall… meh.

Sometimes you just can’t make it home to eat, this was my issue working late one night up in North County. CBW is a chain that is making some head way in San Diego with opening up many more locations and this one in Solana Beach was conveniently located right of Lomas Santa Fe Dr. in a complex of food places. Crazy Bowl and Wraps seemed very big inside compared to other ones and was sparklingly clean. You can’t go wrong with the Fajita bowl at CBW, which is what I ended up ordering here. The Fajita bowl( ) comes with avocado, beans, cheese, veggies, with your choice of protein and grain. In my case I decided on brown rice with some freshly grilled chicken. Adding broccoli is extra but worth it if you need more veggies in your diet. Everything tasted great with the chicken being cooked great along with great seasoning on everything in the bowl. The regular size bowl is on the larger size and will definitely fill you up for dinner. The other thing I like about CBW is their sauce bar which gives you a big selection of different sauces( ) you can add to your foods. I don’t know if the other locations have a Ice Tea bar( ), but this location had several different flavors of ice tea all with their caffeine content on the front, in case you don’t want to stay awake. If I hadn’t had already drank major amounts of coffee, I would have given them a try. CBW is always a good place to grab fast healthy food, you can never have too many veggies.

Nice concept and a good change of usual choices for fast food. I usually make quinoa salads at home, so it was nice to get one on the go for a change. My wife and I both chose the«wild salmon» as she ordered the bowl. We were disappointed to realize the salmon was not wild, as it had almost no color at all. I would have ordered the chicken if I would have known. I enjoyed the tea selection as well as the salsa bar, which included hummus. Not a bad choice for lunch.

Dude! This place is awesome! Fast, healthy food, for a reasonable price. Their menu is simple, yet allows for a lot of variety. How it works is that you can pick a base bowl/wrap, and then choose your own grain and protein. You also have the ability to build your own bowl from scratch. The location itself is bright with an outdoor seating area. Parking is ample. The people are nice. This is a great way to get quick, healthy food instead of junk.

Amazing. Love. This. Concept. CBW originated in St. Louis, according to their website, which, as a former member of the Midwest society, I was shocked by… this place has Southern California written all over it, and I am so glad the franchise has made it to San Diego(only CA locations, at the moment). I had never heard of it before it blessed Solana Beach, and if not for my love of Panera, I would have never known about it. On a lunch break, with full intention of going to Panera, I decided to try something new. CWB — Crazy Bowls & Wraps, is a unique experience. They offer bowls with your choice of grain, veggies, meat and sauce or — you guessed it — wraps with the same concept. I went with one of their pre-created bowls — The spicy teriyaki. ITWASSOGOOD. If you’ve been to a flame broiler, it’s sort of the same, but tastes better and seems like they use higher quality meat. I also really dug their iced tea selection. I will definitely, for certain, be back!

I am not familiar with places to eat in the Salona Beach area. I was in a rush to find a quick and healthy place to have dinner during my time crunch. I saw this place and looked on Unilocal to do a quick research. As I entered this place, I did not know what to expect. The menu looked a little foreign to me. I mentioned to the person taking my order that it was my first visit and asked for assistance about how to order. I also asked what he recommended. He was friendly and answered all my questions. I had a couple of items in mind that he mentioned. I ended up ordering the steak fajita bowl with brown rice and veggies. It was really yummy. Now I know where to get a quick and healthy meal!

This was obviously my first time there, and the staff was very friendly and helpful in guiding me through the menu and order process. I ordered a Bowl. I picked Jasmine rice as the base, with chicken for my protein and steamed veggies. Topped it off with Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce. It was delicious! The veggies were steamed just right, and were colorful and fresh. The sauce was so flavorful. In fact I am craving it right now. I really like that they have a choice for the portion size when ordering bowls. Sometimes I’ll eat more than I should just because its there. But when I’m watching calories, it’s nice to have this smaller order option available. Other times, when I’ve earned it, the bigger size option is appreciated. I thought it was a very good value and excellent quality.

This place has amazing salads. Accidentally came across it when planning to go to panera. And let me say, it’s so much better! Tostada salad is highly recommended!

A great option for a quick healthy lunch. Protein bowl with grass fed beef and beans is a tad bland. The vegetables — cabbage, broccoli, carrots, squash and edamame are not seasoned at all. They are saved by the cilantro jalapeño sauce. Love the quick and healthy concept with organic options. Very friendly service. Minus 1 star because portions are tiny.

Great food. I love that you get to make your own combinations. Food was tasty, fresh. It could have used a bit more of protein. It was roughly 2 oz. of chicken in my small. They do have a nice little«Flavor Bar» tried the hummus, pico de gallo and corn salsa. Service seems friendly and happy. I liked in general.

I was so excited for this to come into the shopping center since I work so close. It’s truly disappointing how bland all of the food is, I’ve tried a variety of items. Healthy food doesn’t have to taste like flavorless crackers. It gets 2 stars for the iced tea selection which is pretty good. I do like the kind of ice they use. :)

SO thrilled that CBW opened in Solana Beach! We really needed a new healthy lunch option in the area and this is absolutely perfect. I’ve been to their Mission Valley location and thought that it was ok, mostly because of the people working there, but both times I’ve been to the Solana Beach location it’s been fantastic! The whole feel is much more modern than the other locations– menu on a flat screen TV, feels more updated, etc. The menu has a few small variations as well(or so I was told). The staff are fantastic, super friendly, explain the menu, and actually seem like they want to be there. Very impressed with the staff overall. I found the food to be better here than at the Mission Valley location as well. I know that it’s a franchise/chain, but I definitely noticed a difference. So far I’ve tried the Chicken Fajita Bowl(YUM!) and the Protein Wrap grilled. Both were great. Can’t wait to continue to patronize this place, I will be back regularly!
