I’ve been here like 5 or 6 times, and each time I go it’s incredibly lame. I first went in 2012 and it was a decent crowd, although not very friendly people. I recently went back and oh my is it pathetic. The new manager is rude and she doesn’t have any business running a club. I asked for my money back because I went in after paying 10 $ and at 11:30 pm I was one of maybe 10 people in the entire club. I’m sure the location doesnt help(its not really within walking distance of the college campus)…but then again a few years back it was a decent sized crowd. Not sure what happened over time. Suggestion: Get rid of the damn cover charge. clubs should not charge covers in new jersey. If not, I can definitely see this place closing down in the next few years if not sooner.

Update Jan. 2016: Nearly empty Fridays. How nearly? Is eight people near enough? Don’t even want to try Saturday as I’d probably get into a fight about having to have paid a cover to go into an empty place. Went to literally what was by FAR the worst drag show I’ve ever seen last year. I’ve seen better drag done by little kids dressing in mommy’s clothes. Oy. Unless some major change occurs, I think I can safely say at this point I will indeed never be back. ____________________________ The management has the advantage of having a monopoly in the area, but it also has severely limited innovation. The next gay club is about an hour’s travel, north, east, or west. So I may be a little harsh with this rating, but I think it’s fair. In a word, fairly dull as a rule. Not very crowded. Very, very hit or miss. Bartenders can be nice, but I’ve encountered very rude ones as well. Sorry, honies, this ain’t Manhattan. How about dropping the attitude? And while we’re at it, $ 10 to get into a practically empty club in nowheresville, new Jersey? Please. And again, $ 7 for a rum and coke out here? Ridiculous. Nothing innovative has happened here in 20 years. The only significant change was the addition of a restaurant in front, which is what makes it possible to keep this dull old club hobbling along on barely 1 ½ nights of customers a week. The dance floor is essentially unchanged though, with the exception of a ridiculous VIP area which is always empty, yet guarded by a bouncer as if it’s housing a Fabrege egg collection. For god’s sake, Jimmy, get rid of this. Just let people sit at the tables and on the couches. I can’t say I won’t ever be back because, like I said, monopoly. Doesn’t mean I have to laud them though. It’s worth spending an additional 15 minutes or half hour to go to a place where there are actually, you know… people. A lot of places in New Brunswick are quite gay friendly now too, so while they aren’t «gay clubs» you can still be yourself.

Not necessarily a bad gay club. Good to go if you’re bored or just want somewhere to hang out with friends. Not really single-friendly though. Pros: + Affordable drinks + Cover fee isn’t usually shabby on non-special nights + Very little drama + Polite bartenders + Drag shows aren’t bad + Crowd is pretty mature considering Cons: — Too many cliques with everyone to themselves. No one ‘mingles’ outside their group. As a result it’s not really single friendly or a place to go if you don’t know anyone/by yourself — A lot of the ‘single’ guys are usually old

I visited this place on drag night. All I’m going to say about that is that they need a stage. Drinks were okay, but don’t ever, EVER drink the long island special. It was the most disgusting drink I have ever had in my life. I couldn’t even drink ¼ of it. The owner needs to give West Hollywood a visit and get some ideas. Dance Floor — C Drinks — B Music — B Atmosphere — C

Walked into the front door just before 10pm. By the time the doorman checked my ID and gave me my stamp, the clock turned to 10 and the gal behind the counter wanted to charge me the $ 10 cover. Having been in the bar on other occasions I chose to leave after asking her Really? Her response was, «it’s my job». Well, the drinks are way overpriced and the atmosphere is not worthy of a large university town. Went to Olde Queens and had a great evening !

I wish it was possible to give this club a negative star. It is a small karaōke club at best with no sense of modern class. The drinks are over priced, the cover is uncalled for since the club is essentially a dive bar with a dance floor. I have travled all over the country and visited a myriad of different gay clubs. ANDTHEDEN is by far the worst. Please save yourself the time and just stay home.

The thing I like about this place is that there is a mixed gay men/lesbian crowd. The thing that I don’t like is that there is ALWAYS a lot of lesbian drama there. The music isn’t that great, the drink specials are really nice. There are a lot of old people there. College night is okay, but it honestly ends up being really cliquey…

Bartenders are friendly, people are active, crowd ranges from 21 – 65 on avg. However, the cover isn’t worth the experience. Go on a Wed night when it’s free. it’s closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, leaving the gay community with no where local to go. Improve this!

I ventured down to Somerset just to check out this place tonight(college night). Pros: +the friendly crowd. +$ 2 beers. +polite bartenders. +beautiful gay men. +dance floor size. Cons: –lots of couples. –lack of dancing. — the music(30 minutes of lady gaga was too much) — the lesbians are ugly.

Can i give negative stars for this place still being open? I wish the owner would get a different promotor!
