New Market

Its a no-​nonsense small store that keeps everything that you need for indian cooking. Prices are as cheap as I have found on East Coast. And it has Rotis !! Need I say more?

Not the best selection of Indian food, but very cheap and it is right behind my house and it’s open till 9 or 10 pm… so I come here all the time for last minute things I forgot to pick up at the grocery store. Lots of points for convenience!

This store recently came under new management. They specialize mostly in Indian groceries. When I last went in, the produce section was somewhat limited to just the basics (tomato, red and white onions, garlic, ginger, cilantro, scallions etc.) but they also had plenty of Indian eggplant, which is conveniently what I came in for. Not bad considering he had only been open for 3 days. They have every spice that you can think of, and are selling it for a lot less than anywhere else. The owner is very nice, and anything that is not in stock, or not currently carried, he will happily order so it will be there next time. They also carry thumbs-​up cola, limca, and miranda.
