I’m a taco loving vegetarian so this place is right up my ally. The food isn’t amazing, but it is very good and I’ll make a point of going there a few times a year.

super cool little retro dineresque(think veggie galaxy and friendly toast) place that riffs similarly on their menu items to produce trendy, funky, tasty tacos for a low price point(~10/person for 2 tacos and a side if i recall)! they have a tiny menu as per their food truck model(which is currently hibernating because new england winters), but do visit them! you won’t be disappointed! i also had the side of chips(fresh, tasty) with bean dip(could’ve sworn that there was ranch in there, which was different. but interesting). they also have some vegan baked donuts which tasted more like dense cake, which were edible but unremarkable. i liked the idea nonetheless. the area in which this place is situated is totally the next hip happening area in somerville — i just hate to call it out because soon enough, it’ll be overgentrified and $$$$$$$$$$$. but in the meantime — i’ll be back! and it’s worth your visit as well!

The tacos here are great. Nearly perfect really. The tofu taco is perfectly crispy and yum. Seitan taco was spicy and flavorful. I look forward to trying the sweet potato taco. The guac was good, but way too expensive. I don’t see a point in paying 3.50 for two tablespoons of guac. Pinto dip was kind of gross, it might have been better warm. Cans of Polar seltzer are $ 2 each. Donuts were okay, but for the price there are way better vegan donuts in town. Service was surely. Taco Party tacos are tasty. I’m not against going back, but this place has some kinks to work out

As a vegan with only a few options in the local Somerville area, having Taco Party finally move in permanently down the street from our house literally made me jump for joy! I am used to only seeing their food truck, and blindly running through speeding traffic, flames, hordes of zombies, just to make sure I get some tasty vegan tacos! The best thing about their tacos, is that when a typical restaurant often makes a food item«vegan“it usually means they take all the flavorful toppings and proteins OFF, dust it off, and hand you an iceberg lettuce sandwich, or plain pasta with nothing on it, etc. These tacos aren’t just rice and beans, in fact there are far more exotic ingredients on them than your average Mexican joint provides: chorizo seitan, chipotle tempeh, breaded tofu patties, cashew cheese sauce, and the list goes on! Not to mention they partnered with the Sabretooth Bakery for amazing vegan and GF dessert options as well. A plethora of insane flavor combinations on their cupcakes, cookies, and donuts — I have to try new flavors all the time so I haven’t chosen a favorite yet and new ones keep coming out — it literally feels like vegan-fast-food-HEAVEN stepping into this place! Don’t ever leave us Taco Party and Sabretooth Bakery!

The tacos at Taco Party are pretty flavorful and tasty. They are however very small. I ordered two. That’s okay for me(not sure about other people), because I don’t want to feel too full when I leave a restaurant. They also use two tortilla wraps. That’s really a bit too thick for what’s inside(in my opinion). The nachos are really where it’s at. The cheese on top really does taste like an actual cheese(unlike a lot of vegan cheese’s). They also have a little kick of hot sauce. They are definitely worth trying. The bakery is good too. It’s very pricey at $ 3.00 per donut, but it’s not too often you find vegan donuts. The consistency of the donuts are a little different. They taste like scones with glaze and doesn’t really have a hole in the middle(like most donuts). I am not saying they are bad, just not what I expected. I also got a PB cookie. It was very soft and moist. The only complaints I have is the staff. I found the cashier to be very rude. I ordered my food, paid, ate, then I went back up to order baked goods. The cashier told me to hold on, but kept going back and forth from the front desk to the kitchen, bringing back whatever(dishes, etc.). Then when he was ready he proceeded to take my order. Then he stopped me mid way through my order to greet people coming in and started explaining the menu to them. They did not purchase anything and walked out. Then another customer came in who had ordered something to go from before. Again he stopped helping me and rang the other customer up. At that point I assumed my bakery items were ready as I had already paid, so I grabbed my bag. The cashier says to me, «hold your horses, it’s not going anywhere!» This check out took way too long and I assumed he just didn’t tell me my bag was ready. Anyway, I felt the staff should prioritize and finish one thing before the other. The reason I give Taco Party a 3 is because — The food actually is really good, the bakery was good, but the staff struck me as rude. I would like to give 4, but again the tacos are too small and all tortilla. The bakery is too expensive for most people too. I think they should really start some combo type deal. Like two tacos plus one order of nachos or drink and vice versa. That would be cool.

I’ve never been a big fan of tacos but daaaaamnnn are these tacos good! Like exceptionally good. Taco Party indeed. Service was great too. Everyone was cheerful and friendly. Outdoor seating is also a plus since I tend to have my canine homie with me, and he was geeked that they had some complimentary snacks available for him. Thanks Taco Party!

I highly recommend trying all of their tacos on the menu($ 4.00 each or get two plus a side for $ 10.) I especially loved the chorizo ground setian. Spicy and balanced. My other favorite was the sweet potato taco. It’s sprinkled with a Japanese sauce, a sugary worcester like sauce that makes your whole bite sing. I’m not vegan, and this meal made me forget meat’s name. And I loved the day old donuts at $ 1.50 piece.

Wow, delicious! Healthy awesome food, and some of the tacos you’d never know were vegan. The owner is awesome, so is the staff. friendly and inviting and great customer service. Tried a variety of tacos which were all transcendent. Highly recommend the nachos — good and spicy, just like my attitude! Oh yeah, PS-make sure you try the peanut butter cookie — it’s unbelievable.

WOW! stopped in this morning to check out the new ball sq spot– as a local gluten free eater I was excited to see Taco Party join in on the gluten free market along with the other neighborhood restaurants! I have never had such a delicious gfree donut– only tried the Horchata flavor but they had one other that was also gluten free. am very much hoping they expand the gfree options to their other flavors! since it was mind blowingly delicious and moist! the inside is very colorful and inviting– and the cashier was friendly and helpful in navigating the options :) cons– a bit expensive($ 3) for a donut that is smaller than the other vegan donut options. would love to see an increase in size to match the others at the same price, or else a reduce in price for the smaller option. Will definitely be back to try out the tacos!

Well I guess this is basically the taco truck but a store front & Sabertooth bakery joined them. I guess it’s a shame they don’t have more options. I don’t like spicy so that already rules out two of the options they have. I also have issue w/tofu so that rules out another. You have to make sure that if there is anything you don’t like to tell them, but even when you do they miss mentioning how a taco has that topping although not listed on their menu. Their menu isn’t located in the best of places either. Their guacamole is tasty but funny how you have to pay extra for it. I mean who eats a taco w/out guacamole, that’s just silliness.

Taco Party is my new neighborhood go-to. Not because it’s great meatless food, but because it’s great food in general. And to learn that they’ve teamed up with Sabertooth Vegan Bakery? I couldn’t be more thrilled! We first had a sampling of Taco Party at Nighshift Brewing in Everett a few months ago and I’ve kept thinking about it since. The second I heard they were opening a shop in my neighborhood, I ran over the next day and was met with the same great tacos I remembered. The shop is small but colorful and full of personality. Nothing beats a great, filling, tacos lunch at under $ 10. I come from California, the land of easy to find and amazing vegan, vegetarian, anything you can dream of food, and these could easily hold their own with the best Mexican hot spots in San Francisco. The menu here is perfectly small but never boring. I like to mix and match various taco styles since I don’t have any dietary restrictions, but there are gluten-free options for those that have that concern. The regulars fillings are Chorozo Seitan, Chimichurri Tempeh, Fried Tofu, Sriracha BBQ Jackfruit, and today I saw something with Portobello… regardless, I never met a taco here that I didn’t like. I usually don’t like tempeh at all and find it to be dry and crumbly, but I tried it today and to no surprise, my opinion has changed. You certainly don’t have to be vegan or vegetarian to like these tacos regardless of what’s in them. It’s easy to forget there wasn’t meat in there to begin with really. The guac, which appears to be on the plain side with no tomatoes in sight, is flavorful, bright, and delicious. Taco Party has also teamed up with Sabertooth Vegan Bakery at this storefront, which leaves you with killer donuts, cupcakes, cookies and more to finish off your meal or to take on the go. Sabertooth’s owner, Evie, is really knocking it out of the park with her creations. We shared a mini Horchata donut(GF/Soy-Free) and a Peanut Butter Choco Chip after lunch and wow! Both were tender, moist and pillowy, without being overly sugary and too sweet. This evening I’m thinking, «I wonder how that Rootbeer donut tastes. And what about the Lemon Poppyseed cookie? Or the Hibiscus donut? And the coconut?» I just want more! Just as we were about the leave for the day, the store filled up with people and I was so happy to see this business embraced by the neighborhood as they should be. I’m not surprised. With food this good, the crowds will keep coming. Stop by and give them some love! If you’re curious about either business, walk through that door and try both. While the combo of Mexican tacos and donuts doesn’t immediately bring about those thoughts of magical food bliss, it really is a match made in heaven. This brick and mortar shop is new, so follow both businesses on social media to keep up with business hour changes and new offerings.
