Amiee was an absolute dream to work with! We had tasted food with several caterers, and as soon as we found her we knew we had found our match. The food was delicious, and many of our guests told us how impressed they were with it! Amiee also served as our day of coordinator, and her attentive and calm presence was so helpful on our big day. I trusted her implicitly and she and her team went out of their way to make everything beautiful for us. Look no further!

We were completely overwhelmed looking for a caterer for our St. Helena wedding. Catering companies were quoting exorbitant fees and felt incredibly impersonal. We were searching for a company that would be the perfect fit for the laid back, fun, and intimate wedding we were envisioning.
Amiee and her team were exactly that. From day one Amiee took the time to meet with us and understand what kind of event we were trying to plan. As other reviewers have said, she truly loves what she does and takes great pride in her work. As we continued working with her we knew that we were in great hands, and we fully trusted that she would take care of all the details — we came to find that this kind of trust is invaluable when planning a wedding.
The food! Amiee and her husband Peter are the most amazing chefs. We were hoping for ‘good food’ and they gave us the most amazing feast, far beyond anything we could have imagined. Steak and chicken cooked to perfection, fresh vegetables, delicious sauces… guests are still raving about the incredible cheese platters and organic beef slider appetizers! It was by far the best wedding food we have had (and we’re not just saying that because it was our own wedding!). We were so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food, and so thankful that Amiee helped us create the wedding of our dreams.
Amiee coordinated our rentals, linens, flowers, and caterering for a 140 person wedding. She brought the entire event to life from start to finish, and took the time to consider the smallest of details. We would 100% recommend her for any wedding or event as she made all the difference making our day absolutely perfect.

Overall Aimee and her staff are the best caterers I’ve ever seen in action. The food, service and extra effort are all exemplary. On your wedding day, you do not want to be worrying about anything, and Aimee will do her best to make sure everything runs smoothly During our planning process, she helped us think through every detail, and even helped with several things beyond the scope of what normal caterers would do. From the first time we met her at a tasting, we liked her. We have recommended her to every person who asks us for advice. Why is she so amazing?
1– Planning: Aimee was extraordinarily helpful planning the event. She came on site for our walk through, helped us evaluate layout, linens, flowers, etc. etc. As a Sonoma native, she is familiar with most of the venues and can provide inside knowledge on the best way to setup a dining/​dancing space. At our venue, the Garden Pavilion, she had some great tips on where to setup the bar, cocktail tables and other furniture we used. In fact, she helped order and coordinate the deliver of additional decorations for us! She was highly responsive throughout, and when we decided on a menu change a week before the wedding she was able to accommodate it. Aimee also worked with us to craft a menu that addressed the numerous dietary concerns of our bay area guests without compromising on taste or quality (vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, no nuts, lactose free, etc. etc.) With the wedding days away, it is wonderful to know that your caterer is world class and will handle food and service without needing to bother you.
2– Service: Aimee’s staff are courteous, well dressed and very polite. A small army of helpers descended on our wedding (note that Aimee will help recommend how many servers and other helpers are best for your wedding). They were fantastic. Immediately following the ceremony we were offered champagne, delicious appetizers were brought out to guests who were able to get drinks from servers or at the bar. Throughout dinner, the servers were invisible, yet somehow plate after plate of excellent food and wine kept appearing before us. The service understands when toasts are being made and will not interrupt. Overall Aimee has done a great job building a team of professionals that know how to do weddings.
3– Food: We never thought our wedding would be one at which the food would be a topic of discussion. Our initial plan was to find an OK caterer and be done with it. When we tasted Aimee’s food, we reevaluated our priorities. We did six tastings, and Aimee was the last. By the time we arrived at her house, we had already done 3 tastings that day. Aimee won us over within ten minutes. From the divine duck crepes to the extraordinary summer squash salad with homemade raisins, we were delighted. Let me explain further just what it is that sets Aimee apart from the others. Many event caterers will serve you food that is perfectly reasonable– passable food with high caloric value that will fill up your guests and satisfy their basic need. That kind of food will taste like a hot-​pocket or some sort of microwaved, previously frozen dish that you could buy in bulk at costco. You can have that kind of a wedding, or you can taste the divine with a pro who really knows how to create a symphony in your mouth. Aimee is a Sonoma native and a great chef– she understands what is in season and will make menu recommendations accordingly. Her ingredients are locally sourced and incredibly fresh. Everyone was happy, from the vegans to the carnivores.

Sweet Pea & Ricotta Ravioli (¹⁰⁄₁₀): *Personal Favorite* Tarragon Cream Sauce & Parmesan Crumb (Vegetarian)
Grilled Flank Steak (¹⁰⁄₁₀): Fresh Parsley Pistou & demi glaze (Gluten free)
Roasted Fingerling Potatoes (8.5÷10): Crème fraîche & Garlic chives (vegetarian & gluten free)
Bottom Line: We never expected to get so many complements from our guests about the food. If you are getting married in wine country, you owe it to yourself to give Aimee a call and taste her food. You won’t be disappointed.

Amiee and her team catered our wedding of 175 people at BR Cohn this June (2015) and did a truly outstanding job.
I’ll start with the food: the food was knock-​out. Our guests and my mother (a French-​trained chef with a very picky palate) were all blown away and have written us follow-​up notes since commenting on how good the food was. Amiee crafted the menu for us, and we basically went with all of her recommendations. Everything was spectacular, from the lamb lollipops and Liberty Duck Buckweat Crepes (passed appetizers) to the grilled flank steak with parsley pistou and saffron fire roasted chicken (mains)…just to name a few things from the menu. Oh, and the summer squash blossom salad! Because my mom is a chef and very… particular… I definitely had some anxiety about the food in general in advance of our wedding. The food just could not have been better and we both could not have been happier.
Amiee and her team did a particularly impressive job when you consider that BR Cohn is a difficult venue to cater. There are three sites, one of which is a short car-​ride away from the regular site. Amiee and her team coordinated all of the rentals, making sure everything was where it needed to be at the right time.
Throughout the process, Amiee worked hard to answer questions quickly and work through changes to the schedule /​rentals /​etc. Amiee is talented, really sweet, and genuinely wanted to make our day perfect for us. Amiee and her team delivered — our day was perfect and we are so happy they were a part of it.

When I started my wedding planning toward the end of last year, I researched different wedding planners and caterers and I was getting very discouraged by the huge costs. We were planning a small intimate wedding for around 50 people and had our eyes set on wine country. I wanted to find a wedding coordinator who was familiar with the area. I reached out to several companies online requesting quotes but Amiee was one of the quickest ones to respond. She wanted to know all the details of how I envisioned that perfect day and I directed Amiee to my wedding Pinterest board. She got back to me with a proposal and pricing and I was not only impressed by the quick turnaround but by her great attention to detail. The proposal included catering for the reception, all floral arrangements for the church ceremony and reception as well as bouquets and boutineers, complete décor for the reception, and day of coordination. Amiee provided a very reasonable price and we decided to move forward with her.
From our initial email correspondences to meeting in person and doing site visits, Amiee was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was always very attentive to our likes and dislikes and also made great recommendations.
It was not until the actual day of the wedding, which was just July 3, that everything I had ever dreamed of for my wedding came true. From the floral arrangements at the church to the most beautiful reception I have ever been too, I could not have been any happier. The overall theme I wanted achieved was a very intimate and romantic setting with candlelight and light pink floral everywhere and Amiee and her team went above and beyond that. Not to mention that the food was absolutely delicious and all the guests would not stop raving about it.
I would recommend Amiee D’Maris to anyone looking for the most stress free experience when planning a wedding. You would not be disappointed whatsover with the outcome. I can honestly say it was pure perfection!

Amiee D’Maris and her team did a wonderful job planning my wedding this year. Amiee was lovely to work with – she responded right away to my first email, traveled to our out-​of-​the-​way wedding venue to meet with me, and helped to bring my vision of an intimate and rustic-​yet-​elegant event to life. She listened carefully to what I wanted, from the general mood to the key details (fairy lights, mercury glass) and was able to interpret my more vague desires («Jane Austen flowers») beautifully. She also offered suggestions and raised issues that I hadn’t considered – these details, such as managing the somewhat complex ceremony flow and the guest parking, made the wedding day run a thousand times more smoothly than it would have otherwise! Throughout the planning process, she was kind, flexible, and very responsive to my needs as well as my emails. She worked with us to deliver what we wanted within our budget. And on my wedding day, my husband and I were able to walk into a beautifully decorated space that Amiee and her team had created for us. She even worked with my mother to add thoughtful last-​minute touches, such as heat lamps that suddenly became very important to our guests’ comfort when the fog rolled in. Perhaps best of all, the food created by Peter and his team, from salmon and short ribs to quinoa and kale, was incredible – more than one guest told me that it was among the best «wedding food» they’d ever had. Thank you, Amiee and team, for all you did to make our day so very special!

5 stars for communication alone. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, especially if you look into venues that come with nothing but the space as I did. Amiee was the fastest vendor to respond (some didn’t respond at all) and with the most reasonable pricing! Ultimately my fiancé and I decided on a venue that had in-​house catering, but I will remember Amiee for any future catering needs. I was so impressed by her responsiveness and communication skills. I didn’t try any of her food, but I am sure the other reviewers are spot on.

Here is the trick when you hire someone to help you with your event; you want someone who understands what you want but is so good at what they do you can relax and trust in that person so you can concentrate on your guests. Amiee and Peter will do that.
My sister had used Amiee and Peter for her wedding and so I asked them if they would consider doing something much smaller, my Halloween party, of course was the answer and I cannot express how happy I was with them, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Amiee helped me plan the menu, offered suggestions and really listened to what I wanted. She suggested a bartender for my party and at first I thought that seemed a bit much but then I thought of us making drinks for everyone and took her up on the suggestion and now I don’t know if I would have a party without Amiee at the helm. The party was perfection and Peter did an amazing job with cooking the most delicious food. They showed up on time, hired great people to help them, very friendly with my guests and we stayed within the budget I wanted.
I would absolutely recommend them for any size event you are thinking about and I have already booked them for our 2^nd annual Halloween party 2015.
