Tan

Tan gives you lots of great options for getting your tan on. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. My absolute favorite is the versa spa. Quick and very easy if you are going out that evening and want some instant color. The price is very reasonable and worth every penny.

I come to tan fairly regularly. The owners are very nice and helpful. The staff has always been good to me. I have not heard an unkind toward anything or anyone. I’ve been coming since they opened. The beds are clean. The bulbs are changed regularly. I always get a great tan!!!

I have used many salons over the years, even worked in one years ago. I have read some pretty negative reviews here and can only conclude that someone had a personal axe to grind.
Tan has advanced beds, very up to date, the facility is very clean and the have a small but adequate supply of products.
The front desk staff are well informed, professional and very helpful. I found nothing to complain about. Great facility.

Did my first tan here yesterday. I bought a 30 day package for $ 55. We are headed to a beach/​pool vacation in a couple of weeks and I needed a base tan before we go. Used the standup bed for my first tan. Staff was pleasant, showed me how to use the bed, said hello and goodbye (this can be rare in Santa Cruz), answered a couple of questions I had and even greeted the guests who came in behind me while she was getting me set up. The room I was in appeared clean. The bulbs in my machine appeared to be in working order and not old. The selection of products was not what I am used to in a tanning salon. They could offer a wider selection. Although their selection did cover a fairly decent range of prices from around $ 45 to $ 90. That is a plus. I would recommend this place based on my experience thus far. I will be going in several more times before our vacation and also trying the spray tan services. If my rating or experience change, I will provide an updated review. For now, it’s a recommendation.

Wow. Moved to the mountains from redwood city. Not only was tanfastic in redwood city a rip off at $ 18 a tan, but their beds are old. TAN has great reasonable prices and state of the art equipment… And stephanie at the front desk was super friendly and engaging. I found this great new place! Thanks!

This place is great!!. The girls up front are always friendly and the place is always clean. Beds are great quality. I’ve met the owner a couple of times and he’s always been very friendly. Good prices on tanning products also! I’ve tanned at other places and this one by far is the best! A+ customer service! Thank you to the entire Tan staff for always making it a great experience!

To respect the manager, as an update I’m writing that she has tried to call me several times since I wrote my review. There is nothing to clear up or settle, It is what it is. I’m not trying to get a refund.

The Ultra Bronze bed is amazing and you will not burn. I regularly go here even though there are other other places more convenient to my work or house because of the quality and cleanliness of their beds

This place is better than any tanning salon ive ever been to! They have many different beds, and they are very clean!!! Wonderful staff. Reasonable prices. This place is the best. I used to go to Paradise tanning, but they don’t even compare to Tan.

As others have said, beds don’t tan upper body. The owner and his wife need to learn how to talk to customers, but their staff was nice. Won’t go there again!

This place is so great! It’s always exceptionally clean and the girls are very informative, helpful and super friendly. They have alot of different packages but I bought one month unlimited tanning and it was such a good deal and I got a ton of color! All the beds are great! Overall tan is AMAZING!!! Anyone who is thinking about tanning needs to come here!

This place is awesome! I bought a groupon to try out the spray tan and I’m in love. Great customer service, clean beds, great results. I just bought a month package, definitely recommend it to any newcomers!

Today was the first time I visited this venue and I must say I was extremely impressed to say the least. The service was great, and Anna was very helpful. She described each of the different types of beds you had and what results were expected of each. I usually tan in Monterey but recently moved to Aptos and wasn’t sure about the quality of the beds out this way but I was very pleased with the results.

I have been spray tanning here frequently for the last few years and have been meaning to get on here and tell everyone about this. Before finding TAN and the amazing VersaSpa I tried everything to get a beautiful bronzed glow. I found self tanners that were alright, tried other spray tanning machines, and even paid a nice fee to get custom airbrushed…
I never got the results I wanted until I ended up at TAN one day after Starbucks out of curiosity checking the prices. I bought one spray tan and tried it and I have been hooked ever since. The best part about this is you can have an unlimited spray tan membership so you can be a bronze goddess all year long! The staff is always very nice and helpful and the VersaSpa always delivers a fresh glowing tan!

Staff a 5 star, Beds a 5 star, price a 5star. Best tan salon in Santa Cruz county. Not sure why others had bad experience, but I been tanning their since they opened and and have not ever… had a bad experience. Owner and manager do a great job with their business. Keep up the good work!

I’m so surprised some of these people have had bad experiences at Tan. The salon and beds are always clean, and the staff is always nice and helpful. I’m fair-​skinned but like to tan and the staff have helped me to get the color I want without burning once! That’s a lot more than I can say for some of the other places I’ve gone in town! Good job, Tan!

The best tanning beds in town! Beds including aroma therapy and really nice air conditioning. Plus the best airbrush technician! She is very friendly and gives you a nice, even spray! Definitely a must for tan lovers and newbies!

It’s very clean and the staff was friendly. I am not a usual tanner. But, found myself here prior to wearing my strapless wedding dress and desperately needing color. They have tons of different packages available. I was even able to just purchase one week of tanning.

Although clean and whatnot, these beds did NOT tan me. In fact, they did nothing. The beds have lousy coverage. Yes, they close automatically, but they don’t tan your shoulders or sides! I’ve been to my fair share of tanning salons and I saw the least results with this place.
Also, the staff was NOT friendly. They would just sit there and hardly help you. They didn’t know anything about the lotions or anything.
Not impressed. I’ve been to way better salons.
