Out of all the delis in the South Hackensack area this is hands down the best for a sandwich. I don’t get anything fancy just a turkey and provolone on a roll. Everywhere else around here gives me the saddest excuse amount of meat, and charge me the most money. This place is reasonably priced, only thing is it does take a little long. I would give them 4 stars but I am giving them 5 for the one person who unfairly gave a 1 star review for something that has NOTHING to do with their food.
They do accept credit cards!

The wait can get long, especially during the morning rush. If you don’t have time to spare, then skip this place and pack a big lunch. Pricing is average. Parking is located in the rear. If you do decide to stay, there are six 2-​tops available, so not the best place if you’re traveling with a group.
This morning’s special was 2 eggs, ham and cheese on a roll with coffee for $ 4.

Don’t buy discount certificates for this place or their other place the Pompei Little Market. They just jack up the price on menu items claiming and I quote,“We can raise prices without notice”. Oh yeh, well I don’t have to come here anymore and would recommend others do likewise.
I ordered something from the menu, in this instance, a small (3inX4in) caesar’s salad listed in the menu for $ 2.95 and when it’s served they charge you $ 4.25. I politely mentioned that the menu lists this at $ 2.95, that’s when she claimed the above boilerplate legal disclaimer that prices are subject to change without notice. Now I believe that if this bait and switch is not illegal it most certainly is unfair and would rather not have my food prepared, regardless of how well it tastes, by a place so unscrupulous.

I was not impressed by this place at all. For one thing NEVER come here if you need to be somewhere. They literally take forever to make anything.
I came for breakfast a few times and got an egg, cheese and sausage bagel. It was pretty good, but took too long to make and was overpriced. They also seem to have very little variety. Every time I asked to have mine on a whole wheat bagel I was told that they didn’t have any. Whole wheat bagels at a breakfast place in this area seems pretty standard to me.
One day I came for lunch and ordered a small salad with grilled chicken. One worker microwaved my chicken. Then the lady took the chicken and broke it up with her bare hands before piling it on top of my salad. Not very sanitary.
After that I decided not to go back. I would not recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or any other meal.

I almost don’t want to write this review. I don’t want to share my secret lunch spot with anyone.
The daily specials are faxed every morning to my job and I have my decision for lunch made by 9 a.m.
In the shower, I sit there and try to imagine what the specials will be and what I could possibly be having for lunch.
Their sandwiches, they are all phenomenal. I’ve never had anything not excellent there at all.
They are friendly. They are decently priced. They are always packed, especially at lunchtime.
I know I should keep this lil’ secret all to myself but I just can’t. I must share the goodness with all my fellow Unilocalers.
