After enterprise in south lake Tahoe cancelled our reservations ON PURPOSE so the guy could leave at noon, Nicole at avis was awesome and got us what we needed to get to San Francisco. She was working on multiple rentals all at once with a broken printer and was able to check us out quickly.

Very special shout out to Ryan!!! I was at Zephyr Cove, got info husband had med emergency in Sacramento. Ryan was super busy, but took all my frantic calls and got me in a car to Sacto. Got 911 to get husband to hospital. Now sitting with him there. THANK YOU RYAN. Helped save a life.

Cons: Vehicle I received had the following issues: 1) break lights malfunctioned; 2) high beams did not work properly; and 3) passenger side door would unlock at speeds greater than 65 mph.

We made our car rental arrangements prior to arriving in Tahoe, but the morning we went to pick it up must have been a popular one. With only two people manning the desk, we stood around for about 30 minutes before we were even acknowledged.
Our associate, Ryan, was quite helpful and got us out as quickly as he could. We had a great car and no issues whatsoever. Definitely opt to fill the tank yourself — otherwise it’s $ 8/​gal.
Upon returning the car at night, all of the spaces at Avis were full, so we parked behind the Embassy and dropped the keys in the drop-​box (hidden behind the sign on the counter).

Our car broke down and we needed a rental for a week. The lady that worked at the Avis office, Monique Lopez, was the nicest person I have ever delft with at a car rental agency. She had a car brought down from Reno over night and had us on the road with a great weekly rate the next morning. When we returned a week later, she drove us to the repair shop to get our car. I love this lady, you will too.

Our jeep broke down at the beginning of a 4 day weekend in Lake Tahoe. The crew at Embassy Suites Avis rallied and found us af150 that would tow our boat after everyone else turned us down – celebrity golf tournament in town, etc. Thanks Avis!
