Best place in town to take the kids, even in the winter time. Indoor soccer, indoor swimming for only $ 5, Indoor Olympic ice skating rink. My family and I love going to the park in the summer. Baseball fields, softball fields, jazzercise. It’s. All in one convenient place. Was there today and greeted by the nicest people. Walk to the lake if you want too!

Stateline, NV
Since the City contracted a private business to take over and run the rink, it has improved by leaps and bounds. It’s a bustling, positive place to be. There are many programs available for all ages. If you’re looking to get your child into figure skating or hockey or lessons, this is a great place now.

One of the family trip agendas was to visit the recreational park in South Lake Tahoe. I was hoping not slip on the ice glazed ground. Thanks to the melting ice and freezing wind for making this happen. Ignoring the warnings posted before entering the park, low and behold I slipping and sliding on thin ice. We just took a quick trip here to take some family photos. The view of the lake during the winter time was spectacular! Seeing the beauty of nature here makes it worth stepping out the car to stay warm.
Word of advice. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS POSTED BEFORE ENTERING THE PARK! Or you’ll get acquainted with the ground fairly quickly.

Right by hotel checking out this private beach which says NO pets however it was pretty secluded and un-​gated. We were able to bring our pup in and also there were others that did so too. It was beautiful… where the sand meets the water and where the snow meets the sand. Different layers to give the beautiful contrast. There were also locals who dropped by this private beach as well. Very clean in general and the water was crispy cold and pristine. Definitely worth dropping by. We were able to walk from our hotel which was a great bonus!

Pretty awesome swimming complex. I came in from out of town to go snowboarding, but because of blackout dates, needed something to keep active with as an alternative. So I picked up swimming, and found the pool to be very warm. There’s lots of staff and life guards, so you don’t feel all by yourself. Lots of lanes, and the hours advertised online are accurate.
Shower and locker rooms are kind of meh, but that it’s around what you’d expect from a public swimming pool complex.
Honestly, glad this thing is here.

In the past 4 months the leadership at the rec center has really gotten it together. New lifeguards, timely openings, and most importantly, good communication with the small group of regular swimmers.

by far the best playground for kids. completely gated with a heavy latch door, tan bark 2 feet deep, lawn, pines. my nephew has special needs and is known to bolt… i never worry when we are playing with him and our distracting 3 year olds. no bathroom. weird parking. overall my favorite apart from the beach !

I don’t know where to start. The Parks and Rec complex in SLT is phenomenal. An Olympic sized pool that by summer is outdoors and by winter becomes an indoor pool. You can just drop in to swim but check on hours if you want to do laps. Then there’s the ice arena, the campground right in the heart of SLT where all the action is. I’ve added the web address to this business because, if you’re going to be in Tahoe for a week or even a long weekend; this will have to be one of your destination stops or a daily ritual.
