Love this place! Very helpful and friendly! Especially the DME girl she always goes the extra step to get my Items covered by insurance. All I need in one store!

The staff is absolutely lazy. since 10:30am they told me they are waiting on my insurance to approve a medication. I called back at 5pm and they told me that it hasn’t been processed. After asking why they told me to call my insurance. I informed them that when i called this morning that it was in process. After complaining with the lady on the phone she finally said they were calling my insurance now and they would call.
It was such a simple task, call the insurance to get approval. Finally at 5:28 they said I have approval but won’t be filled by tomorrow,
Complete Idiots.

I was really impressed with this place! It’s really clean and nice. The staff was both friendly and helpful. The pharmacist was very informative and gave great advice. Definitely going here for now on!

I’ve been using Anchor for several years now. They have always been very helpful and timely when working with my Rx’s. I have something that needs to be compounded and that has always been done with professionalism and respect. I would highly recommend this pharmacy.

Really convenient. Everyone is very nice! They are a little slower then like a walgreens but they are a great pharmacy. A little expensive

Terrible service. I called needing an injectable medication for our medical practice. I was literally cut off by the female pharmacist telling me «that is just something I cannot get». I have a funny feeling she felt we were drug seeking! LOL Sorry, any legitimate pharmacy can get anything with a DD form 222. You need to be careful who you think you are speaking to.

Everyone here is really nice, and like a walgreens or longs, they seem to have just about everything. However, they take forever with prescriptions and forget things. The parking lot is pretty small and street parking is limited.

My pediatrician recommended a compounding pharmacy to help get ibuprofen into my sick child. The young lady who answered the phone was eager to place me on hold without listening to my request. Se appeared perplexed that I was calling for a human — once we had that straight, she placed me on hold before I could tell her what my Doctor recommended. She resumed the phone call with «I spoke with the pharmacist and she recommends you call your doctor». In a perplexed tone I said, my Doctor told me to call a compounding pharmacy — can you help me. «No»

I love their new location!
There is a parking lot but most of the time it is filled up.
Refills over the phone are quick and easy and they are really helpful.
Just be sure to call in after your doctor sends the prescription to make sure that they processed it and then they will give you a approx time of when it will be ready.
Clean, multiple registers, even sells alcohol!

I called in the same day my DR prescribed me medicine. I was told to give them 2 hrs. I lost track of time and wasn’t able to pick it up. Next day I go in in the afternoon and they tell me that it’s in there system but they didn’t process it. What the f*ck really. More than 24 hrs that I called and you don’t process it. Fucking ladies all they do is f*cking walk around and chit chat. They need to really do their jobs.

I wish I could give this place Zero Stars. They have horrible customer service. They mess up all of the time on my medication order. The worst part is that no one will say, «sorry» or «we messed up». It would be nice to hear, «how can we help you.» All they are good for is excuses. No one ever takes responsibility. They also lie. They will tell you anything that you want to hear. For example, When you ask if they have the medication in stock and you ask them to check… they say, «yes, we have it hear.» Then, they call you a couple of hours later and say that they need to order it.
They didn’t have my medicine ready and I showed up. Instead of saying, «sorry, we will get up ready for you right away.» They said, «come back in 2 hours.» I decided to wait… I was the only one waiting and they refused to escalate my order since I was already put out because they didn’t have their stuff together.
I hope they don’t get to renew their contract with ACE.
Also, they talk so loud and you do not have privacy. You’re info can be heard by anyone in line. Isn’t there some HIPPA law against that?

Staff were mostly friendly, but not timely in their responding to my vet’s request to have them contact me.
With my persistance, they seemed willing to try and work out the best compound medications for my cat but it is VERY expensive. I’m shopping around…

Horrible pharmacy. Enough said. Looks like pharmacist was straight out of Spruce Elementary.

My first time here and I will keep coming back…
On Monday, I had to drop off a prescription because this pharmacy is the only one I can use being on San Mateo Ace. The pharmacy clerk was really nice. I gave her my information and she inputed it in the system. Told me it would take about an hour. I went to get lunch to kill some time. After about 15m, they called me and said something is wrong with my insurance. They said they left San Mateo Ace a message and they will get back to me when they got news. I decided not to wait around.
I called them today and the clerk told me that they will call San Mateo Ace again because no one called them back. I was on hold for about 10m and everything was squared away. My prescription was ready.
WOW…exceptional customer service!

I suppose the important thing about a pharmacy is that they don’t screw the meds up, but some basic admin and tracking procedures might be helpful for the mail order portion of the business.
And to be fair, everyone has an off day, so I will see what the service is on the next order I have, if it is better, I will update this rating.

This review is for the compounding pharmacy, not the regular pharmacy with which I have no experience. As Tweaty B. below me pointed out, the compounding pharmacy is a separate facility from the regular pharmacy and so it has separate staff– just owned by the same people.
Anyway, this has been nothing but a good experience for me, and it’s hard to find such caring customer service this day in age. I had a prescription for my dog specially compounded there. They were so helpful, with everything from helping me pick out the chicken flavoring of the medication that my dog would like, to communicating all the steps of the process (they had to order an ingredient so explained it would take a little longer, then called once it had come in and the med was prepared).
Unfortunately when the Rx was ready, I was very ill with pneumonia and couldn’t leave my house to go pick it up. I called to ask if I could pay to have it shipped. For $ 10, they overnighted it, made sure it was going out the same day, and even told me I could just mail a check when I get it or come by to pay when I feel better. I insisted on paying over the phone with credit card, but it sure was nice to deal with such friendly and understanding people.
In summary: I highly recommend these guys! Not only can you get any drug you need compounded (and in a variety of flavors if for pets or children), but the customer service will well exceed your expectations. If you have any doubts ask for Ryan– he was such a great help!

I’m giving this place a 5-​star rating because they’re the only local source for my Armour Dessicated Thyroid. They custom compound the prescription for me. I used to have to take 2 tablets; now I only have to take one capsule.
Anchor was the only local source I could find after the San Francisco Walgreen’s started complaining of an inability to fill my prescription of 18 years.
BTW, the Grand Street address isn’t where they do the compounding. It’s done at their NEW COMPOUNDING PHARMACY at:
