Quality Inn & Suites

Staying here for a race and the staff here are extremely nice and accommodating and the room is clean. The staff gave great recommendations for food. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was very nice. I received a suite. I was a little uncomfortable with them giving me a room directly in front of the lobby as I wanted privacy. But the front desk staff was very accommodating, I don’t have any complaints except the location of my room, they were not able to put me anywhere else.

Ok, it’s been a while now. I’ve actually been impressed with how the manager has handled things, he’s been very accommodating. I appreciate that management cares enough to address my issues.

This place was phenomenal. The staff & front desk advocates are just amazing. They go up and beyond to help you with anything that you may need. I would recommend any of my friends or family to come here. Ooo. & the blankets were clean, they had a refrigerator inside the room, the bathroom was clean. Only a few minutes away from they city. I was very happy.

Our Last min trip to San Francisco, found this place was extremely affordable on Priceline… We arrived around 5 am. The front counter clerk was already expecting us. He was really sweet offered us breakfast.
Our room was roomy for two of us. The bed was a little firm… But it’s okay. Everything was perfectly clean and everything worked. The toilet was a little loud. But what can we do.
Anyways the location of the hotel was perfect! Although you can hear the air planes fairly loud, it didn’t bother us. There is a Starbucks 4 mins away, a mall 10 mins away and downtown was about 20 mins away. So we were close enough to the chaos. And far enough as well. If you don’t mind the drive, I totally recommend it.

Very happy with our stay! Always clean! Very comfortable for a budget hotel! Close to highway and airport with very accommodating staff! Thank you to Janmesh for all of his help and suggestions! We stayed 8 nights and were happy with everything!

No problems here. Room was very clean and smelled especially fresh. Not like an ordinary cheap hotel room with musty odors and strong cleaning products. Bed was comfy. Staff was GREAT! Front desk person was extremely friendly and worked fast to get us checked in. we arrived very late. He even let us stay a bit longer after checkout because he understood we came in late. I would definitely stay again if needed. I got a good deal so $ 6 parking wasn’t a big deal to me as others.

The staff — we arrived late and tired and had to get up early for a flight. The desk clerk kept wanting to make jokes and be everybody’s friend. I just want courtesy and a key. Even the family ahead of us at check-​in weren’t so appreciative of his personality. The kids were a little freaked.
This is a hotel that reminds me why I travel with Clorox wipes. Eeks! The bed was hard and the pillows stink of sweat. The sink is in the room — not the bathroom — the room.
Thank goodness it was one night and not much time spent there. Will I seek them out again? Not a chance.
The one saving grace — their airport shuttle is actually a sedan service — included in the price.

The internet connection is actually very good.
Beds are great too, the rooms are clean, great TV with lots of channels. Parking is extra at about $ 6 per day. Late checkout is 12pm which isn’t really that good, but I guess you can find something to do nearby if you have a late flight. Haven’t tried the breakfast.

My fiancé and I stayed here to go visit San Fran for 2 days, mostly here just to sleep. But what made it nice is customer service. Our car battery died and the manager jumped our car for us which was so nice! :)

We only stayed a night but this hotel was very nice!
the guy at the front desk, jamesh?, was so helpful and nice!
the only downside was its right by the airport so hear all the planes, BUT its better than staying in the city. It’s not a far drive to the city at all!
i recommend staying here!

2 ½ STARS
This is a somewhat below average airport hotel and is good only for a one night stopover whilst in transit.
Bumped up to 3 STARS because it has coffee in the room, a satisfactory breakfast buffet, and it’s cheap!

I was pretty disappointed with the place. Sheets had sand all over them and it was really small for the price of the room. I’ve stayed at better motels.

I stayed here for three nights.
It’s ten-​fifteen minutes away from a lot of major SF attractions like Union Square, Pier 39,.
They also offer free breakfast, which is nice.
Free parking (always a bonus)
The front staff were helpful.
Free wifi for the guests.
For the price you pay, it’s a pretty good place to stay.

Pillows are annoying small square and can’t sleep comfortably on them and when the staff ask me if there was anything wrong and we told them about it the guy told us he had rocks outside we can sleep on… What a waste of our money for customer service so rude in replying back to our remark, it is so embarrassing in such a way that he couldn’t provide service professionally

Dear Quality Inn — Can I Just Throw My Bathroom Towel At You? Or Are You Going To Charge Me For That Too?

When I head down for our Training Academies in San Bruno (South San Francisco area — right up against SFO Airport, mind you… *JETS SCREEECH TO HALT, JETS TAKING OFF*), this is one of the few hotels of late that I find are within (under) the State Government Reimbursement Rate of $ 140 for San Mateo /​San Francisco counties.
For this I will give Quality Inn a SOLID 3-​Star Foundation that I won’t go under. BUT… I still have things I wanna bitch about…
THE SETUP
Okay. I understand parking scenarios. The locations (urban vs. suburban). The whole valet /​self-​park scenarios. The charges (outsourced vs. same hotel). I’m NOT a novice when it comes to this kind of expense. I’ve been traveling for work trips for 20 years.
MY ISSUE WITH THIS QUALITY INN
So this hotel-​establishment is located in a fairly sparse, suburban-​warehouse mixed use sort of area that is in the vicinity of SFO Airport. So why the f*ck does THIS hotel need to charge a separate $ 6.60 charge per day for you to park your car?
* It’s in a REMOTE area. [Warehouse & Hotel cluster boonies.]
* Let me repeat that for emphasis: «It’s in a REMOTE area» — meaning, you really can’t GET there unless you have a car, or a shuttle takes you there. It’s NOT like being at the Wyndham or St. Francis in downtown San Francisco where an ABUNDANCE of cabs, munis, BART stations, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. (f*ckin) ETC. are available to take you there /​drop you off /​hike there easily.
* At this Quality Inn, you DRIVE INTO a large open parking lot surrounding the hotel. No fenced off parking. No mechanical arms required to let you in & out once you have your hotel card. No separate booths with hotel attendants, and certainly not an «outsourced» company controlling the parking area.
* Finally, this is not a «shared» parking lot like some hotels sharing space with malls, airports or other businesses where there is a central parking lot for all to use (again, implying in this instance a more congested, downtown area).
No, No. This is fairly remote location where if you want to stay at this hotel, you need to drive yourself their and need to park your car.
THE GIG IS UP
Let’s just say I’m sick of establishments that nickel & dime you for EVERY single line-​item expense these days for what used to be ONE transaction that encompassed every aspect of your stay at room.
And you know what it is? (I know what it is, I just want to see if YOU know what it is). Hotels have started to get «wise» to the fact that if they charge a separate «hotel» rate at the government rate or corporate rate, etc. etc. right up to my $ 140 limit, then they can line-​item out separate charges beyond the $ 140 — such as the separate $ 6.60 (or more depending on other hotels that I stay at that employ the same practice, but sometimes at drastically increased expense — such as many Hilton & Hyatt hotels that charge upwards of $ 25 to Wyndham’s $ 50 daily parking charges) or hotels will charge another separate $ 10 per day charge for WiFi (but which to their credit, Quality Inn does NOT, hence why the overall review rating here is 3-​Stars and not 2-​Stars).
*BEGIN RANT*
F*ck them ALL. When is Wal-​Mart & Target gonna charge us to use their parking lots? Next thing you know, McDonalds & Taco Bell are going staff their drive-​thrus to collect $ 1 for the «privilege» of driving through to grab your $ 1 cheesey burrito.
It’s as ASININE as stores that charge you for a plastic bag to carry the grocery items YOU JUST BOUGHT THERE. [Oh my god. Did I just say that? Is that an insensitive comment about the idiots who buy into that ostensible quasi-​green bullshit? YES. It IS! It’s just another form of fee-​tax collected municipalities to make us feel all warm & fuzzy good.]

THE LOWDOWN
Oh. But a great place to sleep with FREE WiFi — this ALMOST counters my rant (I have to say something nice and try to end on a positive note *cough*).

Quality Inn needs a Quality parking lot.
I booked this place for Memorial Day weekend trip. After checking in and getting to the room we were greeted by this unusual odor once we were settled in. It smelled like a dead rat. I opened the windows and the smell went away. The room was comfortable with a nice view of the side of an industrial building and water canal.
Time to check out San Francisco!
Once we returned heres where the problem with parking occurs. The building has 3 levels. BUT only has parking space in the front of I’d say 50 – 70 cars. There are hotels next door with larger parking spaces but only for their own guests and they issued parking permits. It’s located on a busy non parking blvd. The only option was to park in the industrial park behind the building away from any security or lighted areas leaving your vehicle prone to vandalism and break in. Not to mention a 2 min walk back to the hotel.
But on a better note there was free breakfast while supplies last. The hours are 6−10am. I went in to the dining area and what was left of breakfast. Usually there’s staff restocking food when supply is low. BUT not here! No! There wasn’t anyone attending to their hungry guests nor the front desk at 9am. Is there not enough staff? We just ended up checking out early and getting food at a restaurant. Wahh wahhhhh…

Stayed here for about a week when I first moved up to northern California and was apartment shopping. It basically served as my home for that week.
I opted not to have house keeping done all week, just not my kind of thing when staying in hotels. So I can’t comment on that.
The breakfast was a lot better than I thought and when I did wake up early enough, I enjoyed it. Simple, and decently clean enough for me to eat. Nothing amazing though so don’t get your hopes up. I think they used costco muffins which I’m down for.
The room itself was pretty simple with slow but usable wifi. Decently clean, old carpet, decent bathrooms. Walls and floors are thin. The biggest pro was that there was enough space in the room for all my luggage, boxes, and clothes while moving.
Plenty of electrical outlets also. I hate those rooms that only have one or two to use.
Tip: Don’t book through expedia or other online services unless it’s cheaper through their website. stick with AAA to get a discount.
Overall, this place is decent for a sub $ 100/​night hotel but not the best in the area.

Eh nothing special in this place, just like any other hotel and no I didn’t get to stay in a suite just a regular room, that’s why it’s like any other room you stay.
Pros: They pick you up and take you to the airport for FREE, close distanced to the airport, Free Wi-​Fi, quick check in and check out
Cons: Room were outdated, continental break was a JOKE and had no taste at all (ended up going to McDonald’s across the street), far from Golden Gate Bridge and all main attractions

Pros: fast check in, fast check out; easily access to both the airport and San Fran’s typical tourist destinations (Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, etc.), inexpensive
Cons: I’ve had nicer rooms (our room looked like it had been shaken by an earthquake — lampshade crooked, mirror on wall crooked). It needs some major renovations … and what business in this country still allows smoking inside!?! I wish I knew that before I booked. Disgusting.
