Big Lots

It’s Big Lots. I’m not sure what people are expecting. They buy close outs. Sometimes they have what you want. Sometimes they don’t. Most items are great prices. I buy all my canned foods here.

Big Lots is turning into a big furniture store. What the heck is up with the aisle after aisle of couches? I came to buy toilet paper and ended up with a new table. They use to carry a lot of international food but looks like they are downsizing for more furniture. Prices are still good, but the employees don’t seem to be trained in basic customer service. They look like drones counting down the clock.

They have really good prices, I bought laundry detergent, fabric softener, a few make up products and some electronics. Again prices are great, but the store is unorganized and not sanitary. Items are scattered everywhere, not in their place. The cashiers are not friendly at all. The one that rung me up didn’t even say a single word to me through the entire transaction and she wasn’t even wearing a name tag so I couldn’t bring that up to someone.

Called about a tea I had seen earlier while shopping. Asked if they had the skin detox one since I had forgot to look for that specific one. The girl on the phone wasn’t helpful at all and said they didn’t even sell the brand of tea I was looking for. Which was a total lie because I was there earlier and saw a shelf full of them. She seemed careless and rude as well.

I have to give the store and the customer service 3 stars but I will give the furniture department 5 stars plus. The person who runs it «G» is very helpful and polite. He strives to make your experience a good one. I had to return a couch i purchased and he had it delivered within a few weeks but he always called to inform me of the status, if there was a delay or just an update. I appreciate that. He took the return with no questions asked and just makes your experience a good one. I’ve since bought several more furniture items from the store because of him. I know if I have an issue he will take care of it. Now for the other parts of the store, its always cluttered, everything’s not where its suppose to be, they have 1 maybe 2 cashiers at the front and the lines are always long. They said to call corporate to complain because they cut their hours and staff. The prices are OK I think Walmart are sometimes cheaper. But if your looking for furniture this is your spot!

They are WAY too slow! Whenever I go
I usually spend more time in line trying to check out then I spend in the store looking for merchandise. Their employees are rude and are never helpful. When they have a deal on something, it is always a good deal which is the only reason they get one star in my book.

was a very disappointing experience how this store really provide a shitty service. I dont go very often in this big lots but I thought I will try it since lots of people I run into talk about how cheap the price is but very disappointing and I will not go back. very poor customer service. uts not always the price you pay its how you treat the customers. I guess you cant really ask a better service since ypu only pay cheap prices. I better pay more and have a better service and then I know its worth spending.

Great deals on all kinds of items like oatmeal, Pyrex, candles, furniture, toys, etc.
Customer service lacks, but who the hell cares when you can save that much money!
My only suggestion to you is that you check the expiration dates when buying food because normally it’s about to expire tomorrow, is already expired, or expiring in the very near future.

This store is bass ackwards. The sunblock is hiding in the back of the store right in the beginning of summer. They said they are six months ahead. I dont see Christmas stuff here so now they are lying too? WOW. BOO

I’m always in a good mood once I leave Big Lots. The prices are amazing! I still remember the first time I walked into one and saw all of the lowest priced electronics, bath and beauty products. Couldn’t believe it but there’s always a store that has to sell these brand items cheaper than Walmart and Target. They don’t always have what I’m looking for but when I can’t make my way to the nearest Walmart I settle for Big Lots and I’m usually just fine with my findings. Earphones are always on sale for 5 bucks. I remember when my ipod wall charger broke and I thought I would end up spending like 20 bucks on one at Walmart and then Big Lots had one for like 7 bucks. That made my day! The staff are super friendly too! Gotta love that!
