The nearly-​400 guests who attended Blackbook702’s March 27 première at Mandalay Bay were bombarded with a fantastic array of beautiful models, great food, cupcakes and way-​cool party favors. CEO Glynda Rhodes and COO Mercedes Tan worked furiously to make sure the event went smoothly. A fantastic cupcake «cake» was created for the event by Pamela Jenkins of the Cupcakery In a tender moment, Jim Rhodes, Glynda’s husband, sang, «Happy Birthday» in honor of his wife’s 45^th. The party attracted an interesting mix of moms and dads, car dealership gurus and politicians. The party lasted several hours. Blackbook702 specializes in helping customers plan events, promotions, and mixers.

Business Owner

Glynda Rhodes, a native of Las Vegas, Glynda Rhodes began her career in the hospitality industry. She opened up the beverage department for Fitzgerald’s in Tunica, Mississippi and then Players Island in Mesquite. In 1997 Mrs. Rhodes became beverage manager of Caesars Palace, where she served on several corporate committees, including human resources policies and procedures and the safety committee. Rhodes began working for Rhodes Homes in the marketing department in 2000. She later moved on to the customer service department where she acquired hands-​on experience directly learning the buyers” needs and desires. Soon she was promoted to vice president of customer care. She chairs the Rhodes Homes Charitable Giving Committee. Glynda sits on the board of directors for Public Education Foundation and Opportunity Village
