My kind of public house. Dark, danky, real dart boards, cold beer, tasty bar food. Too dark, smokey for millennia and that is perfect. The«other» so called pubs round here are fancy-schmancy Bennigans restaurants… Need more irish music on the jbox, but they make up for it with live acts… dont go here expecting to smell colongn and barfyme… it smells of a grease pot, smoke filled walls, and pixie dust if the night is movin! It ain’t broke… don’t fix it

Went on a Saturday to have a few drinks and watch the fight. We were helped right away. But then someone turned the jukebox up way too loud. My friend and I could not hear each other speaking. Half an hour later it finally gets turned down. Let’s just overlook the fact that my bottle of beer was warm, the nasty bathrooms, the cigarette smoke. We also watched a group get over served alcohol, the waitress F-bombing a table near us. Shock n awe level F – bombing. And then the really confusing part of the night… two women in their 50’s-60’s(?) came in wearing pajamas. WTH?

I found this place and thought I had found a place to relax and chill. I asked the mail bartender if I could get the hockey game on a TV, and he hooked me up. Then, about 20 minutes later, the female bartender told me I had to go to a table by myself, because they needed all the TV’s at the bar to be on the same basketball game at the request of a drunk regular who was celebrating a private birthday. I then watched that bastard ignore his basketball game the entire night. I went back a few times only to get ignored while the bartenders kissed the ass of their regulars. If you want to stay afloat by catering to the same 20 people, good luck to ya. I have no desire to be ostracized again, and won’t be back. P. S. Hockey fans don’t appreciate bars who don’t appreciate hockey. My only mistake was guving this bar about 5 more tries.

Has potential to be a great place to play pool and drink but bartenders are wet behind the ears and couldn’t make a drink for crap. #1 rule for bars: TRAINURSTAFFONSLOWNIGHTSINSTEADOF A SATURDAY!!! outdated dart boards was another disappointment. It was very smoky and dark. Worst part was restrooms. Small, yuck, no soap, and mine didn’t even lock.

Great neighborhood pub. Typical Irish pub. Locals are friendly. It is a smoking pub so just know that. Great shuffleboard. Bartenders are friendly and the kitchen has good food. I like the vibe.

Molly Malone’s is a sister location to the Molly Maguire’s located on Kuykendahl, owned by the same proprietor. People, it’s a pub. Lower your expectations. No sniveling.

I hate giving 2 star reviews. It makes me feel bad, but this place grossed me out. Being inside a bar that allows smoking inside always makes me sick by the end of the night. I’d rather duck out to a patio and enjoy outside. The drinks were overpriced. The bar tender was very absent minded and didn’t ever remember our drink order. There were old creepy ladies in the bathroom like stumbling into one another and listening to my conversations with my friends. It’s dark, dank and stinky. The lights got turned on early because there were people so wasted that they were throwing up onto the counter and the ground. I couldn’t believe the bartender let them get that wasted in the first place, and then that they just didn’t care throw up was every where. Not letting my friends drag me to this bar again.

Full Townie bar goodness on Louetta. So a little tip, right after you walk in be prepared to dodge to your right. You have to do this because a «served» middle aged lady will try to run you over on her way out right after you walk in. Or… Maybe they just do that for me? I don’t know who the lady is, or even if it is the same lady. I’m not sure if they keep a supply of drunk ladies in the back, waiting for me to walk in or what. But nearly every time I walk in the joint a lady walks out and tries to run into me. I’m pretty agile and she is usually listing to her right, so she is pretty easy to dodge. She usually says something snarkly under her breath as she brushes by you. I think she tried to hit on me once, but she was speaking vodka english, which I did not understand yet that night. Once you have dodged the salvo of ladies they throw at you, you can relax and discover the goodness that is Molly’s. I think Molly’s is a great neighborhood bar. I go maybe 4 – 5 times a year when visiting my parents in Klein. Great for sports, huge banks of TV’s. Plus they seem to like horse racing, so you can go make your bets at the track and come and watch the races here at Molly’s. They love their ‘Stros, Rockets and Texans of course. Klein is a little aggyish, but they’ve let me watch the Horns before. I’m not sure how this Molly’s is related to the other Molly’s in Houston. I want to say this one is separate because it has always been called Molly Malone’s, but I dunno. CAVEAT: As of my last visit they still smoke inside at Molly’s, just a heads up. Pretty good beer selections on tap. They have Pilsner Urquell for me, plus a full bar and a stiff drink. I have been there before when they had a live band, but normally it is just sports and juke box. They have two pool tables, and a great big darts area. They have a pub grub kitchen, that is actually pretty good if you gotta get some food into you quick. Everyone seems to know everyone, and I like that in a bar. I don’t know folks because I’m not in town enough, but Molly’s always makes me feel right at home. So thanks Molly’s!
