Jules G., I am sorry that you had a bad experience at the bookstore. The bookstore is now under new ownership, this happened as of November 15. I noticed your review was prior to that. I hope that you will give the store a try again. We have new faces in the store and are striving to make changes in the store to give customers a positive experience. Please come in and visit us again soon and tell us what you think. We are working hard to make our customers happy. Thank you, Melissa, Owner

You know, i get a bit annoyed when I see negative reviews by people who make an account solely to bash a small business. This little book store is a TREASURE. It’s best not to go in with too firm of an idea of what you’re looking for or you’ll overlook something you never knew was missing from your life, and that would be a tragedy for both you and your future favorite book. I believe that ORTS has been around for a while, and due to the sad details of a family illness the owners decided to sell everything– shelves, cardboard castle and all– and close their doors forever. There was such an outcry by their regulars that they finally agreed to sell to two of them, the new owners, Toy and Melissa. So low blows by petty reviewers aside, even if you’ve popped in before, this place deserves a fresh visit; if not for the charming owners and their marvelous, kilted clerk, Mark, OR his magical, pink-powderpuff dog-friend«Maggie,» then for the wildly varied assortment of literary finds priced at practically nothing. In an area populated with nothing but franchise shops and big box stores, it’s so refreshing to see something local and based on simple values, like loving a good read and making it affordable. Give online shopping and corporate bookstores to the others today and go support these guys. TIP: There is an entire shelf of literary classics in vintage binding going for $ 5 a pop, no matter the rarity or condition. That, my friends, is just plain ridiculous. Unfortunately, I told the owners so, and you’d better get there fast because they might have listened to me. Sorry.

Worst customer service ever. I will NEVER shop at this store. I walked in to the store and inquired at the front desk whether or not they carried a particular book series. The woman at the desk looked up at me as if she was very annoyed that I was actually asking her for something and then responded with a loud and rude«WHAT?!» I was slightly taken aback by the tone of her response, but I thought that perhaps she was just hard of hearing. So then, when I repeated my inquiry a little louder, she looked even more annoyed and actually ROLLEDHEREYES at me as she got out of her chair to help me find the book. At that point, I told her«never mind» and decided to take my business elsewhere. Do NOT go to this store unless you enjoy dealing with a rude, miserable woman with a disgusting attitude that has no desire to actually provide customer service.
