Satisfied with customer service. owner of company contacted me after some miscommunication and visited my home personally to inspect. Cleveland and his team are professional and friendly. All homeowners need a service providers that treats their house like their own.

We have used other firms in the past and they were all ok. Was looking for someone new that could come out quickly and had a good reputation. Turned to Unilocal for help. Holiday Termite and Pest had a bunch of 5 star reviews. And everyone explains in their review that Cleveland, the owner, is exceptional and take a different approach to protecting the home from insects. It’s all about prevention and reducing ways for insects to invade. He walks you around the property and points out any problem areas, explaining why they’re problematic and how he is going to be able to help. Does not try to upsell on unnecessary services. Tremendous customer service. I was not disappointed and the reviews are all accurate about how quick, convenient, professional and friendly Holiday is. Definitely recommend.
I should point out I waited about 1 month to post this just to see if the work done made any impact and it definitely did.

Whoa! Talk about integrity. I thought I had need for routine preventive treatment. Upon coming to view my property and listen to my concerns, Cleveland told me he wouldn’t spend the money and it was unnecessary. He knows my neighborhood (Fairlington) and has an idea of what kind of bugs are problems and why.
I never expected this zero cost outcome.

Today Cleveland stopped by to do a thorough pest inspection. We were not having any issues but wanting to do preventive maintenance of my mother’s town home. He showed up on time, dressed and conducted in the upmost professional manner, my mother was very impressed, took his time inspecting the townhome no charge and informed her that she currently didn’t have any pest issues and therefore didn’t need service. It’s a relief to know that there still are companies out there that have integrity and honesty which is so much appreciated. We’re so glad we called Holiday Pest Control and you can be assured we will recommend them and also use them in the future if we have any pest issues. This review is based solely on the inspection process as it turned out we did not need treatment.

My first experience working with a pest control company, didn’t know what to expect. Have had some pretty bad first time experiences with in home services before (e.g. carpet cleaners).
However, Cleveland and his crew were polite, knowledgeable, and exuded a polished and confident vibe that made me feel at ease. My issue was a mouse (or mice) and they were able to school me on how they travel, live, eat, everything.
Holiday’s price, warranty, and follow up policies are great. In, out, quick … very good first experience.

Preventive Termidor HE liquid termiticide treatment to our colonial three-​story house:
Researching (and choosing among) the various ways to professionally treat a home for termites is frustrating and time-​consuming for a lay person like me. After hours and hours of research, and talking with several companies, I concluded that the so-​called «bait» system of prevention was not to my liking.
It then became an even bigger chore to find a trustworthy and reliable company to do a Termidor HE liquid treatment around the foundation of our three story colonial home. [The drilling part of the application process is nowhere near as invasive as I had thought; the value of the preventive treatment far exceeds the slight amount of drilling of patio slabs, concrete steps, etc. And they fill those holes with a liquid concrete or asphalt filler that fills the small holes as good as new.]
I met with several companies, and researched many more. One company told us we had a small termite presence in front of our house; my neighbor had actual termite damage inside his house. We knew we needed to do a preventive treatment. Cost was not an issue, since termite damage can be a huge uninsured loss, and I do not want to be «penny wise, pound foolish.»
There is a high level of just plain TRUST that has to go into selecting a termite company. Locally owned and operated Holiday Termite & Pest Control was the only company with whom I felt totally comfortable, so we arranged a Termidor HE treatment. Company owner Mr. Dixon was prompt, professional, and thorough when we met with him. He satisfactorily answered all questions. His technicians who did the treatment were equally professional, prompt, and (I think) thorough.
The very complimentary reviews of Holiday Termite online and on Angie’s List are deserved. So far as I know, we got the best possible preventive treatment for termites from Holiday. Although we are only now a week since the treatment, we have nothing but the highest regard for Holiday Termite, Mr. Dixon, and the technicians who did the treatment around our 190 linear foot foundation. All holes made in mortar, concrete, and asphalt were filled in to our satisfaction, and the drilling (in four separate places around the house) were only minimally invasive. No one but us will even notice where they drilled and where they then plugged the drill holes.
It’s important to me to have a small, reliable, local company do work such as this. Holiday Termite is small enough to really care whether or not we are happy. They’ve been around for more than 20 years, and I suspect their longevity has something to do with the fact that others have been pleased with their work. And, although it was not a factor in our decision to choose Holiday, I can also say that their price was the lowest we found. I look forward to working with them again in the years to come.

Cleveland, the company owner, provided exceptional service! He was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful in every way possible. He went above and beyond with his customer service and treatments, as well as provided great follow ups and check ups as needed. I highly recommend holiday termite & pest and vouch for their high standards in customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Summer 2014 update: Cleveland and his company have been exceptional in terms of service. They came back to reinspect any problems and guaranteed they will remediate any issues without cost. I love their customer service and professionalism. I even used their services for my second house. Highly recommend their services!

I had the pleasure of having bald faced hornets make a nest in the tree right in front of my door. Holiday Termite and Pest Control came and began the extermination procedure that same day. They were very friendly and worked very efficiently. I was very pleased with their work and their flexibility. I highly recommend their services.

Wh– wh-​wh-​what’ Wasps? On my deck? Oh no, they have to go. I found Holiday Termite on Unilocal,accessed their super-​user friendly appointment scheduler on the their website, picked a time that was convenient for me, received a confirmation call and 24 hours later, I am wasp-​free. Well, on my way to wasp-​free living anyway.
Seriously, great customer service all the way around from Holiday. I loved scheduling my appointment online and the confirmation call the next day was a nice touch. They even put me first on the appointment list because I requested early — woo hoo.
The technician, Raymond, called me when he was on the way and gave me his estimated ETA. He was well-​dressed, polished and professional. He was friendly and tolerated my endless questions. He told me what he was going to do and what to expect. He even made sure I was out of the flight path so I didn’t get stung. So, thanks for that Raymond.

I’ve used this company for a couple months for home pest control. They are very easy to work with and always show up on time. Their staff are very knowledgeable about bugs. So far the results are pretty good. I can’t say that they’ve eliminated all bugs from my house but the number has significantly reduced.

– My wife is home in VA doing all the prep for selling our home. Termites were found in the wood behind our house and in order to close we had to take care of them. We read reviews and decided to call Holiday.
–Best Decision I’ve made in a while. The owner came out the same day. Sent his best guy to do the treatment for our yard.

Ok made an appointment over the weekend on Friday evening at 7:30 pm. Though they were booked up all on Saturday whey were able to accommodate everything that I wanted for an early Monday morning appointment between 8 and 10. They got their right around 9:10 which is pretty much right in the middle of that window. The person I worked with was an excellent rep, and explained how our Yellow Jacket situation would be resolved over the next 72 hours. With the pricing right where we expected, I was delighted to have our yellow jacket problem resolved so quickly. They were in and out in under 20 minutes and accepted credit cards, which is all you can really ask.
I really think they are the best option if you want quick and reliable service.

I called Holiday Pest Service because I was afraid that there was a dead mouse behind my refrigerator. I called first thing in the morning on a Thursday, and the President of the company came out that very same morning (they were very sympathetic to my distress). Both guys were very clean cut and professional (I was impressed). They assessed my situation in great detail… more detail that I thought was possible when planning a pest control strategy. They laid traps, patched a crack in my HVAC where they thought the mouse entered, and gave me some landscaping tips to discourage mice from thinking my backyard was their restaurant.
As it turns out, there wasn’t a mouse behind the fridge; it was dead in the walls, but the reps from Holiday told me how I could avoid ever having a problem again! It was by far the best experience that I have had with a pest control service or a contractor of any service that I have had in my home. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is because I haven’t had the one-​week follow up appointment yet, but I am sure that they will meet all of my expectations (if the first meeting was an accurate indication). I am seriously considering keeping them on-​call when I rent our my place. I recommend Holiday without reservation; you won’t be disappointed. If you are, the President, Cleveland, is super customer focused; so you won’t be for long.

I’m not normally the «leave a review kinda guy» but I had to echo previous kudos for Holiday Termite & Pest Control. Thanks to previous resounding reviews I contacted them to conduct a home inspection of my property since I am refinancing a home loan. Not only was the engineer exceptionally punctual and knowledgeable, he also offered free advice and recommendations to ensure that bug problems are preempted via preventative maintenance that I can do myself… no sales pitch for unneeded services, etc. I was immensely impressed with the integrity & candor of this company and I’d gladly recommend them to anyone hands-​down. Holiday Termite and Pest Control came out to my house to treat the property for an ant problem. The rep (Cleveland) was outstanding and did a great job explaining everything we needed to alleviate the problem. He was on time and worked quickly to treat our home. He did not oversell us or pressure us into signing up for any services we didn’t need.
I would highly recommend the company to anyone who asked.

Somehow we developed a roach problem and after attempting to take care of it ourselves we finally gave Holiday Termite a call. The tech was super professional and on time. Their warranty really holds its value — they kept coming out until the problem completely went away.
One note — sometimes making an appointment with them is super frustrating (I was on the phone for a solid 30 minutes with one representative trying to schedule me an appointment… legit) but don’t let this deter you — the service is worth it.

We just moved into our house in Kingstowne and the previous owner provided an Orkin pest report done a few weeks before we closed… that tech said no signs of any pests (none…not a single one). We move in and the place is infested with spiders and crickets, including the ever present spider-​cricket. No joke those things are ridiculous.
But those pests weren’t the reason I contacted Holiday. About 2 weeks after we moved in, we noticed a couple ants here and there in kitchen near the pantry. No big deal, right? Put out a few traps from Home Depot and problem solved. Not quite. Instead those traps brought out hundreds of ants. I was thoroughly grossed out and immediately started researching pest control companies.
Holiday popped up with a lot of great reviews so I went to their website to research some more. Everything looked great so I filled out an online request for. Mind you, this was 8:30pm on a Sunday. By 9pm I had an email from Cleveland saying they had an opening between 8−9am on Monday. What?! Who answers emails on a Sunday night let alone has immediate availability? This company… that’s who.
Antwain showed up at my house precisely at 8am. I showed him where my little pests were congregating and then we started the search for the nest. Antwain is the bug whisperer. He found the nest in no time, quickly treated the area and then proceeded to treat the rest of my house: kitchen, all of the bathrooms, laundry room and HVAC closet.
The price was completely reasonable especially since it comes with a 90 day warranty that includes additional treatments if the first treatment doesn’t work. PLUS a free 10 day check up to make sure the treatment is actually working.
There really need to be more companies like Holiday with employees like Cleveland and Antwain.
