Found William here, went due to my ps3 not reading any discs. His charge was fair considering how much Sony charges. After installing a new laser and my ps3 still not reading discs, he asks to keep it a while longer to further diagnose what the problem might be.
After he resolves the issue, tests my original blue ray laser to ensure that it is still functional. Once he determined that my laser was still good, he cut his charges in half and had the console ready for me the next day. He was professional, prompt, fair, and … awesome! :)
Definitely will refer friends and family to him.

Not only did William get my PS3 up and running back to its original condition, he did it quickly and courteously.
I hope that I won’t have to use his services again, but if I do, I’ve got a good feeling that I’ll be please with the results!

After reading the great reviews on here I contacted William but after two emails and a voicemail (during the listed business hours) I’ve heard nothing back from him/​them.
While someone might say it’s unfair to review a business I didn’t use, I think it’s fair to evaluate it based on hearing nothing back from him in over two weeks. It’s entirely unprofessional to ignore contact attempts. Maybe he’s out of business now?

Despite having left numerous emails and voicemails to both this company and the other company he works for, I’ve never heard a word from anyone to this day. Highly unprofessional. I took my business to XModdz who were always prompt with responding throughout the process.

William is good at what he does. Very experienced in PS3 repairs. Three stars because we had some logistical issues in our business, but in the end it worked out. I recommend you try him out instead of sending your system to Sony.

my ps3 had the yellow light of death on thursday. called him up same night, dropped off my ps3 and by saturday it was done. this guy is a professional, fast and good at what he does. I would recommend everyone who has a broken ps3 or xb360 to get repaired by him. thanks man

I discovered William through Unilocal after my PS3 suddenly and unexpectedly called it a life. When I dropped it off at his place, I was a little surprised to learn he was the «kid» in the basement. But after further thought, I realized this was genius… at least for the consumer. Being at home keeps his costs down for us, and also gives us the option to drop our PS3s off on a Sunday, as I did.
As for the repair, William replaced the power brick, but it crapped out when he tested it during my first pickup attempt. A few days later, I picked it up for the second time and this time everything worked great. It’s been a few weeks now and I’ve had many hours of play without any issues.
I was happy with the work that William did, even though it took two attempts to get it right. His price was very fair and kept me from having to go out and throw down a bunch of money on a new system. I’d highly recommend Sol Tronix Repairs to anyone who had the misfortune to have their PS3 kick the bucket too soon. And there are a lot of you. Believe me… Sol Tronix is not hurting for PS3 repair work right now. Until Sony starts making quality products again, William is going to be a busy guy.

William Loch did a great job with my ps3 repairs. He told me my laser was done and he ordered one for me and fixed up my ps3 in a few days. Solid service and solid customer care. I’m glad to find someone close to me and not send this off to Sony or anyone place. Anyone local in northern Va should contact William he’ll fix your system up.

Didn’t want to give any more of my money to Sony, especially since my warranty had «magically» just expired, and my laser crapped out on me. William repaired my ps3 in 2 hours, and I was able to pick it up the same day. Plus he was $ 50 bucks cheaper than sony.
Don’t give anymore money to Sony. Use local buisness that is faster, cheaper, and cares about their clients.

William Loch is the man! My PS3 stopped playing bluray movies and games. Googled searched them and checked them out! William is very imformative and works to get the job done right! Their cost to replace the laser was very affordable but the services is much appreciated! Thank you William!
