I love Tippy’s Tacos. Whether we have the dollar tacos on the weekend, dive into an enchilada meal on special, or pic up the build-your-own kit to take home, we always leave happy and full. The price is right and the food is great. As I understand it, Tippy’s is a chain, but I’ve only eaten at the Springfield location. It’s a great place for a quick and tasty meal.

Pretty good for a taco joint. I got the combination dinner which consisted of 2 hard tacos, a beef and cheese burrito, and two crisp tostadas with a queso dip. The ingredients tasted fresh and the burrito was alright. Tippy’s beats out taco bell any day of the week, but with that said everything on their menu is something that you could just make at home.

Looking back at this and I was really generous with the star rating. So much salt like I could have just bought a salt shaker with all the awesome places for tacos around here I have no idea how these people are still in business.

Disappointing. Not authentic Mexican food. Taste and appearance seems like something mass produced from the Costco frozen section.

Chicken is Tyson’s microwave chicken. Soft taco shells are grocery store quality. I use the word«quality» extremely loosely. How can anyone that is Hispanic rate this above a zero star?! It’s almost impossible to screw up Mexican food! Well, this place gets five stars in that aspect. Taco Bell is my last resort for Mexican and it’s better than tippy’s. Pubic school lunch tacos are better. Anything above a 2 star rating for this place is bogus. And I’m still hungry. Left over McDonald’s fries I found in my back seat from a week ago is better than this place. Gracias, but no gracias. Cabrones.

Their tacos are pretty good but be warned: If you take food home, and there’s diced tomatoes on your food, they’ll probably have gone bad by the next day. These guys must be using tomatoes that are just on the brink of expiration cause whenever I have leftovers the next day, the diced tomatoes are turning all white and gross.

I’ve been coming to Tippy’s for years and it’s always been delicious! If you’re looking for simple and tasty tacos, you’ve come to the right place. 4 stuffed hard tacos for about $ 5, can’t beat it.

Great value, very good quality. I recently had some work done on my house and bought the crew lunch from here. Fed four hungry workers for only $ 25(16 tacos and two large sides). Their house made hot sauce had a great flavor as well.

Good for what it is. It’s not amazing or even very good, but it’s good, and better than you’d expect at this price point. The enchiladas were the standout, small but tasty with a very good sauce. The fajitas were good, but they give you very little onions and no peppers. Tacos were good, although a little stingy on meat on one of them. Rice and retried beans were okay, about what most fast food places are like. The salsa is nice and chunky, but clearly out of a jar. One clear downside: what they call a Tostada isn’t a tostada. It’s just a plain crisp-fried tortilla. No toppings at all. That’s not a tostada. It’s just a big tortilla chip. The place is a little rundown, but seemed clean.

Better than Taco Bell but not Chipotle. To be fair Taco Bell is someplace I refuse to eat and have held strong about my hubby not consuming it anymore either. It is also worth noting I am a fan of Chipotle. Ok, now on to Tippy’s, I was not familiar with Tippy’s until relatively recently when I saw something about it and asked hubby about the brand, he got all excited and began having a «back in the day» moment. As a concession we have visited two locations over the past few months. I realize it is a chain but there is a somewhat divey and local feeling that makes it oddly different. It is ok fast tex-mex food.

This is a staple in Springfield, one of my all time favorites spots. If you’re looking for a taco joint look no further. I’ve only been to this and the Hunnington location and I like this one better.

The first time I had Tippy’s was the location in Centerville. I really enjoyed it so when I moved over to Backlick Rd and drove past a Tippy’s in Springfield I had to stop in. This place put out great food and the price isn’t that bad. The refried beans are delicious, the enchiladas are great, the queso is wonderful, the taco’s are great… I don’t think you can go wrong. The customer service at this location wasn’t as nice as the Centerville location though. The girl at the register wasn’t very pleasant and after I gave my order and sat down I waited patiently for my food. Within a few minutes I arrived and I asked where my brownie was. She looked at me like I had three heads. I said I ordered a brownie as well and she just said no and walked away. Not a sorry I didn’t hear you, maybe an are you sure because I didn’t ring you up for one, just no and walked away. For this, I take away one star.

This place has some cheap, delicious tacos and burritos. I love hard shell tacos and they have great ones here! I got meat tacos and a bean burrito, both were awesome. That and a drink cost me $ 7. I noticed that someone else was excited to get a coupon for this place. Would that make your meal free? I mean, the prices are uh-maze-ing. The quality is kind of eh, not good but not bad either. They appear to do a sort of American grocery store style taco, complete with red taco sauce similar to taco bell. Whatever, I like that stuff. Service was incredibly fast. there are lunch specials. Parking is very easy – it’s in a strip mall. There is a steady flow of customers and about 10 small tables, most seating four people at a time. It’s not fancy, definitely not a place to have a «nice» meal, but I would certainly come again if I was already in the area.

Love this place, cheap and yummy. Guy behind the counter is super nice too. Wish I didn’t have to go all the way to Springfield tho.

Ehhh… I came here only because an acquaintance bragged about how«sooo goooood» the food is. Maybe I missed the memo on what days to come because this place was below average. I don’t know, maybe it has to do with the fact that my palate is quite extensive and can taste cheap quality food miles away. I had the special of the day which was a taco salad. The meat was pre mixed with beans and was watered down and bland as hell. I attempted to kick up the taste by adding hot sauce, salt and pepper with no help. The restaurant itself was extremely stuffy and I left out of there sweaty and smelling like corn tortillas. They should look into having a better ventilation system here. Long story short — there is no way I would recommend this to anyone I know. There are way too many good Mexican restaurants in the area for this place to still be in business. I’ll pass and you should too.

THEBEST tacos. I order them hardshell — with extra cheese and tomato. I have been going here since I was a kid. They still have the same jukebox and tables from 20 years ago — which is awesome. Always brings me back. After you take your last bite of the taco, all of the extra meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato(which dropped out during your bites) is waiting for you in the plastic basket. I call this«taco droppings» and it’s probably the best part. Put some of their AMAZING taco sauce on that and eat it with a fork.

After eating here I think I can make this one at home. 1. Go to WalMart 2. Get refried beans in a can and flour burrito shells 3. Spread beans on flour burrito shell, add salt and wrap 4. Serve

I couldn’t resist the cool specialious coupon for almost half off my purchase. I did pick up for tacos, queso, guac and rice. The tacos were good, a nice step above my go-to«Taco-Bell». At about $ 1.50 a taco, you could leave spending about $ 15 a person for lunch. The tacos are small but tasty. They provide a nice spicy taco sauce. Their queso was yummy, the consistency a bit thin but was just right for the ‘tostado’ shells they include. Their guacamole was average, could have used a bit more ‘bite’ or ‘flavor’ for the $ 5.9 dinner portion. It’s a good place for a quick meal, just a step above«Taco Bell» but definitely not a replacement for Austin Grill or Uncle Julio’s.

Came here through a Specialicious deal. For the voucher which only cost us $ 6, plus $ 1, we got a Taco Kit(regularly priced $ 13.00). It’s basically a to-go bag with taco shells and/or tortillas(corn or flour per your request), taco meat, hot sauce, beans, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. And it’s enough to make 12 tacos or(3 awesome taco salads). It tasted pretty good, and for the price was a no brainer! When we’re looking for quick, cheap food, we’ll be back!
