Fox Valley Buick-GMC

I have been going to Fox Valley Buick GMC since I bought my 2014 GMC Sierra. I like having a though inspection and review done on my truck by technicians that know the vehicle.
I have never had service this good. Everyone is knowledgeable and professional at Fox Valley GMC.

I recently took my Buick Verano into Fox Valley GMC, and when I picked it up they were pampering my car beyond what I had expected of them. I purchased a Certified vehicle from this dealership because I knew that they would stand behind the product, and I liked the idea of them having done a thorough inspection and review of the car.
I have nothing but high praise ^ for FVGMC, they always deliver satisfying results and make both my wife and I feel like we are valued customers! I highly recommend Fox Valley GMC to you if you are looking at a new or used car. This is our dealership!!!

Was in for recalls on my Canyon and Jerry in service and the whole experience was a pleasure. dropped off at work and picked up from work all without hassle.

We traded in our old Acadia for a new one and we were very happy with the experience. Everyone we worked with along the way was very personable and professional — the ladies at the front desk, our sales guy Tony, Justin (one of the managers) and Alex the finance guy. There’s a lot of down time while the paperwork gets completed so I meandered through the dealership — it is very clean, the waiting room was very comfortable, the other sales people were personable and other customers seemed happy with their interactions. My husband and I highly recommend Fox Valley Buick-​GMC.

Bill McGee and the the Fox Valley Buick GMC team renewed my faith in buying a used car from a new car dealer. I honed-​in on the GMC Terrain as my next vehicle and they had a very clean 21-​month old Certified Terrain perfectly equipped. The price of the Terrain with the trade-​in made for an excellent over value as well. They were also very helpful on piecing together a few extras to make our purchase an absolute pleasure. I am sure we will be back for our next need. We would highly recommend these folks. They are very thorough and professional. Thank you!

As an update, I did receive a check in the mail today. All in all, situation was handled — communication could be better.

I’m glad I gave this place a chance (I was a customer of the previous ownership which was not great). I came in on a whim to fix my envoy on a Saturday not thinking I would have a chance to get in. Phil the service guy took it in and when the part wasn’t available offered up a car for me to get home. He kept me up to date on repair by email which was perfect for me and I picked it up when promised with the winter grime washed off. Good work. Much different vibe than previous owners.

Great staff and wonderful service. This is the third car I have purchased from Fox Valley ownership (Volkswagen/​Buick) and the customer service and staff gets better each time. Finally, nobody can beat their prices! That is why I will remain a loyal, lifetime customer.

Bought a used car here Friday. We came in with 3 cars we wanted to look at. Salesman Bill looked at the list and told us he would get the one we wanted to see most, a Dodge Avenger and bring it up. Instead he brought up the Hyundai. We test drove it and said we still wanted to see the Dodge. He went away and came back and said it was sold. So ok, we stil want to test drive the Volkswagon. Again comes back and says it’s sold. I said they were on your website today, don’t you update it? He says it’s updated daily, but they just sold today. But guess what? Now it’s Monday and both cars are still listed on the site. And then the best part, we buy the Hyundai and don’t even get it home before the check engine light comes on. Had to bring it back in for service the next day and still don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can you say scam?

If you’re looking for honest mechanics and service reps, keep looking. We had our van towed there and they «fixed» it. We asked for the defective parts and they refused. We drove 7 miles and it stalled again. We had to pay for another tow to get back to the FVGMC to have it fixed. They actually fixed the problem this time but also charged us again, saying that both repairs were necessary. Now our cruise control does not work. We can have it diagnosed for $ 100 an hour, but I do not want to be charged for something they did and I don’t want them repairing my vehicle. We spoke with the manager at FVGMC and got nowhere. We spoke with several reps and 2 supervisors at GM and they said just take it to a different dealer but we would be responsible for all charges and fees. This must be typical since both the dealership and GMC were totally uninterested in our dilemma.

First things first. This is NOT the same business that was previously operating out of this building as St. Charles Pontiac Buick GMC. New owners took over this year and the business is now Fox Valley Buick GMC.
A while back I experienced an intermittent starting problem. Two different repair shops were unable to duplicate the problem, but they charged me plenty for tows and diagnostic work, without solving the problem. I was very frustrated.
The next time the car would not start, I called GM’s roadside service and was towed for FREE under my GM power train warranty to Fox Valley Buick, It took them a while to isolate the problem because it was intermittent, but the bottom line was they took enough time to solve the problem and therefore they fixed it. Thomas the service writer was extremely caring and courteous, and I have to say that I don’t recall ever being so pleased with a dealer’s service department. By the way, there was no «sticker shock» when I received the bill.
This business knows what it is doing. They even had a grand opening open house with food and entertainment. I really feel that I can trust these people, and I’ve already been back for other service, unusual for me because I have never really trusted dealer service departments in the past. I’ll certainly give them due consideration the next time I am looking for a new car.
UPDATE — 2÷26÷16 This above review was written in late 2011. Since then we have purchased TWO new vehicles from Fox Valley and remain very satisfied with this dealership.

I felt a little rushed in the buying process, but I couldn’t beat their price. It was the same car that I had seen elsewhere for $ 2,000 more, even after haggling. They were able to give me a decent price for a decent car. In the end, even though I liked another dealer better, I got the better deal. Good prices for good cars.
