Nissan Of St Charles

I just stopped in today to look at the Nissan Pathfinder. I met with Rony who didn’t greet me with a smile, just stared me down. Didn’t want to talk any numbers and wouldn’t take me on a test drive. Didn’t want any of my info. Since I was looking for a car purchase a few months from now, he didn’t want to talk any further and just gave me his card and told me to call him later. I was there for less than 5 minutes. I have been to multiple car dealerships, this was the worst I’ve ever seen or experience. What a joke! I won’t be back.

Don’t deal with these guys they lied to me over the phone said they would honor at Carmax appraisal which almost all dealers do I then drove 31 miles to have them tell me they would give me $ 2000 less than my appraisal from Carmax basically that tells me they don’t want my business so I’m telling you don’t give them yours!

Honestly you guys, it’s a car dealership. If you don’t come in here prepared to play the game, you can take the bus.
I was in the market for a brand new Rogue, and after driving all over and being lead on a wild goose chase by three other dealerships, I finally settled on a model listed on Nissan’s inventory and scheduled an appointment here. Colin took care of me throughout the process. He was friendly and considerate, and quite knowledgeable about the car. I was very specific about the features and color I wanted in the vehicle, and after having no luck finding what I wanted, I settled on a different color. Colin took the time to ask what I really wanted in the car, and having told him I was originally looking for white, he was able to find one in the lot for me. Guess it was just luck that this dealership had exactly what I was looking for, but I appreciated him taking the time to check.
Of course, there were sales games. I had to convince them to accept my trade-​in, my interest rate right off the bat was outrageous, the price of the car kept going up as my interest rate went down… just some shady practices. Colin kept going back and forth between the «finance manager» in a little glass box behind me and «arguing on my behalf», I suppose. I didn’t meet this guy until the deal was closed — I really would have preferred to speak directly with him, seeing as he was apparently the one making the decisions.
Anyway, after you sign all the papers and shake all the hands, you’re brought over to the accessories guy, Tony. Tony was my least favorite person in this place. While he was very knowledgeable, after speaking with him about window tint and remote start (quoted to me at $ 900), I declined the accessories. He appeared like he took it pretty personally. I told him I wasn’t comfortable making a purchase without researching all of my options, to which he replied «Okay, I understand you wouldn’t want to purchase something from someone you don’t trust, and I don’t know you and you don’t know me, so that’s fine.» Sorry that I’ve… hurt your feelings?
Next you’re off to the finance office, staffed by Kerry, who was also pleasant and helpful. Beware of the bimonthly payment feature they offer — for the service of billing you half your payment twice a month, they charge $ 399. Or, you could just pay twice a month yourself, and save yourself the convenience fee. When I declined this, Kerry called in some other guy to try and convince me to sign up. The hard sell put me off.
Despite all of these sales-​y tactics, I’m pleased with my experience at this dealership. I felt comfortable and in control of the situation. Not to mention, they throw in lifetime free tires (provided that you get an annual alignment, which is regular maintenance anyway) and 3 years’ worth of oil changes. Can’t beat that! Lastly, Colin took the time to show me some features of the car before I left the lot, including programming my home address into the nav system. As someone who had just driven 50 minutes to an unfamiliar location and was now leaving in an unfamiliar car, it was a nice touch. Thanks, Colin!
Again, it’s a dealership. The salesman is going to try to get you to spend, the accessories guy is going to get you to spend, they’re going to play finance games with you, etc. As a consumer with the vastness of the internet at your fingertips, you have no reason to come here unprepared and get played. Do your research and know the fair price of the vehicle, keep a cool head in the finance seat, and you’ll be fine.

Stay away! I can only imagine how many people they scam everyday. First of all their price advertising is misleading… they advertise a ‘low internet price’ but when you come in they say u don’t meet all these conditions. Second, when the sales guy came from a ‘manager’ with a price he automatically gave me a monthly payment for 72 months (not that I asked for it) …that included an extended and ridiculously expensive warranty I never asked for. Third, their fees include all old sealer scam criminal charges incl etching, nitrogen etc… overall third world experience… these people should be out of business and in jail

My initial visit here about a year ago was a great experience. I needed to repair the damage from a car accident that resulted in a damaged front end. I visited a few local shops and this dealer, as I have a Nissan. They were willing to beat their competitors quoted prices and I felt good about the decision, since my car is pearl white — which apparently requires a little extra work. The guys here were super helpful and got the work done in a timely manner.
My second visit here was not as pleasant. I was told it would be roughly 1 hour to fix the issue with my car. After almost 2 hours I hadn’t heard anything, so I called. They said the car would be ready in another hour and that they would call. Fine, they probably got a little busy and lost track of time. However, time went by and still no call. Now we’re 3 ½ hours in, it’s almost closing time and I have to have my car back to get to work in the morning. I call again, to which I’m told to head on over. I live approximately 5 – 10 minutes away. As I’m driving I get a phone call from the guy I’ve been working with all day (Scott, I believe). He said it took a lot longer than expected and he had to keep guys there extra late and rambled on about how he was missing out on family time. I felt bad, but I would have gladly left my car and picked up a loaner or made arrangements for travel the next day had anyone ever discussed the extent of the work. He reassured me there would be no additional charge, but again mentioned how late he had to stay. He also said I’d be able to take care of payment upon arrival, as the cashier was still open, even though the shop was closed. I arrived and promptly headed to the cashier, only to be told the billing had not been completed and that I would have to leave my credit card information for billing tomorrow if I wanted my keys and to take my car. Again, not happy about this — lack of communication/​follow through all around. The guy had confirmed the price would stay the same and that I’d be ready to pay on arrival. Also, as I was leaving Scott approched me to discuss my car. He proceeded to tell me AGAIN how late he had to stay and how he was missing time with his family. I’m not sure how many times I could thank him and I wasn’t sure what he wanted out of telling me this over and over again, but it sure felt like he wanted pity or some kind of tip and it made me feel uncomfortable and although I was a major inconvenience. I thanked him again despite annoyance at this point. I then headed out the door as quickly as possible and have yet to return.
All in all, even though this place is nearby and I had a good previous experience, I’ll likely avoid it in the future and stick to the Schaumburg location.

Worst place ever! Knew they were up to no good but over hearing the manager say we can crush them with this car was the kicker!!! I played their game and noticed the manager talking with our decent salesmen and I could tell even the salesmen was even uncomfortable with the higher ups! I finally left and was chased down. Don’t go here they do not know what they are doing and openly treat the workers terrible.

Stopped by to shop for a used car. Met with the salesperson, explained what we wanted to accomplish (which was to lower car payment), and asked to look at a used car. She took us around and showed us two cars that met our criteria — accident free, low miles, and in our price range — upon looking at one of the cars we noticed that the bumper had paint drip marks and was not the same color as the rest of the car. She was surprised! We did not blame her for that as we figured it might be out of her control.
About ready to leave for the 3^rd time and the manger Nick Skwierczynski told her to show us another vehicle. We asked her how in the world will that fall into our price range. Her reply was, «If the manger tells us to look, we look! He must have a fantastic deal for you.» So we when through the process — looked and test drove the vehicle. Then we talked numbers and it they came back over $ 200.00 more than we wanted to spend monthly!
We were okay if they did not have anything that met our needs, criteria, or financial goals. We ARE NOT okay with the games, the inconsiderate way they wasted our time, and the lack of integrity on the part of the manager.
We have been to this dealership twice now; one time many years ago and left because the salesperson was so rude. Last week we thought we would give them another try — was totally disappointed!
We will never go back there again!!!

If you want the experience of being in a stereotypical 1970s leisure suited car dealership this is the one for you! SHADY. SHADY. SHADY!!! We went to see a 2014 murano that was on their website. Pulled up to staff trolling the lot and they won’t let you walk around on your own, you have to be accompanied. We test drove the vehicle and really liked the car. When we pulled into the lot the sales person told us to park it in the sold spot… my husband emphatically stated that the car was not sold! We went inside to talk numbers and what a fiasco. 3000 less trade in than blue book first monthly payment numbers (would not come out and give total price) we calculated that the monthly payments brought the price up 10 000 including interest which they would not be specific. Any way in 15 minutes we got them down over 30% still not to where we were comfortable we told them thank you and we would get back to them if we were still interested. My husband had to hunt down our key… they did no’t want to give it back to us. Then the sales person chased us out the door with 10 dollars less per month. Talk about pushy and high pressure sales… totally turned us off buying a nissan. Sticking with jeep! Oh and be careful entering their website the will hound u relentlessly!

They play hinky math there, run run run!
Ok they were sending me flyers with all kinds of deals so I called the number on the flyer and got some guy named Michael. We made an appointment for a day and time when he said he’d be at the dealership. He called me twice before I arrived there at the specified time and I immediately got assaulted by someone other than Michael. Turns out this Michael doesn’t even work on the premises. That was already strange.
Then, they didn’t have the car I wanted that was supposed to be in inventory based on their website. Nor did they seem to have anything similar, but instead showed me a fancier model with leather and such. And their only option for me was to (after much careful questioning about how it would work) «pre-​buy» a vehicle for them to buy a vehicle for me. I wasn’t keen on that.
In the meantime, I ended up driving a slightly older model that he admitted was in its last production year… they have a zillion of them on the lot, but he tried to tell me how popular it is. Whatever.
Of course they use psychological tactics to warm you up to buying including initialing that if the terms work, you’ll buy today. Yuh huh, just give me some numbers, jerks.
After much waiting, they came back with just a payment amount and interest rate. Of course, I need the details like how much the actual vehicle will cost, how much I get for my trade in, etc. I finally got that and, having already run various loan scenarios on places like
I knew their loan payment made no sense.
I got home and ran it again and yup, they have some very hinky math going on… with the payment and terms they quoted me, the loan amount would have to be nearly $ 5k more than I was getting!!! RUN FAR AND RUN FAST.
Oh and they say they have this ‘free’ service of car washes as often as you want, all oil changes first 3 years, full warranty, free new tires for the life of the car… all free… only there, no other Nissan dealer. Oh and when I compared their prices to other nearby Nissans for what seemed to be the same models, they seem to be a couple grand highers, so I’m guessing they roll this ‘service’ into the sticker price… and, seemingly, their hinky-​math loans!

Not a professional establishment. Maybe they think pushing vehicles priced higher than what customers say they want is the way to create business?
I came in with a vey specific situation, to see if a deal was within reason. If not, no worries– but don’t play games. In order to purchase a vehicle, I needed to get X for my trade-​in, and only wanted my new monthly payment to be Y. Clear as day. I stopped by because they advertised pre-​owned certified vehicles on their website with the payments at Y. The saleswoman was not focused, showed me a few vehicles, then showed me a 2015 Sentra. It was a brand new car with clearly a price higher than Y per month. Fine, she had mentioned they had tons of vehicles and might give a better deal on this. The gas tank was on empty. We took the car for a very short spin, I liked it. The saleswoman asked if I would buy today– I replied sure, if the numbers were as I specified when I first walked in. Surprise Surprise– the «mgr» offered $ 3,500 LESS than X for my trade-​in, and $ 125 a month over Y for the price of the vehicle. Why did she waste my time? Not a huge loss on my part, I can keep driving the vehicle I have, but the salesperson completely ignored my needs. More her waste of time than mine, but definitely not listening to the customer.
Topper: they left my car running in the parking lot after evaluating it for the trade-​in: what’s up with that?

My wife had her oil changed here and they recommended she change the brake fluid also. We then took it to another Nissan dealer this year that clainmed it needed to be changed again. Our friends is a mechanic and he verified that it was never changed in the first place. I will contact them and ask for a refund on this service, if they do redeem the service department I will change this.

I have been meaning to rate this dealership for a while now. Well here goes: I came in back in 2011 hoping to get myself a new car. My credit wasn’t too great and after test driving a couple cars I finally liked the 2012 Nissan Sentra SR. Unfortunately the payment was way to high for my budget and denied it… they kept pushing and pushing for me to sign the papers. THEN the idoit salesman said that after a year if my payments were made perfectly on time they would automatically lower $ 200. I believed them and signed all the papers, also a form to show my payment would lower after a year.
GO Figure the next week, I get a call that the original bank did not approve me, but they found a another bank to finance me. I than mentioned about that deal and salesman claimed nothing would change.
Well a year went by, and after perfect payments i headed back to this dealer looking for my salesman. He was no longer there, the finance manager that i dealt with was no longer there, and i explained my situation and NO ONE new what i was talking about. They looked at all my paperwork and found no such thing about my payment being lowered. I felt stupid. I was stuck with $ 517 PAYMENT on a NISSAN SENTRA!!! I tried to refinance a year later and the salesman than at this same dealer had no interest to work with me, he was a smart ass, rude and lazy. Wish I remembered his name,
ALL IN ALL… St Charles Nissan LIED and F*CKED me,

First of all, I love my Nissan Versa Note. Parts of my experience at this dealership were good and others were down right shady. When I first inquired about a vehicle through e-​mail the sales rep told me they would have it at the St. Charles location ready for me. Then they realized it was at their West Chicago location so I had to go here. Then I had to go to the St. Charles location to complete the financing. They had me drive the car I wanted to purchase to the St. Charles location. This wouldn’t have been a big deal, except I was trading in a vehicle so if anything went wrong at the St. Charles location, I couldn’t just leave and take my old car home. So that was pretty frustrating.
Also– I was told I was going to meet one salesperson there, but he wasn’t there, so another one helped me, and then another one took me over to the St. Charles dealership, so I had no continuity.
The way they negotiated by ‘terms’ was kind of shady. They wouldn’t show me my credit score right away and they didn’t want to tell me the exact APR, they just gave me a «month payment with warranty.» I assumed the warranty was the standard powertrain warranty, but it was a additional extended warranty. This was NOT explained and the numbers weren’t adding up in my head. I should have been more on top of things, but I had already been there for two hours and had to drive back and forth so I was tired.
I waited almost two hours to close the deal. In the closing room, the woman was going through the papers with me and people were walking back and forth and there were a lot of distractions so I had a difficult time concentrating but this was when I realized they were slipping an extended warranty into the bill. I ended up purchasing the warranty and of course regretted it, but its cancelable so I will be cancelling it. Of course the woman tried to sell me all kinds of other plans and warranties, which I declined. She also kept changing the amount of the monthly payment on me– I don’t know if she was just looking at the wrong paperwork or what, but that was frustrating as well.
I am also pretty sure this dealership sells phone numbers to marketing agencies. Ever since I’ve been there I’ve been getting all kinds of phone calls for surveys and ‘free cruises.‘
I had a much better experience at St. Charles Toyota. I worked with one salesman and one finance person. We did everything in under an hour and everything was disclosed from the beginning, and while they offered other warranties and plans, there was no pressure to buy and we said no, that was that. I wanted to go there, but they didn’t have anything we wanted in our budget!

Should have checked Unilocal first. Was hoping to get the value on my 2008 Tahoe. Was told to come in and they could provide it. An hour in I was told they won’t provide value if I don’t commit to buy. Left. Better rated dealerships available.

I’m not sure if I am just one of the lucky ones, or if there is future bad treatment to come, but I have only had positive experiences at Nissan of St.Charles. I bought my 2013 Nissan Rogue in the fall of 2013, and the buying experience was very pleasant. This was my first car buying experience after college, so the process was very new to me. I shopped around at other Nissan dealerships in Chicagoland, but Nissan of St. Charles was the only dealership that had such a large stock of Rogues in the price range I was looking for. The salesman was very nice, and provided good instruction about the car. Due to the distance I live from the dealership, I only come to this particular dealership about every other oil change. I think I have only been 4 times, but every time has been great. I am in and out for my oil change and tire rotations in less than 40 minutes. The only reason I am not giving this dealership 5 stars is due to the fact that I have only been going to them for a little over a year. I will update the review if my experiences with Nissan of St. Charles become negative.

This dealership has called us twice after we expressed interest in replacing a Nissan we purchased from them 5 years ago. Here’s the kicker… if they think they can’t «close» the sale over the phone they just hang up on you. Will not, under any circumstances purchase another vehicle from them.

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE. Chuck, the salesman, was nice and helpful. However, once the manager came over, the whole situation changed. It was the worst experience and customer service I have EVER received and seen. I was completely disgusted and disappointed. This experience affected my perception of the brand Nissan… it was that awful.

Do NOT buy from this dealer!!! They ran a promotion that stated I won $ 2000. I wasted my time by going to the dealership and I was told I won a coin valued at five dollars. The old bait and switch trick and I fell for it. Shame on me. Shame on them for using lies and trickery to get customers in the door. Any dealership that would run a scam promotion like this I would never do business with. If the dealership runs scams like this, what else would they do to you. Shady business!!!

Beware! This dealer is running an incredibly shady advertising campaign to get people in the door.
I received the following brochure and game ticket in the mail and, by all accounts, was led to believe that I’d won $ 2,000 — a 1 in 70,000 chance, I was told, and the lucky ticket was mine!
However, it turns out that there is also a confirmation number on the brochure, and that number determines what you win — the ticket, table of prizes, etc. is all absolutely meaningless and fluff. Even though my ticket came up all 7’s, and the table says that means I’ve won $ 2,000, it’s somehow invalidated (I guess), by the indication in the fine print that the dealer needs to run your confirmation number through their «list» to determine what you’ve won. This doesn’t confirm the validity of your ticket, as you’d be led to assume, but is the list that actually states the prizes, they say. The ticket and table have nothing to do with it.
Save your time, and save your gas, as I did, and don’t fall for this. I called over there asking for «Joe», who I was told to meet with when I called to confirm the prize — yet there’s only a Joe in service or the finance department — neither take these calls. I spoke with a woman who would not give me a direct answer for quite awhile, until finally I worded the question perfectly to get the real information out of her — it was not likely that I’d really won.
Not only was the promotion bad but, when I attempted to buy a car here months ago, the service guy had me test drive a $ 29,000 car, when I clearly told him my budget was around $ 22,000 — got me to totally fall in love with it, then dropped the bomb that it was higher than I could afford.
Really… there’s just no justification or reason to be *this* shady. I will post a photo of the game ticket and table.

We have 1 year worth of free maintenance on our new Versa and they told us it would be in the computers so no need to bring in the original paperwork. The first two services it was in the computer, no problems. This time, it mysteriously had disappeared. «Do you have that in writing?»
Computer bug, malicious intent, or an incompetent employee who didn’t know how to look up the package? In any case I’m annoyed and glad I did keep all the original paperwork.
