Specialties
Our goal is to craft unique, regional wine and foods using practices that care for the earth and to support growers who use sustainable and organic farming methods. In this way, we can contribute to a more vibrant and healthy food community. We hope that as you discover our products, Clif Family Winery & Farm becomes a part of your own adventure and reminds you to slow down and find pleasure in everyday life.
Velo Vino is a unique place where the passions of cycling and wine are celebrated and blended. A road less traveled where you can taste Clif Family wines, sample the latest Clif Bar flavors, experience farm fresh, locally grown food and embark on a world-class cycling excursion, all right in the heart of the Napa Valley.
History
Established in 2004.
You may know us as the people behind the CLIF BAR®, LUNA®, and other nutritious organic foods and drinks. Now, we’ve extended our passion for all things delicious and natural into the realm of wine and gourmet food; the ‘other’ long-standing compliments to a day on the trail.
The story of Velo Vino began with cycling trips through Europe where each day would inevitably end with a long meal and a great bottle of wine…

Meet the Business Owner
Gary E.
Business Owner
Gary has been cooking and baking since high school under the watchful eyes of his mother and grandmother. He began Kali’s Sweets and Savories (named after his grandmother) in 1986 as a small bakery making calzones and gourmet cookies. Kali’s went on to become Clif Bar & Company, the leading maker of organic energy food and drinks. Gary’s love of food and wine began with his cycling trips through Europe. A day of cycling would inevitably end with a long meal and a great bottle of wine. The European’s connection with their food was an inspiration for what would later become Clif Family Winery & Farm. Whether it’s cycling in the French & Italian Alps or a mountain bike ride on his Napa Valley property, good food and wine are always part of the adventure. When he’s not busy running his two companies, Gary can be found at home, cooking eclectic dishes for his family or playing jazz trumpet.
