This place is amazing! I always love going there and trying all the new creations that Dave comes up with. Dave is awesome and is so enthusiastic about everything that he creates. You should definitely visit this place as often as possible!
His ice cream flavors are very original and his waffles and crepes are AMAZING!

Local kids were scrambling for a new job since the store closed suddenly .

As of ⁸⁄₂₀ it looks like this establishment has closed. My wife and I went there a few nights ago to find the doors locked, the lights out and the furniture gone.
Sorry to see this place go. It was our go to ice cream place!

The only reason I don’t give this 5 stars is because it isn’t open late enough. Closing at 9 during the summer just isn’t ideal for people with after-​dinner ice cream hankerings. The ice cream is the best I’ve ever had– this coming from the biggest ice cream fanatic. Cookie Monster with hot fudge and brownie is excellent. My only complaint is that it closes too early!

I wish I came here before going to try it out. Like another reviewer, I went there on a Tuesday (3÷18÷2014) to find the doors closed and the lights off, despite the website claiming they were open Tuesdays. The hours of operation on the front door have been removed, so that was no help either. Also tried to email the email address on the website to figure out when they would actually be open, and it was returned saying the email address did not exist …
Is this place still open?

Their ice cream is pretty good, always have a nice variety of flavors and it definitely tastes fresh. One thing I don’t really like is that you can’t see all the flavors in the case… they are in giant tupperware stacked on top of one another so you can’t really base your selection on appearance. I would have given 4 stars but I went there on a Tuesday only to find them closed despite their website claiming they are open Tuesday-​Sunday.

Is there a down time to eat ice cream, just like you should not eat seafood on Tuesday? If you are in the industry of food, you would know not to eat seafood on Tuesdays. Is eating ice cream during the winter months a bad thing, especially when we have 2 ft of snow still on our lawns? I hope this is the case with this place. The ice cream had a funny flavor, like it was freezer burnt or medicine. Ack!
Please tell me that going to an ice cream shop in the middle of winter is not a good idea. Days like this makes me enjoy a chain restaurant. I wanted to support a local spot but this is not something I would come back too.
Hopefully the summer will bring them better ice cream.

My boyfriend LOVED his Nutella crêpe with dulce de leche ice cream. Each one of the staff members were sweet attentive and helpful. They let us try a few samples of the ice cream choices because there were so many good ones to choose from. We went with the Cookie Monster, salted caramel, carrot cake, and red velvet. I also tried the caramel latte (it looked like they were new to the machine but my latte wasn’t bad at all. A+ for your efforts) and to top off a great visit I was able to use my student discount. Sad I only had my debit card on me. I really wanted to tip the girls. Next Time Girls !!!

So many flavors to choose from I didn’t know what to do! Large portions with a lot of toppings. Will definitely go back to try again.

How much do I love this place? Let me count the ways.
1) It’s a really cute looking place, that’s always really nicely decorated. This is the perfect place to bring your kids, if you have any. The atmosphere is like those old-​timey ice cream joints with wonderful, attentive customer service.
2) The ice cream. Oh, my my. You never know what flavors are available when you walk in, which is all part of the fun. The flavors are fun and inventive. Cookie Monster, Buffalo Chicken, (which is surprisingly AWESOME) Red Velvet, Salted Caramel, Carrot Cake, (!!!) and so much more. Soft serve is also available in addition to the hard ice-​cream. The care that you see taken with the ice-​cream extends to every single item on the menu.
3) The waffles. Holy Waffles. They are little clouds of happiness. Pillows of joy. Not only a vehicle for great ice-​cream but just divine on their own. I’m sorry. I can’t write anymore because I am now drooling all over the keyboard.
4) Dave. Dave is the owner and the mad scientist behind the awesomesauce food. He is a sweetheart, first of all, and every bite you take of anything only emphasizes how much passion he has for his products. The man grinds his coffee fresh and puts it on multiple times a day… that kind of devotion to quality food and a quality customer service experience is priceless. Almost by extension, his staff is also unbelievably nice and attentive.
Did I convince you yet? No? Ok. I’m going to say the magic words.

Went here on a Groupon. 5 $ for 10 $. The place is pricey and I somehow spent another 6 $ on top of that. That being said…
The flavors are amazing. I don’t usually go out for ice cream but I was having an unusually good day and figured, why not? I got to try a few samples including the maple bacon and the buffalo chicken. I will say, I did not continue to purchase either of those, but atop a waffle, I am sure they are divine. I ordered one of their stuffed sundaes (Chocolate and Mocha Chip ice cream with kit kats and hot fudge). They do not joke about their hot fudge. It’s awesome. It’s plentiful. Almost every spoonful of ice cream had fudge in it. They did not have any mocha chip left, which was disappointing, and they gave me coffee instead. I plan on going back and trying the rest of their flavors though.

This place is a big dumbs down for me and the family. We were all looking forward to going there for some great ice cream because the place looks the part but looks are deceiving and I tell you now it’s over priced and not good at all. My kids threw out their ice cream yeah because it was that bad. I’d rather go to carvel and I don’t even like carvel

Between Sophia D’s waffle description and learning that they serve Magic Fountain here, I made it a stop on my way home from work one day. I think that as they iron out some of the kinks (familiar to any new business) that some of the issues here will improve over time.
The place is really pristine looking inside — white on white on white — sunglasses might be needed when it’s really glaring. The loungy couch area near the window is really nice, but as I was sitting to read at a table, the plastic chair was pretty uncomfortable for my bony behind after a little while. I also wish that they’d serve their ice cream in a glass dish or ceramic bowl, with a metal utensil — something substantial — what I was given was a styrofoam container and a plastic spoon. Is this really a complaint? Yup. If an ice cream parlor is to stand above all the others, they have to go a little further than just providing good bites. Something as easy as providing a tall glass of water along with the ice cream for sit-​down patrons? A slightly confusing situation, when I was asked how I wanted my toppings (butterfinger bits) on the top, or the bottom, I didn’t really understand what was going on. For some reason, I decided I wanted them on the bottom — don’t do this. They are called «toppings» for a reason. I wish they would instead mix them in with the ice cream like some other places do. Scraping the bottom of my styrofoam bowl with the spoon personally creeps me out on a molecular level and just feels, well, cheap.
As others have said, it’s a little pricey for ice cream, and there’s a $ 10 minimum on credit/​debit cards. So if you’re stopping by solo for a snack, be sure to have cash. The unique flavors available earn this place 3 stars alone, and I bought a pint to go (to bump my order up above $ 10).
That waffle is still haunting my head, so I’ll have to head back at some point and try it (and possibly add a star). Hopefully I won’t have plastic utensils to eat it with…

I had heard much about The New York Stuffed Cone Co. so I took the time to drive all the way out to try it. Unfortunately, it took only minutes to realize that my trip was not worth it.
When I came into the store, there was dozens of people waiting for ice cream and only one person behind the counter, so I knew that it would take quite a while before I even got a chance to see the flavors available.
Once I finally got to the counter, I felt rushed to order but managed to try one flavor before ordering a small cup of salty caramel. I’ve had salty caramel many times at other ice cream shops but this might have been the worst. Not only did the ice cream taste mostly of salt with a hint of cream, the texture of the ice cream was bizarrely sponge-​like. I feel that this is likely to their freezers being far too warm.
Adding to the issues, the prices are rather high for what they offer. While the stuffed cone at nearly $ 7 makes a bit of sense, the more than $ 3.50 for a tiny scoop of mediocre ice cream was far from worth it.
I can definitely say that I won’t be coming back.

Oh to be young and scooping ice cream while dancing to Dexy’s Midnight Runners…
This spot in the space-​formerly-​known-​as-​Cool Beanz shopping center boasts a cool but awkwardly placed ice cream counter (the attempt at nostalgia doesn’t match the seat style or the décor in general) and some nicely mismatched chairs near the entrance/​exit which offer a tad more privacy while devouring your purchase.
Having decided against the $ 12 for $ 25 Groupon, upon arriving I quickly realized this wouldn’t have been the ridiculous splurge I anticipated, given what $ 7.33 got me — a respectable portion but not your normal quantity for that amount. (Plus, despite liking the 5 separate $ 5 voucher idea, they expired 90 days after purchase and that just seemed unreasonable given how seldom I’m over here.)
Friendly staff was generous with samples: truly stellar banana pudding and a mediocre/​unremarkable coconut avocado. Ended up going down similar paths with banana salted caramel (tasty) and toasted coconut (nice bits of coconut throughout) on a stuffed cone ($ 6.75 pre-​tax) with hot fudge, peanut butter sauce, and brownie bits (none of which were bad, but would’ve preferred a 3 scoop:2 topping ratio) in a waffle bowl — even after reviewing their site, still don’t know what makes it a stuffed cone. It’s a shame this Cold Stone-​esque place forces their customers into dishing out inconvenient amounts like $ 7.33 when the CC minimum is $ 10.

They put caramelized bacon in a perfectly crisp belgian waffle, need I say more?! Okay I will, since I am an elite and all. The ambiance is modern and pretty to look at, but not comfy for a long stay. The colors are just a bit too bright and white. The staff is friendly and accomodating and they menu is pretty darn good. PS– the belgian waffle there was the BEST I ever had! Oh man now I want another one! Ice cream flavors are creative and right up my alley including chili chocolate– very spicy! Lots of toppings too stuffed and layered into a home made cone– MAGIC! You gotta give it a whirl– especially for the waffle!

To be honest, I wouldn’t ever go here without a Groupon, Living Social, etc. Don’t get me wrong the ice cream is good (they buy it from Magic Fountain) but the prices are high and the woman running the place barks orders at the teenage employees, is short with the customers (enough to make half my large group say they won’t be back), and gets annoyed about accepting the deal vouchers.

I found NY Stuffed Cone through a Groupon deal. I can basically sum it up by saying OMG. It is amazing. First off, the workers couldn’t be nicer. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. They offered us so many free samples you could fill up on those alone. Once you are finally able to decide (because you will instantly want to order one of everything), you will not regret whatever you choose! I ordered plain old cookies and cream and cookie dough in a waffle cone-​amazing. Hot fudge sundae was also delicious! Even though this place is a bit off the map for me, I have a feeling I will be wandering up there several more times this summer!

New business. Doesn’t seem to busy when i went, but it was raining. First thing I notice is prices, which seem quite high especially after I saw the portions. I think I get more at Red Mango for the same price.
Service was good. 5-​stars there. Nice and friendly.
Softserve icecream is good (Tried Strawberry and Vanilla), but I can’t say much better than the others around here. Vanilla was pretty much just like any other place. Strawberry was quite good. The serving size seems small for what they are charging. The chocolate stuffed cupcake is really good and I would get it again even if it is $ 4. Brownies are a bust. If I am paying $ 2 for a brownie, I expect it to be for a fundraising event or for it to taste better than my homemade recipe.
Sundaes are too sweet for me. It is just sugar on top of sugar. Needs some kind of balance or some icecream that isn’t so sweet or else its like a sugar overload. Some ppl may like that, but I don’t really.
Honestly, I don’t think I would go unless it is for groupon. Maybe only for the chocolate stuffed cupcake thus far. I still have some left so I may try again and try their other menu items.

Awesome new spot in St.james. Friendly girls working and incredibly delicious ice cream. Love that the ice cream is all made on LI in house! My daughters had s’mores and Cookie Monster. I had Salted Carmel and English Toffee. Ice cream tasted like fresh made ice cream. Great new addition to our town. Can’t wait to go back for espresso and stuffed Belgium waffles! Or maybe a crêpe or two.
