I am highly disappointed with how this store has turned out. When they first opened this place was great with young professional staff ranging from 25 – 40 and now they have a 60 year old manager and grungy staff. I’m not sure what happened to the staff they had but I am not a fan anymore. There clothes have turned in to making m feel like I’m a good will. I won’t be coming back here. They don’t even buy designer stuff that is in anymore. Not to mention the manager is verbally rude to her staff in front of customers. So unprofessional!

Yeah. So I’m in town for the Taylor Swift concert. I drop my teenagers off and drive 41 minutes to this store. I arrive at 6:16 pm and they are open until 8. Perfect! Only not. They are closed. It clearly says on the door open until 8. I’m really quite pissed.

The staff was very nice. However, that’s about all I can say nice about this store. I was excited to see their inventory of MK and Coach bags. However, they were priced much higher than TJ Maxx. Also, I wasn’t excited to see their expansive collection of Old Navy clothing … priced a bit high in my opinion. Lastly, there is so much inventory in this store, it’s almost impossible to search. Very disappointed!

What can I say? This store is probably my favorite store ever. I was a fan of the Clothes Mentor store even before they opened up here in St. Pete, I would make the travel up to Palm Harbor just to shop. Some items are priced more than others, and not everything is as cheaply priced as say, a true thrift store… But you have to keep in mind that this store is much much nicer to shop. Organized, clean, Guess shoes for $ 11 and a genuine Coach bag(near new) for $ 40. My only complaint about this store which doesn’t apply to the other location, is that the employee friendliness is lacking quite a bit. I know that for some people this can turn an entire experience sour, but I don’t mind. I’m there for the goods! Other than the most-of-the time lacking customer service(star off), this store is an A+ find. Not sure where else you can find a $ 50 Michael Kors bag and $ 60 pair of Uggs. Thank you for coming to St. Pete, my mentor! ;)

I agree with the last review with regard the store not being easily accessible if you are coming from 66th Street heading West. I found that I had to go past the traffic light because a u-turn is not allowed. However, there is another opportunity to make a u-turn immediately after the traffic light at the entrance to the shopping center. The clothes are neatly organized by size and color scheme. Shoes are organized by size. Tops are organized by long sleeve, short sleeve, and sleeveless. A nice selection of clothing styles, top brand names, and clothing is in excellent condition. Cute jewelry and accessories. The only thing I would HIGHLY suggest is better customer service. Would it kill the salesperson to say to the customer after his or her purchase«Thank you for shopping at Clothes Mentor. Have a Good Day/Evening.» ??? Though I was greeted by one salesperson upon entering the store before even buying anything, the other sales person did not bother to interact with me after I made my purchase. I had to be the first one to wish her a good evening before leaving. Really!!!
