This poor sonic… Has JUST made it out of the hood that is Alief but not quite into the ritzy Sugar Land. I wont understand one star reviews on a fast food chain unless something really atrocious happened. What do you expect?

If you want good service, don’t ever come here. The people who takes your orders will hang up on you and will not bring your food for you for a while. When you ask them if they heard you due to no response back, someone else comes in and says oh, he hung up on you because he is busy taking another order.

Every time I pull into a Sonic Drive In, I wish and wish that my experience will be as incredible as the good olé’ days. Here at the 59 + Airport location, that wish is still a far off star in the sky. Unfortunately for you, this is the best fast food place in the area(unless you’re okay with Chicken or Taco Smell). Fortunately for you, this location is getting better… just don’t dine-in(it’s called a DRIVE In for a reason). The BEST thing about Sonic is their Happy Hour from 2 – 4 pm daily. It includes ½ drinks(all 59 bazillion combinations). The WORST thing about THIS Sonic is their unreliable employees. Sometimes it’s a great interaction while ordering, other times it’s like drilling straws into my eyes(a mixture of faulty mic and speaker with bad attitudes). The recent hires are an improvement. The inconsistency is what makes my trips here inconsistent. I only ever want to stop here when I know I only have to pay 50% for my drink. If I was a Sonic manager, that statement should concern me. The last thing that bothers me greatly about this Sonic is the lack of quality assurance the employees seem to have. Bad consistency is the theme of this place, and their food + drink is not spared from this theme. When they fix their employees, broken equipment and quality assurance, I’ll fix my review. But for now, I’ll see you once or twice a month, between 2 – 4.

I was craving Sonic so bad so I decided to go for lunch one day with two friends. We first went inside after seeing a long drive thru line and almost all full drive in spots. We waited inside for about five minutes with two men waiting in front of us. I noticed only three employees and one of them went into their break room, after she had seen us standing there. After that five minutes I decided to go to the drive thru because that line had actually moved. I waited about ten minutes before I got to the order menu and then waited at least ten more with still no service. I understand it was 12:30 on a weekday but the lack of service and employees was very unprofessional. Don’t waste your lunch break at this Sonic.

This sonic is the worst in the area but is the only one open late. Sat in the drive through for 30 min and it was my turn and it was my turn no one was there to respond. I did hear them say something to the person on the drive in section.

Dirty dirty dirty tables. Eeeeew. But half price shakes are good for the grandkids. Just don’t even try to find a clean place to sit in the dining room. Get it to go.

The go to fast food joint for late night sweet tooth satisfaction. Half price milk shake after 8 p.m., no other joints in the area can beat this price. Last night, I brought two median shakes for less than $ 4 including tax. Not the best I ever had, but the shakes were sweet, cold, thick, and cheap. Just what we needed for a hot & humid Texas night on a near empty wallet. This location is fast. You can do walk up, drive through, or park for the waitress /waiter service.

It’s sonic so what can you say about the food. This review is about the restaurant. This is the first sonic I have seen with an inside So my wife and I gave it a try. Before one in the afternoon so while we knew it would be busy we didn’t expect the filthy tables and dirty bathrooms.

Megan C obviously works for the sonic on Dulles. I seriously just drove from the Dulles one to this sonic location. They’re polite, professional. The food doesn’t taste like garbage or takes forever unlike the one on Dulles.

One of the worst Sonic locations I’ve been to. I honestly don’t know why I’ve been here as many times as I have. Maybe I keep hoping one day my drink wont taste horrible. Every single time I’ve come here the drinks don’t taste right. The iced tea is always nasty or old tasting and the diet coke doesn’t taste right and tastes metallic. Find a new sonic, don’t waste your money here.

I don’t like to give one star reviews. I try my best to be objective, fair and understanding in every business I review. However, some businesses just hit the fail mark one too many times and make anything above one star impossible. This particular Sonic is a big«never again» for me. Why? Several reasons are at the forefront. One, I place an order that includes my choosing a chili cheeseburger with the patty, chili, cheese and mustard ONLY. That’s not a difficult order. It’s actually quite simple. Instead I get a chili cheeseburger with lettuce and mayonnaise. Wrong. I take it back and repeat the specifications for the chili cheeseburger again. The second time I received a chili cheeseburger with tomato and mayonnaise. Wrong again. Now I’m wondering if they can’t comprehend what I’m ordering. The order is repeated for the THIRD time. Well, for the third time I receive a chili cheeseburger with… you guessed it, mayonnaise. Very wrong. Normally I try to be understanding. People can and do make mistakes. But THREE times and after the order was repeated back to us correctly each time?!? This was too much. If it were an ingredient I could remove then no problem. You can’t exactly remove mayonnaise and I despise mayonnaise. I’ve never liked mayonnaise and I never will. It all comes down to listening to what the customer orders and following through with that. This Sonic missed that mark by light years. The mayonnaise-y mess was returned yet again and I said I just wanted my money back for the burger. I sure to God didn’t trust these employees to get it right the fourth time. No genius abilities were necessary here. How can something simple get so messed up? I’m just glad I got the money back for the burger and consider it lucky that they didn’t mess that up. To make matters worse, they forgot the onion rings I ordered and I wish now I had just forgone the few dollars they cost and let them be forgotten. They were awful. Truly. They consisted of the outer«paper» part of the onion but no actual onion. Who the hell cuts onion rings that way and more so who the hell eats that papery outer skin? On top of that, there were no apologies or no attempts to make this experience better. I’m not looking for free food. I did however expect an apology. The employees were rude and indifferent. As I said, anyone can make a mistake but three times of this foolishness is not a mistake. Nor is rudeness. Nor are those inedible fried paper rings excusable. It’s pure carelessness and inconsideration and it’s enough to make me avoid this particular Sonic from now on.

After church Sunday ushering makes me thirsty! Compared to any other Sonic I’ve visited, especially during Happy Hour, this place consistently good. Quick service and accurate orders every time I’ve visited. Even if the drive thru is packed, park the car and go inside. They have a dining area and ordering stall inside. The dining area is not fantastic(no décor, very drab gray cement interior), but saving my gas money and getting my little drink order pronto in air conditioning is a great trade off!

Don’t forget during football season, if the Houston Texans win, you get a free cherry-cranberry slush at Sonic! Woooot! And don’t forget about their Happy Hour drink specials. I like this particular one because they have a drive thru! Every time I park and wait for my food to be delivered on roller skates, it takes FOR-EV-ER! The convenience of being able to zip in and out makes this one of my fave locations. However, their menu is pretty extensive, so if you need a lot of time to decide, I suggest you park and order. What is it about their tator tots that are the bomb? It’s perfectly crisp, hot, and the way every tator tot should be made. Makes me want to buy some right now! If you ever get cravings for hot dogs, this is your place! Try their premium BEEF Chicago Dog. It’s topped with pickles, relish, tomato, peppers, salt and mustard. To top if off, it comes in a warm poppy seed bun. Heck to the yes! It’s pretty close to the ones you eat in the Windy City.

Love Sonic Happy Hour from 2 – 4. Best drink is Route 44 sized Lemon Berry Slush. This location is a little heavy on the strawberry syrup so your slush tastes less lemonadey but still for the deal it is good and service was prompt.
