Taxi by Handy Delivery

I learned the hard way last night at 11:15pm that they are not be trusted to pick you up from the airport even if you call them and make a reservation. We were flying in from Dulles and called before we got on the plane to arrange our ride home. They were not outside waiting on us as I asked. I even gave them our name and address. We called and were told they were given permission to take another party before us. We didn’t get home until midnight. Got tired of waiting for them and got a ride from another cab company.

Clean cab, friendly and safe driver, and I arrived at the airport on time. When the driver showed up 5 minutes late, he apologized (but come on, it was only 5 minutes. Not the end of the world). Setting up the ride over the phone was simple and the fare was reasonable.
With so many awful taxi cab reviews for State College, I’m glad I went with Handy.

Another abysmal taxi service in state college. Don’t expect them to be on time or answer your calls the 1^st or 4^th time.
Cab driver even asked me if I’d be ‘pissed off’ if he went and got a piece of luggage he was sent to deliver for another customer– even after making me wait 20 mins for him to come!
Note to upper management: come to NYC and take a lesson or several from the yellow cabs.
Also on top of the horrendous service, they get you with exorbitant rates. The meter jumps .35 cents/​30 secs– who does that?

Used them several times during my stay in state college and they were wonderful! Arrived on time, friendly and actually cheaper than über (surcharge wise)

The Worst Taxi company in State College!!! Anybody who gives them a good review is clearly lying to themselves. While your call may go through fast that doesn’t mean your cab will come fast. I shouldn’t have to wait over 40 minutes for a cab when they said 15 – 20 minutes. All of their drivers are rude or cranky. I’ve never had a problem with AA Taxi’s drivers or über drivers.
Ps: I waited over 40 minutes for a cab once, called back only to be told there was no cab on the way. They weren’t going to call to tell me.
Pps: one cab driver tried to trick me into paying more money by taking back roads to my destination. I brought up google maps and saw that she was going completely out of the way. When I tried to bring it up she slammed on the breaks and tried to kick me out of the cab.

Horrible company will never call again. Phoned for a ride and the dispatcher told me address did not exist even though I was on the street and it shows up on google maps. He then hung up on me. I phoned again after moving to a new location trying to make things easier and the cab never showed. Horrible service. Do not recommend.

What a horrible company. I had called to arrange transportation for my wife from the airport. They said a car was on the way. I provided my wife’s name and phone number. The cab showed up and picked up a different fare. I called back and asked what the deal was and they said my wife should have got in the cab with the other fare. The driver said the other Persian was going another way and refused to take her.
I pleaded that my wife was stranded and I was quickly hung up on.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any company ever.

Handy Delivery is by far the best taxi service in State College. Both the dispatcher and the drivers are friendly without being excessively chatty. The cab was clean, and the fare may have even been a bit cheaper than other carriers. I had to come into town really late sometimes (e.g. sometime around midnight), and this service consistently arrived within 15 – 20 minutes of landing. I really appreciated the professionalism of the drivers, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is THE Taxi service to use at State College. I’ve used them about 6 times and each trip they: picked me up on time – had a clean and pleasant smelling cab — took a direct route – every driver was pleasant and knowledgeable. Rich the Dispatcher does an awesome job making sure all time calls are prompt. Thanks a million.

By far the best taxi service in the State College area. 24-​hour dispatch service with friendly, professional drivers. You can really depend on Handy Delivery all the time. Highly recommended! :D

This is the only Taxi service that actually functions in this town. Not once did I call and get placed on endless dial tones (like AA Taxi) and not once were they not on time.
I’ve used them a couple of times to get some places the buses didn’t (such as the airport) and they were always on time and ready.
It was a pleasure to use them in stressful times. Reliable, affordable, and professional. Just what I need from a Taxi service. Next time I need a scheduled pickup, I know who to call.

I use this taxi service at least once a week and I am very happy with the service I receive. Since I take a cab as often as several times a week, I highly value having a pleasant experience. All of the drivers I’ve driven with have been nice, interesting, and very knowledgeable about State College and the surrounding area. There are a few drivers that I have gotten to know fairly well and I always enjoy their company. I highly recommend this service to others, especially if you are looking for a cab company that comes in the time frame that is quoted, is always friendly, and is comparable to (if not lower than) the prices of other companies in the area.

I only took this one taxi company while in State College, only one time. Every time I would talk to some one around town they would say that Handy provides the best service at the lowest prices. So I went with it. Unfortunately I will not be able to compare Handy to any of their competition.
