nafter being closed for approx 5 weeks due to renovation, i couldnt wait to shop. sorry to say although the store looks much better, i wasnt impressed with the produce and most prices werent posted. shopping carts are new but still too large as the aisles are narrow. the Deli area looks impressive but had a hard time reaching for my freshly sliced goods, as i stand only 5′ ! as for checking out, items are scanned and usually i check my receipt before i leave; today i didnt and was overcharged for 2 items, my bad. sure i will shop there again, but on my next trip, i will be more diligent as i check out. shout out to my girls in the Meat Dept & check out. Update! just came back from FF& produce a bit better but pricey. also noticed, chicken steaks went up to 6.99 a lb.

This place has a great deli department fresh cold cuts and good prepared foods. The fruits/vegetables are pretty and always priced right. The meats are also good and a real value. It is not much on looks but good products at a good price. Check it out. Ciao…

This place is far from a Farmer’s Market. Also, I made the mistake of coming here twice while in the area and both times, had the same cashier. Please fire the young, big, tan, dark-haired girl. Both times she threw my food in the bag as if she couldn’t care less. If you can’t get a better job than a cashier at a fruit store making minimum wage, don’t take it out on the customers who are paying. I don’t particularly enjoy searching for good fruit to have it thrown around by a typical Staten Island snot nose with no respect.

Great local grocery spot! They have a great selection of fresh fruit and veggie all reasonably priced, a deli, and prepared foods section with all thing Italian. When ever I visit Staten Island I always stopped in for the bread and pizza dough its pretty top notch. Overall, would def recommend stopping by.

So «Farmer’s Market» is a bit strong. I think just Market might be a more fitting term. In any case, they have great produce, meats and bread for surprisingly low prices. Whenever I get to check out I expect it to be more, but it never is. I use this as a supplement to my regular grocery shopping routine because they have better quality and variety of produce than any of the big grocery stores in the area. Beyond produce and meat the selection can be somewhat limited– think Manhattan bodega, a little bit of everything but not necessarily what you want. If you need a really specific product they might not have it– but if you want some great fresh fruit or a chunk of beef to roast this is your place.

First off, let me say that this establishment Rocks, the selection is spot on, the prices are also, the freshness is Top-Shelf. The owners, are compassionate about their business and its shows, if you want Avante Garde shopping stay in Manhattan and pay more! I only wish it were bigger, support local establishments. There aren’t too many left around.

I keep trying to give the benefit of the doubt by this fruit store has been going downhill for awhile. The produce is spoiled most of the time but I see the men who work there trying to get rid of the bad ones. The prices jump up and down on certain things. The owner got annoyed that I informed him that shoprite has the same fruit cheaper. But I must say Joe is a nice guy. I missed a sale by one day and he gave me the product at sale price anyway. The cashiers are young and friendly. The cold cuts counter have nice guys working but one I cant stand. I try to avoid him. Im sticking with them for now.

Would hardly call this ‘farmers market’ this place has gone downhill. The last time I was there(about a week ago) the produce shelves were basically empty, which made the dirt more visible. The bread bins looked contaminated, the quality of products are poor. Not to mention the staff is creepy — definitely my last attempt at this ‘farmers market’…
