Woof & Tails Lodge

I apologize in advance for the lengthy review… My 9 y/​o Shiba Inu Rocky went for his interview last Saturday, I wanted him to get back to Socializing with other dogs. For 6 yrs he had friends to play with any time but since we moved he has had no one. I see loneliness and boredom. For an older dog (I refuse to say Senior) he has a lot of energy he needs to get out.
I heard of Woof and Tails through my neighbor who’s dog goes there for grooming. I researched the Facility, I was so impressed by the size of the Facility and the Boarding accommodations, day dare, etc… I liked the Camara on the dog as he goes through the facility on their website, as you get to see how much space there is from the dog’s perspective. It also helped to know the owner also has a Shiba Inu so she is well aware of the breed and their quirkiness.
When we went for the interview, I was even more impressed with the Lodge and it’s cleanliness and very polite Reception and the Rangers. My dog is my baby and I am so glad I found such a place for him to actually get his energy out and back to socializing with his own kind, while we are at work. I hope my review helps any skeptics out there. As a loving Pawrent, I want my dog to be able to be a dog, in a safe and fun environment!

This place is great! It’s clean the play areas are large with outdoor areas when the weather allows. My Boston terrier Ava loves it there. The staff is always friendly. Great for day care and for boarding. Would recommend to everyone.

I did a great deal of research before deciding to board my girl at Woof & Tails. From the moment I walked in for the free interview the staff was warm and welcoming to both me and my dog. Belle was boarded there for 9 nights and seems to have had a great time. They have cameras in the play rooms so that you can log in and see your dog, plus they put some great pics on their FB page. We got Belle home and she’s exhausted from all the activity there.

Woof and Tails, as well as the old Camp Bow Wow, are awesome. My two dogs absolutely love going there. I personally feel safer knowing there is an entire fire safety system in place, as opposed to a person sleeping over themselves. I also love the fact they are not sleeping in a crate like they would be in other places. I am pleased in knowing that the staff runs a «tight ship.» I was there when a couple just came into the place asking to take a look around the play yards. No thanks! Their staff is friendly and take care of my dogs as I would. I feel that they are safe there and actually enjoy there time there. It is clean, and friendly to the dogs in it’s setup and amount of space. To me, as a dog parent, that’s what matters.

They are so kind and welcoming to myself and sasha. Sasha is an 8 month old husky and she is full of energy as anyone can tell you at woofs… Every morning sasha is welcomed with a big hello and she’s ready to play and get her exercise for the day and that’s exactly what she does… ALL DAY… They have a Web Cam which is wonderful so you can peek in throughout the day to see which room they are playing in. whether it be borough howl or Grammercy bark or the conference house just to mention a few. you know they are having fun and are safe… The facility is immaculate. I am so happy that woofs is a part of our family now.

I adore Woof & Tails Lodge, and so does my dog Juno. I’ve been taking my beagle/​basset hound here for a year now, and she loves it. The folks who check you in at reception are always welcoming, and know her by name. Socializing and exercising your dog is so important. Juno arrives with lots of energy to burn, but when I pick her up she’s completely happy and exhausted. She loves her boarding visits here. The facility is super clean. They remind you before vaccines are due to expire which is helpfuI. will never leave her again in a crated veterinary office, where she’s confined to a small crate. This system is so much better, and offers a variety of activity. All day free range play, with other breeds who have also been previously interviewed and interact well with dogs and humans alike. The camera system is addictive to watch from home. I can see her play with her other canine friends. The camera system could be improved though, because there is a substantial delay and the movements are choppy. I am a very picky dog owner, who does extensive research before leaving Juno anywhere, and I have been completely satisfied with Woof & Tails Lodge. I recommend them to family, friends and co-​workers.

For boarding reservations, their policy is «If a dog checks out early from their boarding stay for ANY reason, UN-​used nights CANNOT be used as credit and will be forfeited.»
You pay for boarding in full at the time of drop off. I wasn’t aware of this policy, so when I returned 1 day early from a trip wanting to pick her up a day early, I was told the extra day would not be refunded and could not be applied to a future date. I did not want my money back, but thought it might be credited to my account for another visit. I was told no way. Worth mentioning. If you book boarding always book less days and then tack on more to avoid this problem, should you ever need to pick up your pet earlier.

Why this place only has one review — and it’s a negative one — is really beyond me. I took my Chihuahua, Scotty, here and he had a great time! You’ll notice as soon as you walk in that the lodge is very clean and orderly. I love the camera system they have available for customers that can be accessed from home. And yes, I logged in and watched my doggie during my vacation. The staff was also very friendly. Before my dog’s first «interview» I took him to the vet to get a few shots. One of the assistants there says she used to work at Woof & Tails for three years and she loved it. My co-​worker also mentioned that she takes her dog here. This is my new go-​to place for boarding. Will never let my dog be locked in a cage at the vet’s office ever again.
