History

Established in 1957.

Central Macomb Community Credit Union was originally established in 1957 at what is now the Selfridge Air National Guard Base as «Selfridge Air Force Base Credit Union.» In its early years, the Credit Union’s field of membership consisted of military personnel and supplemental staff at Selfridge Air Force Base.

An exciting chapter began in 1999 when we were granted a community charter by the state of Michigan. Today, we’re proud to serve all of Macomb County and our members as a full-​service financial institution.

Manager

I’m Drema Isaac, the President and CEO at Central Macomb Community Credit Union, a financial institution that has been proudly serving our military members since 1957.

Prior to joining Central Macomb in 2002, I began my career in the credit union industry at Northland Area Federal Credit Union in 1994, which was the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base Credit Union. When the base closed, the credit union converted their field of membership to a community charter and swiftly developed remote banking options which maintained service levels for our military members. Likewise, about 25 percent of Central Macomb’s membership consists of members of the military who have maintained their accounts with us despite moving beyond Macomb County. Our online banking, mobile app, ²⁴⁄₇ phone service, vast fee-​free ATM network, and credit union service centers allow our membership to receive top-​notch service wherever they reside.
