There would never be anybody to help you at the «side of building» to pick up the garden stuff (such as top soil, mulch) you ordered from website. When you order something like top soil online and pick it up in store, usually they print a page and ask you to pull you car at the side of the building, and the staff are supposed to «load» it for you. But guess what, there is nobody to help. Every time I did that, I was waiting in my car like idiot, there is nobody to help and the door is locked. If there is nobody there, why would you ask customers to waiting there? I would rather help myself. This procedure is totally meaningless and waste of time.

I keep going her because it is a Lowes, and they generally have more stuff at cheaper prices. HOWEVER, I am done with buying anything more than a can of paint or tools from this particular store. The reason, I bought some blinds from this store. The blinds themselves were great, but the entire process of ordering them was a pain and the staff was unprofessional. When ordering the blinds, I came in prepared knowing what make and color I wanted and my house was pre-​measured. It still took an hour and a half to get the order processed. When the blinds came in, I watched a staff member drag them from the back of the warehouse to the front of the store. These blinds were not cheap and it pissed me off to see the lack of care used in transporting them. Especially since I was standing in plain site of the staffer dragging the boxes. As such, this is a decent Lowes, but if you are looking for anything that needs to be special ordered, go somewhere else.

I bought a washer, dryer, and refrigerator and paid for the installation in my new home. Installers attached the coupling to the washer and opened the valve. Apparently not checking there work, they went to install the refrigerator. Turned out the coupling to the water was fastened and I had significant water pouring out of my laundry, walkway, and closet. I didn’t catch it till the water started getting into the kitchen. Needless to say, the water soaked the floor boards into the basement and drywall leading out to the garage. The installers also failed to tighten the gas to the dryer. After calling lowes to inform, they sent out a person to «fix» the problem the following day. Gas was fixed immediately and they provided a fan in 3 days to dry the basement. I had to put space heaters in the laundry room to dry the drywall.
There was no compensation nor trying to make things right after spending thousands in that store.
Horrible experience, poor business practice, and terrible customer service. I would recommend going elsewhere but at LEAST go somewhere else for installing.

Just an average Lowe’s store. I go to this store to buy home remodeling supplies and enjoy a weekend redecorating or fixing my house. The service is okay not great, just fine.

This is your average lowes, hate to admit it, but it’s true. All the stuff you need or want are there and some over priced and most you can find online for a bit cheaper. Although I never checked to see if they price match, I still get things from here when I can’t or do not want to wait for it coming in the mail.
A good selection of light bulbs for that emergency you have but most are online and cheaper.

Like a giant Kmart. No floor people. ever in the departments and they ask at the check out if you found everything ok. I said, «no, I never find stuff, its take me 30 min to find help» Then the lady tells me they have to ask that question. So basically they don’t give a hoot, they just have to ask if I found everything ok. Who says that to a customer? Idiots
Update: Went in today. Left my lumber on the cart. Nobody in the lumber dept to cut it. Waited 15 minutes. The place was dead empty in the lumber Dept. No reason for this. Last time to Lowe’s for me. Store is at 16 and Dequinder Sterling Heights.

Lousy customer service — walked past 7 associates to the lumber area without even an acknowledgement. When I got to the lumber yard, I was getting harassed by an associate. I was looking for a few good straight pieces of wood for a project, and basically was told I was making a mess and wasting my time. I want to thank the man working on Sunday around 3pm for being a complete jerk.

I just have to post this for Olga, I was so blessed this strong lady helped me out in the garden center on Wednesday night. Great customer service, not always easy to find these days. She took time to be helpful and get me a cart. I’d been the dork thinking I would just haul the 25lb bag of potting soil by hand. You just don’t always get service like this anymore. I found my soil right away, checked out right there by the parking and was home potting my plants within less than 20 minutes so for me that’s good service.

«Meh» is about right. My dad wanted to buy me a new over the range microwave for Christmas, so we went here to pick it out. We wandered the appliance section for about 20 minutes while we figured out which one was best — all the while no sign of an employee.
After we determined which one was best, we were sorely looking for someone to help us. I spied two employees in the neighboring (15 ft away) kitchen design center, happily talking amongst themselves and ignoring us. We approached them and asked for assistance, so they paged Don to come.
Don ambled in a few minutes later; gruff and chomping on a toothpick. He slowly got all the paperwork together and sat us down for the purchase. He had no personality, no grace or no friendliness — just gruff and crotchety, frayed toothpick waggling around his mouth the entire exchange. The best part was when he offered us the extended warranty and, when we declined, proceeded to tell us that the microwave we were buying wouldn’t last long at all — none of them do, apparently. «Doesn’t matter which brand you buy.»

This is our go-​to home improvement store, and we haven’t had a bad experience yet during the past year we’ve been shopping here. There are always employees asking if they can help you, the lines are never long, and returns are processed quickly and easily. You can’t ask for much more.
