Cherry Blossom Restaurant & Banquet Hall

Came here with my coworkers today and dang yo that white sauce was dank! I ate so much chicken kabob rice pudding and coffee I was super wired! Perfect meal after shoveling snowmageddon for the past 4 days!

This is about the best choice in the area for Afghan food. Their buffet is very good. Nice broad selection of Afghan dishes with all of the standard fare. The ambience of the restaurant is decent for having a casual dinner with friends or family. My children and their friends have enjoyed the buffet here more than I would’ve expected.

Came here for the first time and i can honestly say i highly regret coming here and spending the 10.99 for the buffett not worth it at all in my eyes, where do i start, I literally could not find one thing i enjoyed there besides the lentils were ok, the potatos were alright and maybe the lentil soup but thats about it. the bread was awful and not even warm, their chicken with tomato sauce was gross I tried a lot of the food their and couldnt finish one plate. even their chicken kabob was horrible. I feel like the food had been sitting for awhile and I was eating leftovers. I didnt stay long even though i tried to force myself to enjoy something… any way i definetly wont be coming back I had a pretty bad experience and didnt enjoy the food and the service from the waitress sucked

The banquet hall is beautiful! The catering is delicious and much better than the buffet. We’ve been to numerous weddings as it’s become a favorite among our family and friends. The eggplant and kabobs leave me waiting for someone else to get hitched :-)

Pretty good place to go to for iftar

Excellent! Food and service were exceptional. Very quiet, but it was early (3:30pm) and, more importantly, Ramadan. Great selection, which encouraged you to take a bit of everything, and they only put a bit out on the line (buffet-​style) at a time so everything was always fresh. The selection had a bit of everything but not so much that it was confusing, perfect.
My family are usually picky eaters & had not eaten this kind of food, but everyone tried and loved nearly everything on offer. More than once «wow» emanated from around the table.
Service was excellent and will definitely be putting this place in the rotation!

I like this restaurant since has a lot of buffet variety, the test is good specially for chicken tikka and Kabab.

I love Cherry Blossom and was very sad to find out last night that they have limited hours now :(11 a.m. — 4 p.m.
It’s such a great place for all you can eat Middle Eastern food, with lots of Kabobs and other delicious stuff on the bar.
I would highly recommend you to stop by here between those hours if you’re available! I’m just very sad that I may never have the opportunity to go there again :(

Amazing Food, Amazing Service and Amazing Ambiance.
Went there for lunch buffet. Everything was just awesome. The chicken kabobs were very juicy. They had this cream chicken with mushroom which was just amazing. Will certainly recommend this place.

The lunch buffet is great, somewhat pricey but not too bad. Plus you can eat enough that you’ll barely want dinner later. Owner is super friendly and often will swing by to chit-​chat which is always nice. It’s nice to have sort of a kebab all you can eat kind of setup, though they’re not the best Afghani place in the area.

Cherry blossom … Food always good 2 stars. Been here many times. Maria was great 1 star. Better managed would be 5 star. Three people eating during lunch with 7 – 9 employees walking around. Owner walks in like he is KING LOL. Obviously there making money on the other side. weddings etc.fishy to me

This was my first visit to cherry blossom restaurant. I tried the dinner buffet at $ 15.99. At first it appears that the buffet selection is quite small, but as soon as i started sampling the food i did realize it was quality over quantity. Every single dish tasted great to me, probably the only exception was the cabbage which seemed a bit oily. But the kabobs, chicken curry dishes, rice, soup, vegetables, even the salad dressing was on point and tasted wonderfull. I will definitely be visiting again.
Only suggestion is for the servers to be more attentive in removing the dirty dishes. They seemed a bit slow. Also, there is a 18% gratuity charge for parties of 9 or more. Not sure why since it is a buffet. Hello restaurant owners???
So go there, eat kabobs, and like my review. Hopefully you too will have a great dining experience.

We drove all the from Baltimore to eat at this restaurant based on 4 Star reviews. In my opinion it’s only One Star based on food not being fresh and mixed with left overs apart from the poor service. You will have to beg them to bring more kabob. Also the meat kabob was kinda sweet!!!

Ate here for the first time, it was better than I thought it would be. It is like a Kebab buffet. It was a little slow when I stopped in, but it was a weekday in mid-​afternoon so I was afraid the food would be dry. But it was actually good and the meats were moist. I would go back for lunch or dinner again soon. If you want a kebab meal you may as well go here for the all you can eat version.

The thing i love about this place is prices for lunch buffet is so cheap (about 11 $) but you get variety of great food and salads. Their chicken and beef kabob are sooo good, can be compare to fancy kabob restaurant quality. Their teas are pretty good too. Everyone should give this place a try.

I had my daughter’s 2^nd BDay Party @ Cherry Blossom this past weekend.
I just wanted to say the hall, staff and management are absolutely amazing!
Everything was done exactly as we wanted and Henry, the manager of the hall, was there making sure my family and guests were well taken care of.
I also wanted to especially thank Joan for helping setup our event and for being so detail oriented, organized and thorough.
I will definitely be back for my next event!

The interior is beautiful and clean, and the staff is VERY friendly and attentive. I want to re-​emphasize how nice the staff was.
But the dinner buffet really was very so-​so. They had beef (kubideh style) kabobs, chicken kabobs (pretty good, seasoned with sumac), a chickpea-​beef-​chicken mixture patty-​style kabob, several different veggie dishes, chickpeas, etc. They brought a really great, warm piece of naan to the table — the biggest I’ve ever seen. Some of the food was OK, nothing blew me away and lots of it was just straight disgusting (the eggplant dish) or unflavored (lentils, spinach, etc.). The dishes are just nowhere nearly as spicy or savory as I expect Indian to be. The spinach, for example, lacked that creamy saagwala consistency and flavor and had a really powerful frozen spinach taste with zero spice heat.
Honestly, I feel like this place kind of deserves a second chance, but there are so many GREAT options in the area that I’ll probably never bother. For my money, Akshaya on Sterling Boulevard or Jaipur in Fairfax are top-​notch and MUCH better choices.

I had a really good lunch here today with my husband — loved the rice with the plump juicy raisins, the chicken & mushrooms, the beef kabobs (always perfectly seasoned, and I always look for the slightly more charred pieces), and the rice pudding magnificent. Great service, decent price for an AYCE buffet, in a great setting. They also had bread, salad, and dressing on another table, so everything was spread apart and organized. This place offers only buffet for both the lunch and dinner. The service was efficient, and the dining area is white tableclothed and very clean. There are a variety of dishes that are offered, both vegetarian as well as kabob and meats — the taste is great, and for $ 9.99, you would expect a little less on the quality. However, the kabobs were basically the best I’ve had ever at a buffet, the rice was good, and the seasoning on all the dishes were on par. I especially LOVED their rice pudding — it was right on the money.
